  1. Easy easy, calmate amigo. No need to panic. Its simple, u train 2 times a week like every sunday club does because u dont want players that are too prepared for their matches, they will just run over their opposition, wheres the fun in that. So, two trainings per week, after work, never before work, just basically make them run, they gotta run, and then from time to time u do some team bonding in beers and kebabs, u must keep the spirits high, if u win u ask for a chairman to pay for it, and then, occasionally, u do tactics, not too much, u dont want your players to consider u for a too serious knobhead, just enough so DMF knows when the FB stays upfront his job is to fill up the blank if needed, thats it. Advice for the end, dont overthink it, football is a simple game, especially in the sunday league
  2. If u do good job i will think about hiring u as my assistant in mighty AFC Wimbledon in few years
  3. Lets goooooo. Have u met the groundskeeper, u should praise him for doing an amazing job with that pitch, grass looks amazing.
  4. Aaand done, 10.000+ seats for the AFC Wimbledon fans is ready, looking forwards seeing the seats packed this season.
  5. New season draws near and the pre season camp wich we spent in Belgium went well and most of my players are ready for new challenges. I have three injured players and two of them are midfielders, i will be ok until they recover, better now then at the end of the season. Managed to snatch a couple of signing for almost free, another striker i managed to sign for free and a CD that was payed 3.000EUR which when u look at his attributes is really a bargain signing. And this is another player that we are looking to sign and im currently trying to deal a price that will be good for both of the teams, once when that is done the contract will not be a problem. Finances are much better this season.
  6. This seasons finish is the highest league position in the history of the club ever!
  7. Another great season has come to a closer and it was a great one. Although all have expected us to fight to avoid relegation we have stayed up comfortably, not only that, there was a moment when we were in the play off spot. Lets take a look at the season review. Big jump in finances which was expected with the promotion and a huge raise in earnings from the competitions, we should thank the team for an awesome run in the FA Cup for that. And one more time, for the third season in a row Josh Davison has been voted as the best player of the season by the fans while Zach Robinson is again our best striker. And some good news for the next season, the board has decided to splash cash on the expansion of the stadium, the stadium will be expanded by 1.500 seats which is pretty damn awesome if u ask me.
  8. So yeah, my captain definitely decided to retire, and he didnt even wanted to wait until the end of season, he retired with immediate effect! I asked him to reconsider his retirement... But in a matter of hours, this is the response i got. Best regards my cap and best of luck in the afterlife, you will be missed.
  9. One more time mighty AFC Wimbledon show the spirit, one more time AFC Wimbledon show that it can not be shooked with just one defeat, one more time mighty AFC Wimbledon beats a tittle contender and a top ranked team in the league. Huddersfield has fallen! Gorgeous performance from young Derik Fisher who provided a goal and an assist, but cant forget once more my GK who is becoming one of the best players in the team, 4 saves in this match were enough for a shutout. While my 20 year old DMF/CMF deserved a MOTM award with his two beautiful assists. Alfie Bendle, player who is with us from the beggining of his career.
  10. And yes, he is considering retirement... unbelivable.... i will do my best to hire him as my staff if he is willing for something like that, hate seeing players career finishing like this.
  11. What a ****ing setback... my captain and one of my main players is out for seven month as he sustained a broken leg. At his age, this might be the end of his career. im gutted
  12. Sooooooo, yeah, i dont know what to tell ya, humbled and humiliated. I hope i will meet them again in the future years because this defeat is going to leave a mark. See ya some other time.
  13. The day has come, the most important and biggest match of my managerial career for sure against the toughest opponent i have met so far. It is FA Cup, round of 16 and PL established side Wolverhampton Wonderers. It is expected that the stadium is going to be packed but it is clear who is the favorite, 7th placed team in the PL has so far beaten Barrow and Swindon while my mighty AFC Wimbledon side has passed four obstacles so far. We wont look at this match like we have already out of the competition, this is not going to be our good bye from the FA Cup, we shall not be defeated, with a bit of luck, this match is ours.
  14. Brother, with all due respect, **** them all, look at the facilities and stadium at Staveley. I would go for them. The miners will appreciate hard working man which spent his youth on the muddy fields of the sunday leagues, go for it. Lets go Staveley!
  15. Is there a way i could stop unknown greyed out regens showing up? The player that are unexisting and without the contract that show up in the squad selection if u are short on players at certain position.
  16. How we handled ourselves against the best team in the league. So at the time we played them, Swindon was at the top spot of the league and for a newly promoted team we were coping with them quite well. We took the lead from the start with my best striker finishing a great pass over the defense from DMF. There were waves in terms of control but nothing too dramatic, my GK made some beautiful saves and he is probably the most improved player since i brought him in, he had 4 saves in the match but the only shot he conceded was the one that came from outside of the penalty area, somewhat bad reaction but i saw it coming, Swindon deserved a reward. Jordan Rossiter with a MOTM performance for my team, besides another assist he made some important tackles and won possession at crucial times. League position of our two teams compared.
  17. Jesus Christ, im gonna find websites or socials of those clubs IRL and start applying myself edit: whats the most cheeky name among those clubs
  18. Of course man, start knocking doors and most importantly dont ask for money, be happy with kebabs and beer after matches. You ever thought of being a player/manager? Its been so long since i heard for one.
  19. No man, ref? U crazy, u want to get hair dryer treatment from some sunday league dudes whenever u reach for your pocket, screw that. Listen, the matter fact if u need some help in club management i apply to be your assman free of charge. Im sure whatever club hires u they will be lucky to have u, better to be a manager and yell at the ref then to be yelled at. Im sure the missus will understand everything one day when u bring home the trophy of the Midland League.
  20. aw man, it must be tough hanging ur boots when ur at your peek, it was such a pleasure watching u on the muddy pitches of sunday league clubs, i will miss those times. Well, chin up, better times ahead of u.
