  1. Tunisia has indeed been poor so far. I was impressed by them against Denmark, so had them as favourites today. But maybe it just suits them better to play defensively against a better team, than having to need to creat the game themself.
  2. It doen't make any sense for the to switch back. They'll be basicly guranteed a spot through the AFC qualification, while it would come down to two games against NZ in Oceania. And although Australia would win most of them, I could easely see NZ grabbing the spot every now and then. And than Austarlia would have to play playoffs against a team from South America, and we know how that usually goes.
  3. Tunisia has never had the really big stars like the ones you mentioned, or Ghana, Egypt, Algeria etc. They are also never favourites for the AFCON (they won once on home soil in 2004), but usually makes it to the quarterfinals at least. They are not a spectacular team to watch, but they are well organized in the defence and have good fighting spirit, and in generally play "smarter" than many of the more spectacular teams in Africa.
  4. Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooolllllllllllllllllll So deserved!
  5. He should be careful. Otherwise the Iranian regime might see him as the enemy of god!
  6. Yeah, giving the spot to a team who lost against Wales would definitely improve the tournament... The playoff system this time was weird, but that's how it is. There are always "better" team, who don't qualify, and "worse" team who does. It's one of the charms with such a tournament.
  7. You always need luck in the playoffs, but wouldn't call Wales a horrid team. Their among the weaker teams, but played a good half against USA, so still much better than some of the worst team at the tournament.
  8. Nah, it's offside. I was confused if the Iranian player knew it, or it was another protest thing.
