I'm out and only following on the radio but the atmosphere sounds great, might just be the comparison with Qatar

Guess it's because there are actual fans here? Not people paid to wear football shirts and pretend?

It is excellent. Helps when it is so easily accessible to fans from both countries.

I know it is only half way through the first half, but these sides look 'decent'. I want a little more from Hungary though.

Expected more from them, look so pedestrian.

Swiss making cheese out of them.

Swiss been finding holes like in a cheese :D

Expect Hungary to get into the game at one point though, not much coming from them thus far

Akanje is really good isn't he? Looks like the best player on the pitch out there.

It's astonishing how much better he has become since joining City.

He was a calamity, when he was at BVB.

I'm very impressed with the Swiss pressing - it's what Scotland ought to have been doing last night.

Scotland should've done lots of things differnetly yesterday :D

Very much not living up to dark horse status so far..

If anything, they are living up to it. Every time a lot of people call a team a dark horse they do terribly. :D

Oof, lovely hit

Hungary really easily cut through before that and then not getting out fast enough. Very much not living up to dark horse status so far..

The only people giving them dark horse status are the ones who never watched them other than against England.

There's an obvious difference in quality.

They did top their qualifying group albeit now I remember it wasn't the strongest...

I'm not gonna defend the team after last night, but I would say that we're seeing something similar here - a good team makes its opponents look ordinary. The Germans were simply too quick in thought, too creative, too damned skilful for the Scots to cope with. The Hungarians are similarly struggling to deal with the Swiss who are quicker mentally and very well-organised.

It was a joke other than Serbia that's strong only on paper.
I really don't see any quality in that team other than Szoboszlai.

Ndoye and Aebischer breaking out this season gave Switzerland a big boost.

It’s my fault. Bosnia 2014, Austria 2016, Morocco 2018, Turkey 2020, Canada 2022. Every time I call someone out it’s an absolute kiss of death.

Don't you think it would be a good idea to stop hyping up Southgate? :brock:

All those teams you mentioned were a few tiers above this Hungary team in terms of individual quality.

Tyldesley has me all nostalgic for old school commentators. They don't make 'em like they used to.

He and Townsend make a good pairing.

Andros yes, Andy Townsend brings back worse memories :D

Oh yes, Andy Townsend FFS, what was that about? He must have had some photos of somebody high up at ITV or something.

Xhaka strolling this game at the moment, very similar to the Kroos performance yesterday

He could've had so much better career if he learned how to control his temper earlier and didn't have all those blackout moments.
