  1. February 2030 The National Division returns and we pick up we left off, winning ways! What a month for Veselcic and Yeboah; four goals for the former and seven for the latter. 15 points clear and still not dropped a point.
  2. January 2030 We're into the thirties and we're back after a shortened winter break with the UEL League Phase to finish. Two defeats finish our continental season, we had taken the lead against the Austrian's but were quickly behind, Camara have us some chance but we couldn't capatilise to get a draw. It was going to be a difficult ask to get anything against Sporting, the Portuguese side needing a win on the outside chance of qualifying automatically if results went their way. One more point would have seen us qualify for the Knock Out Play-Offs.
  3. December 2029 We end the calendar year on a pretty cautious note in the league. We fell behind against Rumelange before Monge equalised but Veselcic was sent off in the same minute also, Ignacio came on to rescue us late on. We rotated slightly for the Jeunesse Canach game, in came Jose Carlos from the youth team and he scored his first National Division goal and Yeboah bagged a brace. A clean sweep for the first half of the season and 12 points clear of Una Strassen in second. We targeted this game for a point before the league phase commenced, we got that point but the added fact was that Brondby were top of the league going into the game. We drop again down to 20th, we face Sturm Graz (28th) and Sporting (19th) in the remaining games in January.
  4. November 2029 Only three domestic games this month. A rotated side put five past Etzella Ettlebruck in the Luxembourg Cup. Ignacio moaned about game time so I stuck him in against Dudelange and he scored four, a new club record for goals in a match. We rotated to a degree again for the Wiltz match and it kind of showed with us only scoring three goals. A nice 10-point gap has opened up over Wiltz who are in second place at the moment. Ignoring the Braga result as that's not right. A close game at home to Spurs, we scored one of our two clear-cut chances. We drop down to 16th but we're still ahead of the likes of Real Sociedad, Toulouse, Brighton, West Ham, Galatasaray and Wolfsburg.
  5. November 2029 Not sure what has gone on here... We lost 2-1 despite scoring twice and the first image shows we were 2-1 up at half-time.
  6. October 2029 Another month of green in the domestic competitions. Veselcic keeps on scoring goals despite being the poorest player attribute-wise in the AMC positions, his two goals against Mondercange and two more against Titus Petange means he has now scored 150 goals for us since the beginning of the save. A near fully rotated side smashed eight past lower league Schieren in the Luxembourg Cup. Seth Yeboah also leading the line well for the club, two more goals against Fola Esch means he has scored nine league goals in eight games. 11 from 11, pretty imperious form. Progres finally managed to get off the mark with a draw against Differdange. Just one UEL game this month against Finnish side HJK. A comfortable 3-0 win with Yeboah scoring another double. Mixing it with the big boys of the league phase.
  7. September 2029 Another four wins from four league games this month. We needed a stooping header from the big Irish lad Heffernan to defeat Differdange in the opening game of the month. A comfortable win over Rosport saw us collect our fourth clean sheet in six games. Two goals in a minute for Veselcic helped us to a 4-0 win over Progres, the home side had one shot which was off target all game. We rested the whole first XI for a week by accident so we rotated heavily and Aiman Dardari profited with a hattrick to down Jeunesse Esch. We're top with eight wins from eight, whilst Progres are bottom with eight losses from eight. A solid start in the UEL League Phase. A good draw at home to Genk from across the border. We picked up our first win in the league largely thanks to Seth Yeboah who scored twice and assisted both goals for Monge against Crvena zvezda. Early days.
  8. September 2029 The board rejected my request to improve the training facilities.
  9. September 2029 The transfer window has closed and we've signed five players to strengthen the squad. Eldin Dzogovic is a Luxembourg international and was released by German side Wiesbaden, he joins as a rotational player for RB. We then triggered the release clause of Spanish striker Ignacio from lower league side La Nucia, I was looking for a quick striker who could stretch the defence to allow more space for the Shadow Strikers to work in. We were then recommended Luciano, an 18-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper who's release clause was just £8,250 from Sergpipe, we had to agree a £65k release clause in his new contract but we'll get rid of the as soon as possible. Having lost a German defender in the summer, we paid the release clause of £63k for Malte Schulwitz from Meppen. He slots straight in alongside Irish centre-back Heffernan. Last to join was another striker, Seth Yeboah who was on an amateur contract at Portuguese non-league side Grijo.
