  1. As a question One of the teams that I must use is the Vancouver U23 team that plays in League1 BC, as this is the function of Vancouver 2, I simply extinct this team, and keep them in the U23s. This functionality is broken in FM24, and I have to keep the team alive What should I do with this team? A: Let them stay as is in the U23 system as a simple outlier, as Vancouvers 2nd U23 team B: Give the other MLS teams "U23" teams, and let their 2 teams stay in the MLS system while their U23 team takes the new role as the Canadian U23 team C: Give the other MLS Teams these "U23" Teams, but let their MLS2 teams play in the Canadian System (As of right now the MLS 2 teams are broken, and don't sign players like a normal team would, which out be out of place if they played in Canada) D: Keep the MLS2 teams as the U23s, turn this broken U23 team into a senior affiliate team that plays in the Canadian System with their own additional U23s and U20s E: Balls to the Wall, one of the above, but in addition all U23s and U20s play in the Senior Pyramid, creating like 20 levels or whatever where the MLS academy teams play against like Surrey United, as true to real life
  2. Ive tried messing around with the new "Number of Years of Coefficients used to rank teams" option, but it doesnt seem to work, so I dont think we can even really recreate the league system
  3. DarthAnimal Canadian League Pyramid 23.24.1.fmfThis file has a little bit more work done and is the "Release candidate" if it loads/validates So if it doesnt work for any of you, let me know
  4. Its unfortunately not very consistent, my leagues are fine even when I download the file from here (that seemed to break my cache with the last version). We'll have to wait to see what other people report I guess What a launch lol
  5. This is going to sound silly, but do you have those leagues "View Only"
  6. Let me know if this file works A, and B, if all the leagues validate Animal Canada Test Ext 1.fmf
  7. Right now its the only league I verified But as long as it loads and doesn't crash im fine with that I have to manually validate each league so ill do tbat tonight
  8. Nevermind I found the fix I had 2 non extinct teams made extinct, which the editor doesnt let you do this year Ill run it till 2040 but in the meantime I need someone to load this Animal Canada Test Ext.fmf
  9. Theres an issue caused by Databases that have been imported from FM23, which I mentioned in the other thread We will probably need to stick to FM23 for a couple of months
  10. Whats crazy is I literally had it verify and run until 2040, and then as soon as I downloaded the version on stream, it started crashing
  11. FM24 is definitly the buggiest release in the franchise for the Editor There are people reporting that FM23 files just dont work in general, or that if you install your FM onto a drive other than C itll break, and ive of course been unlucky enough to do both. So if its not working, unfortunately I think we just have to live with FM23 for a couple of months
  12. The Canadian Championship has been expanded, and the winner still qualifies as normal
  13. Have you ever worked in QA? QA are given things to look at, and then report bugs The Dev team managers then decide what bugs get fixed, and to what priority they get fixed If this bug wasnt found, it was because the QAs weren't given the task to look at the editor, considering its not very hard to find, because the management team didn't prioritize the editor If the bug was found, its on the Developers to actually correct the broken code, QA cant do a thing at that point, and management just didn't care enough to task someone with fixing it
  14. Looks like we cant add nations to European competitions anymore, and I have no idea how to fix it without recreating the entire system Guess Spain gets what they want and annex Gibraltar
  15. The QAs only look at what they're told to look at. Don't blame them for not being assigned to the Editor by their Management
  16. Yes, just pre-emptively posting the FM24 thread for when the forum gets added and the post gets moved
  17. A completely reasonable future for Canadian Soccer, this file allows you to compete as any team in Canada as if Canada was England, allowing little Surrey United to fight a battle against Vancouver at what is now Christine Sinclair Place for the chance to represent Canada in CONCACAF. 24.4.3 -> https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3325257563 You can also download the file directly from this post, however you must log in Check out my discord if you would like https://discord.gg/6dBFcPzRNa A Full List of Changes Team List/League List Here - (click) Structure There are 12 levels of Soccer in this database The first 2 leagues feature 16 teams. Both play for the Matheson Cup, while level 2 plays for the Wilkinson Cup Level 3 features 32 teams across 2 leagues, and play for the Schmidt Cup Level 4 features 32 teams spread across 2 leagues, and play for the Fleming Cup as well as compete against level 3 in the Leblanc Cup. Combined, all 4 of these levels play for the Sinclair cup Levels 5, 6, and 7 all compete in the LeagueX system, with 6 leagues of 12 teams for each level, all competing for the Grosso Cup Levels 8, 9, and 10 all compete in the DivisionX system, with 12 leagues of 8 (or so) teams for each level, all competing for the Rose Cup And then Finally, USports, matching their real world structure, but in 3 leagues instead of 4, complete with a post season Memorial Cup style league, featuring both the League Winners, and the Cup winners, for a 6 team single round robin format. But that's not all, Theres also the USports junior division, where teams compete for promotion The best of these leagues play for the 3 League cups, to determine who gets a bye to the quarterfinals of the Canadian Championship, alongside the winner of the Sinclair cup Each of the senior teams has a U23 team, and a U20 team, which feature in Regional Youth Leagues, which feature relaxed rules, and two Challenge Cups to compete against USports and their U18 teams Usports gets U18 teams which play in an HSports (Highschool analogue) league All leagues mandate a certain number of Canadians, a few U21 players, and a U18 player in your match squad 5 subs from 12 for all competitions, some exceptions may be 6 subs, or max of 3 stoppages. the Top 4 levels all get 15 total subs as they also get to carry 3 U21 players on the bench Each league comes with a number of awards, such as Canadian Team of the Year