  1. Feb 2025 We've managed to keep our unbeaten run going! I was happy that Rees got his first goal, but he's not been putting them away as I'd hope he might. This run we're on has earned me my first Manager of the Month award. Transfer In I might be panic-buying strikers. Finances
  2. Jan 2025 Well we have definitely improved on the end of last year. The two draws were very different stories. We almost hung on to a first league victory against Colwyn Bay only to concede a 91st minute equaliser with their first shot on target of the game. & then we performed terribly, losing 3-0 to Porthmadog until the 81st minute when we got what I thought was a consolation goal, until a late, late double means we are unbeaten so far in 2025. Creamer had a good month in centre midfield. Transfer In I've loaned in another striker to try to get the goals flowing. Finances
  3. Dec 2024 The less said about our end to the year the better. Time to review the squad and gear up for the transfer window.
  4. Nov 2024 Our best-rated player has been out since the first game of the season and in his 3rd appearance since returning he's been injured again. Fixtures We managed to stop the drought of points, but not by any big margins. We're finely balanced in mid-table. We're still in one of the 3 cups. At the end of the month we played Colwyn Bay who we had knocked out of both of the other cups this season already. (They have our number in the league though.) ..they must hate us but we are through to the semi-final! Where we'll play Ruthin- for a huge chance at our first final. Finances
  5. Oct 2024 Transfer In We've added a bit more strength to our midfield after some of the summer signings didn't live up to the hype. Fixtures We have hit a horrid run of form. Haverfordwest comfortably & expectedly dumped us out of both cup matches, but the league games were terrible. We're still missing a striker who can consistently score goals and only AMR McCarrick found the net for us in 5 games this month. The only positive was a nil-nil draw which sees us through to the quarter finals of the L2 Cup.
  6. Sep 2024 Transfers In We brought in a young, versatile defender, a loanee to be backup to both wing back positions and managed to nab another decent young goalkeeper. Fixtures We've been continuing our good form with only one defeat in each month so far. We played Colwyn Bay 3 times and won 6-5 overall. The best game was in the league; an epic that we lost to a 91st minute winner. We're sitting pretty in 4th, but the league is tight still as it's early on. We're still in all 3 cups, but we've been handed a tough double draw against Haverfordwest who've been flying high in the Welsh Prem (current season & league history below). Finances We seem a lot more stable this season- probably from the prize money we've made from staying in the cups!
  7. Aug 2024 Transfer In Farrington is a solid DM or DC who comes in on a cheap app fee. Fixtures A stronger start than last year, great to get through the cups too! Record Finances
  8. Jul 2024 Transfers In We managed to sneak a few more transfers in before the start of the season. Pre-Season Odds We're expected to do a lot better than last season. Fixtures We had a decent pre-season and won our first competitive game, but it was like watching a completely different team against Denbigh. A big blow was losing one of last season's stars to a bad injury in our first game. Finances We need to get some prize money of some sort this season to balance out the decline of our financial position.
  9. Transfers In It's been a busy few months in the transfer window.
  10. I've been given a new contract at £200pw (up from £150) and as part of the self-imposed rules on this save, this will now allow me to offer to players up to £190 in appearance fees (rather than £140).
  11. Apr 2024 We finished with a mixed set of results at the end of a mixed season. We didn't score in our final two games, but we went toe-to-toe with the top two teams in the division which bodes well for next season. There's a lot of positives from the end to this season, with Hesp & Smith's additions being the real turning point for us. We have a bunch of retiree's, all of our players are on non-contract and could leave at any point and I have been given double the wage budget to improve the squad with so it could be a completely new look team after the summer. Finances
  12. Mar 2024 Transfers In I've kept up with the signings to make sure we have a bit stronger depth for now & next season. Fixtures A bad loss against Llanidloes turned out to just be a hiccup as we get up to mid-table and put distance between where we were halfway through the season. Finances
  13. Youth Intake We have a pretty decent defender, but beyond Skyrme there's not much else to get excited about.
  14. Feb 2024 Transfer Out We saw the last of Matras as he was not granted a work permit. He never quite lived up to his ability on the left wing. Transfer In Released by Holywell, we've picked up a decent young, backup goalkeeper. I've completed my first coaching badge. Fixtures We've not lost in 5 now and after the terrible run we were on I am very pleased to see a 5 point gap between us and the drop as we approach the end of the season. Finances
  15. Jan 2024 I switched up our tactics after the 4-1 loss and we've got back-to-back wins that help us out of the relegation zone. The board are happier too and aren't making up excuses to get rid of me anymore.
  16. The board are really not happy with me; they're unhappy with our backup goalies recent performances. But he hasn't played for the first team once!?
  17. Dec 2023 Transfers In I've signed an athlete who can't play football, although he somehow had 5 goals in 6 games in our division. I'm going to see if he can be utilised as a super sub at the end of a game where he can out-run tired legs. Lanceley is another attacker, but I'm hoping to use him more on the right wing. \ This is the current state of the squad with all the ins & outs this season. Fixtures Things have not improved much and we're in trouble, way below expectations. Finances
  18. Nov 2023 Transfer In None of our strikers have hit a good vein of form, so I've loaned in Dugan to hopefully change that! Fixtures We are on a pretty bad run - it seems we've completely forgotten how to defend. Whilst this is hugely encouraging, losing one of our starting XI during this poor run wasn't helpful. Finances
  19. Awesome! I love the real life connections that you hear about in the lower tiers
  20. Oct 2023 Transfers In With our backup 'keeper leaving on a free to Hawarden and our first choice kicking up a fuss about my team talks, I panic-bought two new backup's who I hope never have to feature in the first team. I've also brought in a veteran who can play in a number of positions (but definitely not centre-back). Fixtures Our unbeaten run is over after a drab loss, followed by an epic which we lost in the 89th minute. Back to winning ways against Buckley and we find ourselves in a tight space in 6th with a point gap to either 2nd or 12th. Finances
  21. Sep 2023 Transfers Out We've had an outflux this month, but Harry Lee is the only starter we've lost. The rest were only backup players, but our squad is getting quite thin. & we're also going to lose our best-rated player Matras. He only joined a few months ago and will be with us until February, but I'm not too down-hearted because he's been in pretty poor form so far. Transfer In Fixtures We're still unbeaten in the league, but we've crashed out of all 3 cup competitions already. Awards Finances
  22. Aug 2023 Transfer In Another solid midfielder comes in to strengthen our Box-to-Box & Carrilero positions. Transfer Out We've lost our starting right-back to Mumbles. Fixtures Unless you count the disappointing penalty loss to Ammanford, we're unbeaten and I'm happy with how we're playing, especially against Premier league outfit Bala. Awards
  23. Jul 2023 A mixed set of results in pre-season. Our first competitive fixture saw us pegged back to a draw in the 95th minute after a scrappy, even game.