  10. August 2029 A decent start to the league campaign with four wins from four games. We battered Mondorf for just three goals, 12 shots on target with four clear-cut chances for us in that game with Seth Yeboah scoring his first league goal as a new signing. Against Schifflange, we restricted them to just two shots on goal of which both were off target, Monge and Desurmont both claiming a goal and an assist. Another game where the opposition didn't have a shot on target but we didn't play much better against Racing FC, scoring just once. We went behind against Una Strassen but came back through Monge and Ignacio. The only unbeaten side remaining. Ferencvaros were just too good for us in the first leg in Hungary, they were clinical and 2-0 after six minutes and added a 3rd just after half-time. We made a fight of it in the return leg but the away goal from them killed the tie off. We dropped down into the UEL Play-Offs once more and faced Slovakian side Trnava, a comfortable 3-0 away win all but sent us through whilst we drew 1-1 at home with a slightly rotated side in the home leg. Some big sides in here, Tottenham and Sporting CP namely, I think we can get some points against HJK and maybe a couple of draws with Crvena zvezda and Brondby.
  11. July 2029 We went into the first leg against Shamrock a little undercooked, we'd played a couple of friendlies to try and build some fitness but we also lacked players. Sangare (ST) left to join Troyes and Prosche (CB) left to return to Germany with Hallescher, coupled with another two players leaving on free transfers we felt a bit light. We offered very little going forward, creating more chances than our Irish counterparts but less on target, a drab 0-0 draw. A week later we were a little bit better off fitness-wise, we rested most of the first XI in the friendly between games and we improved. Costa Rican international Sergio Monge netted his first of the season along with an assist for one of the other goals, a routine 3-0 win. We faced Swiss side Young Boys in the 2nd Qualifying Round and I expected that to be the end of the road for us in the UCL. 17 shots, 10 on target, and three clear-cut chances with 3.26xG we bullied them, 3-0 up at halftime through the shadow strikers, new signing Ignacio capped of a superb result with his first goal in a Luxembourg City shirt. In the return leg in Switzerland, it was a different kettle of fish, the home side dominated the game and ran out 2-0 winners, our goalkeeper Luciano, another new signing earning the top rating for us whilst making 11 saves from the 13 shots he faced on his goal. We face Ferencvaros in the 3rd Qualifying Round.
  12. June 2029 We are now the most reputable side in Luxembourg.
  13. June 2029 Other Luxembourg Teams in Europe Mondorf Juenesse Esch Differdange
  14. 2028/29 Season Review A winning end to the month with three solid wins. League - Predicted 1st | Finished 1st Heavy favourites for the league title after just five seasons in the save. We were pretty imperious, we finished 17 points clear of 2nd place with just one loss and three draws suffered in the 30 games. We scored 113 goals at 3.77 per game and conceded just 25 at 0.83 per game. We're currently on a 26-game unbeaten run having lost to Racing FC back in August. Luxembourg Cup - Winners - we beat Bettembourg, Medernach, Jeunesse Esch, Jeunesse Canach and Wiltz on route to the final where we beat Mondercange. Champions League - Lost in Play-Offs A really good qualifying campaign, we beat Sheriff Tiraspol, Astana and Dun. Streda on route to reaching the playoffs where we were bettered by Rangers. Europa League - Lost in Knock-Out Play-Offs A good start to the league phase beating Ferencvaros and picking up draws against Qarabag and Napoli. We later went on to beat Omonoia and surprisingly Braga, both 1-0. We finished 18th in the league phase which meant a knock-out playoff where we faced Sporting CP, we were no match for the Portuguese side, losing 4-0 on aggregate. Top Scorer - Mahamadou Sangare (36) - 52 games for the lone frontman this season and he scored 36 goals with 28 of those coming in the league to see him finish as the top scorer. Unfortunately, he wants to leave, exploring his options at the end of his contract. Most Assists - Aiman Dardari (17) - we rotated our midfield four a fair bit through the course of the season. We actually had six players finish the season double figures for assists with a further four achieving eight or nine. Average Rating - Sergio Monge (7.75) - a January signing so maybe not a true reflection but the young Costa Rican played in 22 games, scoring 10 times and making nine assists. We've made good improvements off the pitch this season, with upgrades to both the training and youth facilities along with increases to the junior coaching and youth recruitment, which have culminated in our first player being poached.
