Other rumours has Ebere Eze having a £48m release clause, and because teams in the english prem and in saudi interested he refuses to sign a new deal, can we hold on to him? Tyrick Mitchell has a £69m release clause and also has teams in saudi looking at him, im happy with his release clause, but will he stay? NOW ON TO BUSINESS THAT HAS BEEN CONFIRMED. BACKROOM STAFF The club mutually terminated alot of deadwood and have improved the staff throughout, still not the best in the league but we are now in the top 10 in the country for most departments TRANSFER BUDGET - A NICE £49M TO SPEND. 14. STARTING THE SAF CHALLENGE ON FM24 Involves you simulating the game on FM24 until the 6th November and take over the club that sit in 19th in the Premier League on that day, pretty much what Sir Alex did did back in 1986 when he took over the reins as Manchester United manager. RULES TO THE SAF CHALLENGE The rules of this challenge is below. You need to… Stay at one club – The Scotsman managed Man United for 26 years. Aim to bring Youth Players through – “Class of 92“. Persuade long term players to become part of your backroom staff. Goals of the Challenge… Win a Domestic Cup/Trophy within 4 seasons – Ferguson won his first Cup vs Crystal Palace in 89/90. Win a League title within 7 seasons – Ferguson won his first title in 92/93. Win a League and Cup double within 8 seasons – Ferguson won his first double with United in 93/94. Win a League, Cup and the Champions League within 13 seasons – Ferguson won the infamous treble in 98/99. Total number of trophies that the Scotsman won during his managerial career at Old Trafford… Premier League (13) FA Cup (5) League Cup (4) Community Shield (10) UEFA Champions League (2) UEFA Europa League (1) (Replaces the Cup Winners Cup) UEFA Super Cup (1) FIFA Club World Cup (2) (One Replaces Intercontinental Cup) No buying or selling from/to your direct rival No more than 11 signings per season, of which only 8 can play in the first team that season Spending restrictions. I will have no spending restriction on due to the transfer market is in a different world than the mid 80s through to the 2013 during Sir Alex’s time. Promote as many youth players as you can and have a minimum of 1 player promoted from the youth academy in every single matchday squad. (The likes of Beckham, Giggs, Scholes & others were all part of the youth system and went on to become legends at the club) Promote at least 1 new player to the youth academy to the senior team every single season. I would say the last two are really joint in some ways and I would have to see what club I get first to see if it’s achievable, well definitely the one with a youth player in the matchday squad. On 6th November 2023… The Premier League table looks like this… Delano Chambers takesover Crystal Palace on a two and a half year deal Three formations and systems I'll be sticking too are 4-4-2 (4-2-4) 4-2-3-1 4-3-3 (4-1-2-2-1) The idea will be to buy players that can fit in to all three systems and cover various positions. individual training on under 21's and under 18's will be added to help their transition into the 1st team. as with the rules we must have atleast 1 home grwon player in the match day squad each game andthen promote one each yea into the first team squad. Luckily for us we have two homegrown players in the first team squad already TYRICK MITCHELL NATHANIEL CLYNE Crystal Palace produce alot of young gem players, which we will need to help us save money in the future to help us re-build this team. Ones to watch.... U 21'S U 17'S CLUB VISION / EXPECTATIONS First season try and survive!
  15. Pre-season is complete Great wins and now for the real deal fixtures also one more signing in
  16. Welcome to my save - Ripon City A.F.C Starting in the Vanarama North we will take the UK's 5th smallest city from non-league to the champions league. With the use of the editor this small city will start as a semi-pro club dreaming of success. but with a twist! But first abit about Ripon City A.F.C Ripon City AFC established in 1898. Early Years Early signs indicate the club played most of its pre-war matches on the Cricket Club ground. After winning the 1907/08 Harrogate and District League, In 1918 Ripon City held its first meeting since before the war and, when play resumed, they could be seen playing on the present site at Mallorie Park. At this time only two teams existed in the city – Ripon United and Ripon City. In 1919 the two clubs amalgamated and became Ripon City A.F.C. One of the first projects undertaken after this amalgamation was the erection of the stand. This was built in 1920 and is still in use today. It would seem the problems we encounter today are not new and were inherited from our predecessors. A report in August 1935 stated the club was in danger of closing if members did not show more commitment and gate receipts were increased. With this in mind, after twelve years service, the club left the York & District League and entered the Allertonshire League in an effort to boost gate revenue. Fortunes did indeed seem to change and the 1940’s saw the club to be much improved. 1950’s and onwards In the early 1950’s Ripon were a formidable force and in his autobiography Harold ‘Dickie’ Bird recalls his father playing for Barnsley F.C and beating Ripon City 1-0 in the Yorkshire Trophy Final at Oakwell. 1958 saw Ripon City win both the Ripon League Senior and Junior Charity cups as well as reaching the final of both the Whitworth and Hulme cup. In May 1962 a decision was taken to purchase the present ground at Mallorie Park. In August 1977 Harrogate District Council approved plans for a new clubhouse and changing rooms both of which remain in use today. However in 1981, the rapid growth of the club saw plans for a new shower block approved and these still remain one of the finest in our leagues. At this time Ripon had an abundance of local football teams. One such team was Ripon Y.M.C.A. who went on to become known as Ripon Yorkshire Magnets AFC. This team was to become one of the most successful local teams of that time and in July 1990 an amalgamation took place between Ripon City and Yorkshire Magnets. With the onset of the 1991/92 season the name of the club changed to Ripon City Magnets a name that took us into our centenary year and beyond. A NEW ERA AND A PLAN So heres the twist, Ripon City have appointed a legendary ex-footballer with a plan to develop English and his original home nation players. who is this man? The one and only John Barnes! After a illustrious career with Liverpool winning major honours, John Barnes managerial career has not been as rosey, stints at Celtic, Jamiaca National team and Tranmere deemed un-successful by the media, led John Barnes in to more media work. But with the option to build a club from the ground up in his own image and with links to un-earthed talents in Jamaica, it was an offer to good for John Barnes to turn down. With a little tweak of the editor we have made work permits for jamaican players obsolete and can sign freely for UK teams. we have added low level staff and players from the free market at the level of the tier 6. I will not be using the player search screen, but relying on the scouts and in furure a DOF to un-earth new players, attribute masking is also on. MEET THE STAFF Manager - John Barnes Assistant Manager - Ricardo Gardner Head of youth development - luther Blissett Facilities Board and Supporters visions Affiliated Club SQUAD Key Players If you are still here at this point thank you for reading all this, i will continue to blog on here with updates throughout the season.
  17. Going with Italy this time and with Piacenza, a club that once graced Serie A.. Starting off with a squad of 57 players so a slight advantage there. Good / average facilities and only the challenge to stay in the league, surely no sacking this time.
  18. woop. we are back. thinking another crack at england or italy this year
  19. has anyone every completed this challenge in mexico yet?
  20. SEASON 2 - 2024/25 - SURVIVAL Another season of successfull survival, and an improvement on last season. started off brilliantly, i actually belived it could be a year of promotion, but a drop off inthe second half of the season put an end to that. U18'S won the league too! wins draws losses GF GA Points POS SEASON 24/25 18 11 17 69 61 65 14TH SEASON 23/24 15 11 20 65 72 56 16TH
