I have bought the game on my Huawei tablet and it works fine until the game needs updating. I then don't have enough storage on the tablet so I need to uninstall the game and then install again which is frustrating. Is there anyway to keep playing the game without the need to update it all the time.

You can turn off automatic updating in your Google Play Store settings. We are working on being able to do diffed updates on Android so you don't have to redownload all of the data when it's updated.

Very disappointed that no dark skin has been added for tablet users a lot of people have wanted that, seems odd that, nothing’s been done about it!

The default skin is the successor to the Dark skin. In FM19 Touch we had Dark and Retro - we retired the Retro skin this year (RIP :() because it was rarely used and this way we can spend more time improving the default skin. We made some changes to how we inherit from the FM skin which will be why there are some elements which are now lighter in the default skin than they were in the Dark skin - I can suggest a setting to make certain elements darker in future versions potentially if there's strong demand for this.

  2. This is frustrating for us too and we really would have loved to be able to release the update on Switch but there's not much we can do; to release a game on Nintendo's platform we have to abide by their guidelines.

I'd much rather receive this update and enjoy the game with a working Match Engine, even if it means we'd have to skip the data update

With respect, we'd have just as many complaints - if not more - if we did this.

  3. In fact the only issue in the changelist which requires a new save is this one:

    - Fix for numerous high quality newgen managers being generated near the start of the game.

I'll update the announcement post accordingly so that's clearer.

There may also be the odd few competition-related fixes which went into FM and carry over to FMT which would also require a new save but I don't know the full extent of issues fixed for FM in the 20.2 and 20.2.1 updates which would affect FMT as well.

  4. They were generated at the start of new games, so they'll only be "phased out" when they start to retire which will obviously be quite a long time into a save.

What was happening was we were still extracting staff from the main FM database who had roles we don't include in FMT (e.g. Data Analyst, Head of Player Development). They were then getting re-classified to the most suitable available role in FMT which was usually Manager, and since many of them had high ability in the database they were coming out with really good attributes.

  5. We're delighted to announce the release of Update 20.2.1 for FM20 Touch on Windows, Mac, iOS and Android!

The update is save game compatible, allowing you to continue your current career, but please note that the newgen manager fix listed below only affects new games started after updating.

On PC and Mac, the update should now be automatically available to download via Steam.

On iOS devices, go to the Updates page in the App Store, find Football Manager 2020 Touch in the Pending list and tap the Update button.

On Android devices the game should update automatically if you have auto-updating on. You can update manually by going to My apps & games in the Google Play Store, finding Football Manager 2020 Touch in the Updates tab, and tapping the Update button.

Thanks to everyone who has raised issues on our bugs forums and thanks for your patience in waiting for this update to arrive.

  6. Unfortunately Stadia doesn't currently allow for files other than saves to be kept. We are discussing with Google and trying to find a resolution that will allow for this but can't make any promises.

Apart from the saving of additional files we had to remove the ability to share highlights and the ability to connect to social media, and there's no Steam Workshop of course, but apart from that everything else should be the same experience as on Steam.

In regards to the development centre for FMT, how and when do youth players come through it into the reserve team?

You should get a yearly intake around the end of the season (and you'll get a preview a few months before). This year they come in as triallists and can be viewed in the Youth Candidates section of the Dev Centre - you'll need to sign the ones you want to keep to youth contracts or they'll leave at the end of their trial contracts.
