I thought that might be it @Hootieleece Eliteserien we Played 30, Won 20, Drew 9, Lost 1 for a total of 69 points and the title. Still too many draws for my liking but we gained seven more points than second placed Molde and a whopping 14 points more than Valerenga and Sandnes Ulf in third and fourth. I'll be honest, I feared a defeat against Bodø/Glimt with all the players unavailable (I had to unregister nine players and register nine 2nd Team / U19 players, just to fill out the matchday squad) so to dominate the game like we did, away to a good team like Bodø/Glimt, I was delighted. I'd have gladly taken a draw before the match so I wasn't disappointed with a draw. 19 hours ago, JaytheGreat said: Unbeaten in 36 games is crazy Yep, it certainly is, particularly when you factor in the UEFA Europa League victories over AZ Alkmaar, Union Berlin, St. Gallen and FC Nordsjælland. 19 hours ago, JaytheGreat said: hopefully it keeps rolling. Stuniverse
Wednesday 29th November 2034 Petersen Set For Viking Return -- After Oliver Petersen's heroics (7.7) for Bodø/Glimt in the 2-2 draw against us recently, we reached out to his agent to see if Oliver was interested in returning to Viking as our back-up goalkeeper. His agent said Oliver would be very interested so, as we'll need to replace our current #3 goalkeeper Sander Lønning in the squad, because he's out-of-contract and the end of the season and has no interest in renewing, we set about speaking to Bodø/Glimt about a deal. Stuniverse
As we prepare to face Fredrikstad in the Norgesmesterskapet i fotball (Cupen) Final, it's difficult not to think back to the 2029 Final when we lost on penalties to Fredrikstad. The similarities are ominous. In 2029, we were reigning Cupen holders, we had just claimed the Eliteserien title, whilst Fredrikstad had finished 7th in OBOS-ligaen, missing out on the Playoffs. This season, we are reigning Cupen holders, we've just claimed the Eliteserien title, whilst Fredrikstad finished 4th in OBOS-ligaen, and lost in the OBOS-ligaen Playoff Final to Hamarkameratene. We have two players, Edvin Austbø and Oscar Bobb, who are still at Viking and played in that 2029 Cupen Final. -- Take a trip down memory lane... On 24/03/2024 at 15:50, Stuniverse said: Sunday 9th December 2029 Viking (Tier 1) v Fredrikstad (Tier 2) Norgesmesterskapet i fotball (Cupen) Final Ullevaal Stadion, Oslo -- Eliteserien OBOS-ligaen -- -- -- Congratulations to Jakob Michelsen and his Fredrikstad team on winning Cupen but I honestly don't know how we didn't win it in 90 minutes and I cannot believe what I saw in extra-time. The first half went pretty much according to plan. We scored after only one minute forty-two seconds and doubled our lead on 21 minutes. Credit to Fredrikstad, they came at us in the second half, as they had to, and pulled a goal back four minutes after the restart. But we then took control of the second half and had plenty of chances to score a third. Håvar Jenssen was inspired in their goal and he made several excellent saves. We should've seen the game out but a mix-up at the back allowed Fredrikstad to equalisze. And so we went to extra-time and the madness set in. I can't explain it and I certainly couldn't believe it. Lasse Berg Johnsen elbowed an opponent and was deservedly sent off. We adjusted, made changes, and Brice Wembangomo scored a brilliant goal just before the end of the first period of extra-time to give us a 3-2 lead. It was a goal that deserved to win Cupen but it wasn't to be. Into the second period of extra-time, El Hadji Malick Diouf needlessly dived in two-footed, on the halfway line, and he's shown a red card as well. Down to nine-men, we went defensive and were holding our own. Edvin Austbø had a great chance to make it 4-2 but Håvar Jenssen made his best save of the game to deny him. A minute to go, Otto Rosengren gets caught in possession and Fredrikstad equalise. And so it was penalties. Martin Palumbo stepped up first and Håvar Jenssen saved his spot-kick. We scored our remaining four penalties, but Fredrikstad didn't miss and Cupen was there's. Fair play to them. I don't blame Martin one bit. He was brave enough to put his hand up and take the first penalty. I blame the two players who saw red. I have no idea what Lasse Berg Johnsen and El Hadji Malick Diouf were thinking. Who picks these Player of the Match awards? How can you possibly give it to El Hadji Malick Diouf when he did what he did for the most ridiculous red card when his team are 3-2 up and already down to 10-men? --
Stuniverse
Preview - Fredrikstad (neutral) Norgesmesterskapet i fotball (Cupen) Final Ullevaal Stadion, Oslo -- -- We haven't played Fredrikstad much during my time at Viking as they were only in Eliteserien for the 2032 season, but they did beat us in the 2029 Cupen Final so we know we have to be on it, and match them for effort and work rate, if we want to be the ones celebrating at the final whistle. - I think the Brann victory has to be right up there because it was a Best i vest derby Cupen-tie, but we actually knocked three Eliteserien teams out of Cupen on our way to the Final. I'd say Bodø/Glimt away in the Semi Final was probably our toughest tie. Fredrikstad knocked two Eliteserien teams out on their way to the Final, Molde and Rosenborg, so we know they will be difficult opponents. - There's a lot resting on this Norgesmesterskapet i fotball (Cupen) Final for both teams. For us, it's an opportunity that doesn't come around very often to retain the Cupen Trophy and, at the same time, secure a domestic Eliteserien-Cupen double. Our de mørkeblå supporters have been magnificent this season and lifting the Norgesmesterskapet i fotball (Cupen) Trophy in the Ullevaal Stadion would be the perfect way to repay them. We hope that this time it will be our fans celebrating victory in Cupen Final, not Fredrikstad's. Unfortunately, Daniel Daga will miss Cupen Final with flu and the game has come too soon for Lasse Nordås (achilles) and Joakim Berg Nundal (shin splints). Everybody else is fit and raring to go which means I'll have some very disappointed players as I can only start 11 players and name nine on the bench. A Norgesmesterskapet i fotball (Cupen) Final is a match every player wants to play in but, sadly, not all the squad can. I've had a word with Jasper Robertsen about his recent form although he'll probably start because of the good partnership he's built up with Edvin Austbø down the right wing over the season. -- Expected Line-up Edited August 7 by Stuniverse
