Oh, now it is a yellow card offense if you kick somebody who is blocking. Very interesting.

I mean, if you (accidentally) stamp into their midriff then yes?

Geez, another crap French ref, he just given Kane a yellow but not Fabian, for exactly the same thing

That should be a pen in truth. Not even looking at the ball.

Rice is allowed to. Did exactly the same to Aké. Twice.

Laporte collapsed. Not enough of a hold there to warrant a pen. If it goes on a couple of seconds longer then yeh maybe Spain have a point.

Rice was trying to hold him up. He's obviously got a problem with his legs to collapse like that

Bellingham loves an imagined foul doesn't he?

He's won I think all of his aerial challenges so far, but we haven't really utilised that to its fullest.

Bellingham winning a header and Kane still lumbering forward from his own half is a problem.

Yeah having someone up there that can get onto all these knock downs that Bellingham is providing could do some real damage. At the moment Bellingham is having to chase them himself.

That Mainoo ball that didn't work out is emblematic of the way Kane is out of sync with the rest of the England attack. Not because of the pass failing, but because while everyone else immediately reacted and started chasing back, Kane stopped and threw his arms up.

Stones really has been excellent tonight. One of England's best performers at this tournament, in my opinion.

Considering all the talk about how our defence is our weak point, it's been the CBs that have shone. Guéhi, Stones and Konsa all been great.

Kane is swinging his leg as much as he can post shot now :)

The refs made such a poor precedent last game. Next time he connects with this post shot swing, they have to give a penalty again for conistency.

Reminds me of basketball and show they started calling offensive fouls on shooters kicking their legs out too far.

0-0 HT.

Spain perhaps the better team, but neither team has really come close to scoring. England certainly won't while Kane insists on turning this formation into a 3-5-2-0.

Plenty of room for improvement but it's not been that bad a half. Spain created nothing.

Not created anything clear (thanks to Morata terrible pass) but it’s not sustainable conceding this possession and needing to travel 70 yards for an attack. Loads of crosses by Spain which have been bad. We’ve had like one cross.
