AntSou
I tried searching for an answer but everything that comes up are statements about the game being scripted against their own team, a claim which seems to constantly being proven incorrect. What I want to know is if anyone else experiences, with consistency, and especially in the first years of a new save, that abysmal starts to the league for teams expected to finish in the top spots tend to correct themselves in the very final matches of the campaign. Is the game coded in such a manner that teams overperforming "feel the pressure" towards the end, and start losing matches, while teams underperforming start playing better? It would make sense if it was so.
turnip
The answer you're looking for is 'confirmation bias'. You see this thing happen because you're looking for it. You don't notice the 95% of times it doesn't happen.
XaW
No matches are scripted, SI have said so many times. One thing that _can_ happen is a team with generally low "Important matches" all around the squad might do worse in the run in towards a potential league title, since each match become more and more important, but that goes for every team that's fighting for something (promotion, relegation, etc). But no, there is no scriping, every match is played based on attributes and the variables as the matches played by the user. If the league is set to "full detail" of course. The QME for quick sim might give a different result, but those are not scripted either, just quicker with less detail.