  15. May 2029 Our first poached player, which in my eyes says we're doing something right. The recent junior coaching improvements have triggered the right level of CA/PA players to be poached. I'm delighted that he is also going to a foreign club.
  16. April 2029 The good form continued in April but a far more low-scoring month. We disappointingly dropped points against Jeunesse Canach but then beat them in the cup a few days later. During this month we have achieved a new record... We've surpassed the previous record of 100 which was set by Swift Hesperange. We're champions already, the table has one game from May in it.
  17. Thanks, @LowestLeagueHero for the info. Its always welcome. Swift's real-life situation doesn't mirror in game anymore but probably more likely due to the basic information provided in the league file which was in line with adding the leagues only. Yeah, the prediction for them to winners a season or so ago was probably more related to their reputation at the time but looking at it they only have a 1.5* reputation now. Personally, we've been able to leap ahead of most of the other teams due to being able to manually scout for players and pick up some decent amateur options from Belgium and the Netherlands. Then progress quite rapidly in Europe season-on-season. We need the academy to start producing a few more players for us, there was an initial burst but as we've improved the squad with the players coming in the PA has dropped off a cliff. We have both excellent junior coaching and youth recruitment as things stand.
  18. March 2029 Another good month with four wins from the four games but a little disappointing to have only collected two clean sheets. We creating so many goalscoring opportunities at the moment, we've had 85 shots on goal this month with 44 of those on target and amassing just 12.29xG but scored 19 goals from it. The supposed top sides are just not coping with life in Luxembourg at the moment. Differdange are 9th, Fola Esch are 10th, Dudelange are 12th and Progres are 13th.
  19. March 2029 We need more upgrades but the owner/chairman is reluctant. A really poor crop of players but I am loving the nationalities represented here. Indian again, Cape Verde, USA and a couple of half-Greeks.
  20. February 2029 We're absolutely flying in the league at the moment, four games this month with four wins without conceding. 20 goals were scored with Dardari scoring six of them. 11 points clear with a huge goal difference with 11 games remaining. A comfortable loss against Sporting CP in the UEL Knock Out Playoffs. I'm really happy with our progression in this competition this season.
  21. December 2028 & January 2029 A big win over Mondorf in the league ended the domestic season before the winter break. We also faced Cypriot side Omonoia in the UEL. We dominated the game for just two shots on target, thankfully one of which we took through Dardari. After the winter break, we traveled the few hundred miles to Lille and lost 2-0, we actually had more shots on target than they did but they had the better chances. We ended the UEL League Phase with a win over Braga of Portugal, we dominated the game, 20 shots and eight on target compared to their seven and four on target, we were deserving of the win. We'll return to the domestic league with a nine-point cushion over 2nd place. We finished the UEL League Phase in 18th place above the likes of Feyernoord, Athletic Bilbao, Hertha Berlin, Stuttgart and Dynamo Kyiv. We now face Sporting Portugal in the Knock Out Playoff Round. Two more players joined in January, first to arrive was Sergio Monge from Costa Rican side Limon FC. He will offer some more depth in the AMC slot but is here primarily to improve and be sold. The other player to join was Rayan Perin on loan, I didn't think we needed another goalkeeper but we nearly had a mutiny on our hands as a team leader felt we needed another and the whole squad agreed. He'll be sat on the bench.
  22. November 2028 A narrow loss to Dinamo in the UEL, they took their chance in the 84th minute to win the game. We then won a game by a narrow margin, 1-0 over Progress although we had 29 shots, 12 on target and created 3.27xG, Progres on the other hand had two shots and just one on target. We welcomed German side Hertha Berlin across the border and it went as well as I expected, a 4-0 loss. A poor score draw against Wiltz, possibly a knock-on effect from loss to Hertha, a pretty even game with the home side having the better opportunities to score. A weeks rest and we traveled to Mondercange to win fairly comfortably, we were 3-0 up, conceded twice and Cathal Heffernan netted a fourth. Six points clear of Jeunesse Esch, a further four ahead of 3rd to 5th.