Added Teams Every team from the following leagues features in the database, up January 2024: Canadian Soccer League, League1 BC, Pacific Coast Soccer League, Vancouver Island Soccer League, Vancouver Metro Soccer League, Fraser Valley Soccer League, League1 Alberta, Alberta Major Soccer League, Saskatchewan Premier Soccer League, Manitoba Major Soccer League, Ontario Soccer League, League1 Ontario, League2 Ontario (etc), Ligue1 Quebec, Ligue de Soccer Elite Quebec, Nova Scotia Soccer League, New Brunswick Premier Senior Soccer League, and Newfoundland and Labrador Challenge Cup, USports, and Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Expanding joint teams out, to represent the future where these teams can compete without merging. A joint team will have two parent teams, with the parent teams being whatever the original organizations are Future Proofing by including future expansion teams like Saskatoon, and Windsor And just for fun, a minimal amount of fantasy, like a Bundesliga expansion, and my College, BCIT, and Ayr United Sudbury, so Quill18 can have his fun This brings the total number of Playable teams to 730 Staff Most teams feature their real world head coach when one was able to be documented And of course, some female staff from the various Womens league such as Bev Priestmen, who takes over the Canadian U23 national team, hoping to bring home another Gold Medal at the Olympics, or Karina LeBlanc who manages the Portland Timbers 2nd team, an analogue for the Portland Thorns, and Stephanie Labbe who manages Vancouver 2, for the same reason. Give me that NWSL license, Sports interactive Features Every team plays in a stadium, all 730 Some teams have their stadiums updated, or changed. Teams like FC Edmonton are future proofed to play into the larger, right next door, Commonwealth Stadium Every stadium in the game has a team. Olympic stadium houses an amateur team. Can you get them to fill the stadium? Every team has a proper Jersey, or if one could not be found, one assigned. You wont be encountering any default generic red and blue teams as you make your way up the pyramid Some teams such as the Church based teams, or the ethnic Community based teams, have club visions to match their status. Churches are asked to develop through their own youth system. Academy teams are asked the same, but also to sign young players, USports teams are asked to recruit out of high school, and teams such as ICSF Columbus are asked to sign Italians. Some fun visions exist too. Can you guess what you might need to do as Goals City FC? The 2020 Gold Medal Winning Canadian Women's National Team have been added as icons and legends to the applicable teams. Can the Whitecaps live up to expectations and move into Christine Sinclair stadium? Be on the look out for some interesting challenges. The worst team in the game is Unathletico Vancouver. Can you lead Glory FC to its fabled glory? Will Benchwarmers FC be able to win the league with walk on tryouts only? --- As always, please leave your feedback below. If you see a mistake with your team, please don't hesitate to let me know. If you are a player or coach and consent to being added to your team, let me know and ill get you added with the accurate details And while you're here, fill out this poll as it will help me decide what to do with future updates https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1O-36-x6huj1D0qsqt9VdfoOsJNKNGUGzDwsXEBy1wO8 Older versions Just in Case 23.24.0 -> https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3076339755 23.24.1->https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3083594002 23.24.3->https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3129061403 23.24.4-> https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3150794516 24.3.0 -> https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3170694333 24.4.1 -> https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3241808979 24.4.2 -> https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3295405906 FM23 Release - DarthAnimal Canadian League Pyramid 24.4.3.fmf
  18. Theres alot of issues with this version of the game, a lot of people are having problems loading any sort of editor data. It seems entirely random and based on the computer that you have, so we are truely confused. It works on my machine, for example, but there are a small number of other people also reporting crashes All I can really recommend is try launching it without any other data files, and then try launching it without this data file, but with some random data file, and see if its this one causing the issue or if its FM
  19. They released a patch https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3076339755
  20. So I have no idea how the different start modes like "Your world" interacts with custom databases, but under "Original" the FM24 Database runs until at least 2040 We cant seem to upload FM24 workshop items, but ill put it here manually so those of you who want to play it can DarthAnimal Canadian League Pyramid 23.24.0.fmf
  21. Heres what ive sort of come up with With San Diego joining the MLS there are 18 MX teams, 27 American MLS teams In real life the 2 winners of MLS and Liga MX get byes, and there are only 15 groups with 47 total, 45 plus those 2. But 48 with San Diego means 16 groups of 3 Leaving 3 Slots for 3 Canadian Teams. Under the real world format, its the 3 MLS teams, but under this format it could be the 3 winners of the 3 regional cups. I wont be editing the US or Mexico ever as long as I live, so I am at the Mercy of Sports Interactive. But in theory, there are 24 USL1, and 15 LEMX, plus the remaining 16 CPL teams makes 55, which is impossible to divide well into a power of 2. However, I can take the top 4 teams of each of the Mexico Liga 1 groups, for 8, making 63. Then I guess ill take the winner of CPL 2? Or the Matheson Cup? Leaving 16 groups of 4, split 24 USA, 23 MX, and 17 CA Which leaves the absolute mess that is now the Leagues 3 Cup, but I'll think about that for FM 25 lol

  23. I dont think i've ever seen a play that good come through my intakes, let alone a Canadian. Also I tried look at editing the Leagues cup and it appears any changes to it breaks it outright. Hopefully FM24 has better luck
  24. My only issue with editing the North American leagues is I fear breaking them completely, because I know it acts as a qualifier. I would love to add a Leagues2 cup, with teams from the CPL, Expansion, and USL compete, with the top 8 teams being promoted to Leagues1