Stuniverse
Sunday 10th December 2034 Viking (Eliteserien) v Fredrikstad (OBOS-ligaen) Norgesmesterskapet i fotball (Cupen) Final Ullevaal Stadion, Oslo -- -- -- -- I've loved Norgesmesterskapet i fotball (Cupen) since I was a young kid growing up so to have had the opportunity to manage Viking in five Cupen Finals is an amazing feeling I'll never grow tired of. We've lifted the Trophy three times in 2028 and then again last season (2033) and this season (2034). But we also lost in the Final in 2029 and 2032. To win Norgesmesterskapet i fotball (Cupen) last season and retain the Trophy this season really is something very special. I'm so proud of the Viking players today. They have been magnificent all season on the training ground, on the pitch and off the pitch, and thoroughly deserve this success. We let our supporters down last season so to win the domestic Eliteserien-Cupen double this season is very much for them. I hope they can celebrate tonight and savour the achievement through the Winter. We knew Fredrikstad would be a difficult opponent and so it proved. In a Final of few clear cut chances I thought we had the better of it and deserved our victory. Tinius Sundell gave us a 12th minute lead after a brilliant dribble and shot from the edge of the penalty area. Substitute Julian Gonstad doubled our lead, and won Cupen's Golden Boot, with a powerful shot into the roof of the net from close range after brilliant work down the left wing by Costel Tilincă and Kasper Jakobsen. Going into five minutes of added-on time we felt comfortable, but got nervier and nervier as the clock ticked down. The fourth official announced a minimum five minutes, we were screaming at the players, "Nothing silly, nothing silly" but in the sixth of five added-on minutes, we switched off and Fredrikstad scored a late, late consolation goal. We played another minute, the seventh of five added-on minutes, before the referee blew the final whistle and we were Norgesmesterskapet i fotball (Cupen) winners. We're all working in football to win silverware. It's a great feeling and we want to win more. I'm so proud of this group of players. Hopefully we can keep the squad together through the January-March transfer window and go again next season. -- -- Edited August 7 by Stuniverse

Stuniverse
Preview - Brighton & Hove Albion (away) UEFA Europa League League Path -- -- We haven't played Brighton during my time at Viking and we're expecting a very difficult match in England at the Brighton & Hove Community Stadium. Stuniverse
Thursday 14th December 2034 Brighton & Hove Albion (England) v Viking (Norway) UEFA Europa League League Path -- -- -- Spoiler Christian McFarlane scored twice for Brighton which isn't bad from left-back. I understand those were his first ever goals for Brighton which kind of sums up our luck today. I thought we were superb today and should've won based on the number of chances created. Henrik Skogvold and Anders Hartveit Ryste gave us a two goal lead and we then hit the woodwork an incredible three times - Henrik Skogvold twice and Edvin Austbø once. Brighton are a good team and, unfortunately, we couldn't keep them out and ended up with a draw and a valuable point which could prove very important when the League Path concludes in the new year. It's frustrating that Brighton's equaliser... we should've defended better... our goalkeeper Hans Jørgen Solberg came for a deep cross, was never going to get it, and he gifted Christian McFarlane an empty net to head the ball into. But we've guaranteed at least a UEFA Europa League Playoff place now. We'll give the players a well-deserved break over Christmas and the New Year and then regroup in 2035 for two home matches that, hopefully, will see us clinch an automatic place in the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 draw. --

Stuniverse
Saturday 16th December 2034 Hægstad Johnsen Unhappy -- Spoiler Per Joar Hægstad Johnsen is a player I have a lot of time for and I'd really like things to work out for him at Viking but I've found it difficult to give him enough playing time to keep him happy. This is the second time Per Joar has been to see me recently about wanting to go out on loan. Although I didn't speak to him, I have been trying to loan him out... ... but there's been no interest so far. -- I decided to speak to Per Joar Hægstad Johnsen this time as it won't do to keep ignoring him if I want to try and keep him happy. FM24 didn't give me an option to agree to loan him out as I would have gone for that so, instead, I suggested we set a target for him to go out on loan but Per Joar Hægstad Johnsen didn't like that idea. So, in the end, I agreed to increase his playing time which, unfortunately, has resulted in a promise. I will, however, continue to try and loan him out whilst, in pre-season, seeing if I can get him more involved in the team. -- At the same time, I decided to look at his Playing Time status which currently is Squad Player.
