Game is stuck - how can I progress to the next screen?

I'm going to post in the bugs forum, but I'm curious if, in the meantime, anyone knows how I can move forward without having to shut down the game and lose my progress?

I think it froze because I clicked back to tactics before progressing. The wheel is still spinning endlessly.

Pressing the space bar sometimes continue, but not sure if it does anything there.

No, unfortunately.

I have the game set to save automatically after every fixture, but I don't see an updated save in my files, so it's either froze right before or during that process for some reason.

Oh wow haha - I didn't realize I could click anything while the screen was grayed out, but you're right! Space bar didn't work but clicking 'continue' actually did. Thanks for that, I suppose I should've thought of it.
