  1. Jan 2023 We are still keeping up this unbeaten run, including an epic against Benfleet who have only lost 1 game all season. We were so so close to taking all 3 points.
  2. Dec 2022 We've continue to stay unbeaten and we've won some games in style! The new signings have really sured up the spine of the squad and everyone is starting to gel as we move into the promotion spots just after the halfway point in the season. Youth Intake Preview
  3. After conceding 22 goals in his first 9 games, Foxall finally managed to keep a clean sheet in a statement win against another promotion hopeful!
  4. Nov 2022 It's been a busy month! We lost our DM Grace to a nasty injury. Loan terminated Transfers In Mace has already played for 2 clubs this season so is ineligible until next campaign, but both he & loanee Sackey-Mensah improve our strength at wing backs. We also managed to sign another very decent midfielder in Stewart.
  5. Thanks! Foxall has had a horrendous start with a run of absolute howlers. I don't know how many more I can watch without replacing him with Francis who is way much worse on paper.
  6. Oct 2022 We got back to winning ways in style. New signing Afolabi grabbed two goals from midfield. Now we need to show we can keep this up to push back towards the promotion spots.
  7. Okay so our new goalkeeper who I thought was going to be a star player has conceded 12 goals in his first 3 games including some absolute howlers. Things aren't going as smoothly as I'd hoped. Transfers In I looked again to the transfer market to try to improve the squad and some new players have shown interest in joining. I'm very happy to sign both Afolabi & Grace who will feature in midfield, an area we were very weak and lacked depth. We also managed to take over Wisner's loan as he wasn't happy with his playing time at Blackstones. With all the new signings, this is how we are lining up when everyone is available. If the keeper doesn't improve quickly, he will be dropped!
  8. A rough start for our new signing in goal as we crash out of the cup.
  9. Transfers In A huge signing for us is a new first choice keeper who is young and could be key for the next few seasons! We've also added another loanee from Cockfosters who looks like he could be a solid squad player.
  10. Sep 2022 We lost against the two unbeaten sides in our division which I'm not too disappointed about. I was way more upset at throwing away a 2-0 lead at Barkingside. One positive in Melford-Rowe finding some good scoring form early on in the season. Next up is a tough away game in the cup to another high-flying 10th tier team. Axminster are 2nd in their league, only losing 1 so far this season.
  11. Aug 2022 We continued our good start against Cannon Wood in an even game where we were the ones who took our chances. We were absent the whole game against Newbury and were lucky that they didn't play very well either otherwise it could've been a much more damning scoreline. Then Hartigan continued this standout performances with a brace to help us beat Sporting Bengal after they got a first half red card. We should've putthis game beyond doubt after an early Khouri goal. The last few moments were pretty tense but we survived to make it through to the next round.
  12. Updated Odds We've improved our odds 5x with the new signings! Our first game is against Park View. Game 1 35 people saw us dominate our opening game! The fans seem to have something against Fjord. After being distraught that we signed him on loan (for absolutely free), they made their feelings known at how bad they thought he performed (6.7 in the 20mins he was on the field).
  13. Staff Addition We've found another Enfield-born staff member! He was willing to be a coach and a scout, which is great as we had neither.
  14. Captain & Vice Transfer Overview Squad We're only missing a backup goalkeeper, but this is our first XI and backups as we head towards the first competitive fixture. The star ratings show just how much better my AssMan thinks our new signings are in comparison to the rest of the squad. Friendlies Our GK has been busy. We are definitely weakest in defence so the aim of the game is going to be to outscore our opponents.
  15. Loans In A couple more loans means we now have 22 players! A whole backup XI. &
  16. Loans In We've found a brilliant first choice right back. (I'm already saying "brilliant" at a player with no technical attribute above a 7) & a decent centre-mid that the fans hate for some reason. I'm very happy to have another option at DM!
  17. Staff Addition We've signed an Assistant Manager from Enfield. He'll provide an invaluable 2nd opinion & go to all of the media/press conferences. Thanks Chris!
  18. Transfer In He can head, he can pass and he's really fast! Our best player is now a striker with 3 finishing.
  19. Intra-Squad Friendly 9 goals and a red card!? I knew it was going to be a chaotic game when I told the squad my preferred starting XI and they ignored me & chose which team to be on between themselves (the game wasn't letting me choose).
  20. Meet the Squad We've got an intra-squad friendly so let's look at the players in a bit more depth. (As I've sacked all my non-Enfield-born staff, I've lost their star ratings) GK He's not big, he's not brave, he'll probably keel over if he has to run further than the edge of his box.. BUT he is a goalkeeper so Francis is our number 1. DR Tackling & crossing are his "strengths". He can run for a while, just not very fast but he is aggressive, brave & determined. DL A left-back with great technique! DC's These guys can jump and are strong. Odhiambo is the one more comfortable with the ball and the less Lansbury has the ball at his feet, the better. DM Howes will be a rock in midfield! He can't move much but he'll win a tackle if you come near him. MC's Okay these guys might actually play some football. Kennedy has a bit of everything and will be our BBM, whilst winger-come-centre-mid Khouri should help him pull the strings. AMR Inside forward Morris has good pace & acceleration for this level, combining that with good balance, natural fitness and a bit of dribbling & agility I'm hoping he can prove a constant threat down the flank. AML Another inside forward, Hartigan could cause a lot of trouble with his jumping reach. ST Thorn will lead the line as our fast pressing forward. He has lots of flair and is very good technically at all so you really have no idea what he's going to do next. Subs If you don't get into this first team, you're pretty bad and this lot are terrible. Despite all the snarky remarks, I'm sure I'll fall in love with some of these players very soon!
  21. Welcome to Enfield Borough FC Squad We have players who can play in every position and there are more than 11 of them. I'm seeing that as a win. Staff We can treat injuries but beyond that it's pretty much up to the players to organise themselves. ..until I figure out what I'm doing.. Expectations
  22. Internationals Jake Livermore and his 7 England caps make him the most famous player to come from the region. But Roy Chipolina has played a whopping 60 times for Gibraltar, also getting a couple of goals and Kilkenny has turned out 15 times for the Ozzy's. All 3 players are at the end of their career and, of the Enfieldians, only Daniel Phillips looks like he could potentially get a healthy number of caps for his country.
  23. Best XI These guys are currently the best the region has produced. We aspire to reach their great heights! GK Dunfermline Athletic DEF Sutton United, Enfield Town, PSIS Semarang (Singapore) & Unattached MID West Brom, Blackpool & Luton FWD Wimbledon, Bromley & another Enfield Towner
  24. I've adjusted the skin attribute colours to account for tier 10 level footballers: Away from managing Enfield Borough directly, I'll also be keeping an eye on each of these season-by-season for players born in Enfield: Best XI International Caps Player Transfers Staff Movements Players from Youth Intakes Before I kick off, I can check the top 2 on this list.
  25. Starting from the 10th tier in England, my aim is to be as successful as possible by using only players born in Enfield. Why Enfield? 1. It's my hometown. 2. There are 4 eligible clubs to help us on the way! 3. It's one of the biggest City's without a big team in the country. Reasons for v2: - Avoidable financial mistakes were made early on in the save. - Too many loaded leagues started to slow the game down massively. - Heightened awareness of the importance of clinging on to players. - I was playing the game on Instant Result rather than enjoying the matches! Enfield There are four teams in the borough and I will be starting at Enfield Borough down in tier 10. Tier 7 ENFIELD TOWN Tier 9 ENFIELD FC & COCKFOSTERS Tier 10 ENFIELD BOROUGH
