  1. Mid season update. We are 4th in Ligue 1 with 31 points from 17 games. The results have not been that bad in the league, we have been just about par for the course. We have been knocked out of the Champions League though, the performances were pitiful and this squad needs reshaping. Vitinha, Samuel Lino, Chancel Mbemba and Geoffrey Kondogbia have been key players.
  2. Players we have let go of are, 1. Isaak Toure to Espanyol for 1.3 million pounds. 2. Azzedine Ounahi on loan to Alaves.
  3. We have made some signings in the summer transfer window. Here are some of the signings. 1. Guilherme Arana from ATM for 8.75 million pounds. 2. Abakar Sylla from Club Brugge for 11.25 million pounds. 3. Bruno Henrique from FLA for 7 million pounds. 4. Jason Denayer on a free transfer. 5. Samuel Lino on loan from Atletico Madrid. 6. Folarin Balogun on loan from Arsenal. 7. Alexander Nubel from Bayern Munich for 1 million pounds.
  4. So our first club we are managing is Olympique Marseille. The goal is to win the Champions League. Either do that or get sacked. This is what the squad looks like.
  5. We all live in the world of a random person's FM save where he or she presses "Terminate Contract" in the editor whenever Jose Mourinho reaches the third season at any club. So in an alternate reality, I will do my best to replicate Mourinho's achievements on this save.
  6. The season has started, we have basically done a 2022-23 Nottingham Forest in real life and signed a lot of new players. We sold players like Edson Alvarez to Real Madrid and Stefan de Vrij to Newcastle. Angelino went to Manchester City and Calvin Bassey went to West Ham. Dusan Tadic went to Wolverhampton Wanderers too. Notable incomings include Fabio Miretti from Juventus, Conor Gallagher from Chelsea, Danilo from PSG, Adamo Nagalo from Club Brugge, Georginio Wijnaldum from AS Roma. There were some other players that came in like Sergi Roberto from Al Taawoun, Josh Dasilva from Brentford.
  7. Mid season December update We are second from bottom in the league with 12 points in 16 games, but we are in touching distance of safety, we seem to have discovered a winning formula after getting two back to back wins. I hope we can beat the drop this season and stay in the league. Here is the tactic we are using, a variation of the 4-3-3 formation, with only one central midfielder, two pure wingers on the left and right and three strikers.
  8. Real life update I have a meeting with a sporting director based in the UAE for potential new opportunities. Let's hope that it goes well. I am really excited as I have been trying to meet new people within football for the past two months and after two months there is a breakthrough.
  9. One of my tactical trends that I have used on my FM 2024 research save to make Dubai City FC into a very utilitarian team is that I have converted my traditional wingers into wingbacks. The team is expected to finish near the bottom in 15th place out of 17 teams. So as you can see, Lucas Patanelli has been used as a wing back in order to conserve his energy when in possession. I won a game on this save against Dibba Al-Hisn by using traditional wingers and Patanelli's magic proved to be the difference. However I felt I needed to make this tactical change in order to provide more stability and balance to our team.
  10. For a club like Dubai City FC to develop, on this save I have observed that finding young, hungry players from the Under 18's and Under 21's of established English teams is a great idea. This is a completely new environment for them to develop and will put them in a steady condition. I have loaned in two players from English clubs. Harvey Godsmark-Ford came in on loan from Leicester City and Jevon Mills came in on loan from Hull City.
  11. I now have a new job after being in charge of Celtic for 2 seasons. I am now the new manager of AFC Ajax. This is a step up in terms of jobs. We have a great chance of challenging for the Eredivisie. This is what the Ajax squad looks like.
  12. I won't do an exclusive based on who performed well specifically this season, because winning the treble in Scotland is truly a team effort and every single player who has made a contribution has done their part to make sure this absolutely brilliant achievement happened. I am really proud of the team.
  13. What happened in Europe (2024-25 season) Winners of each competition 1. UEFA Champions League: Real Madrid 2. UEFA Europa League: Tottenham Hotspur 3. UEFA Europa Conference League: Fiorentina 4. Premier League: Arsenal 5. La Liga: Real Madrid 6. Bundesliga: Bayern Munich 7. Serie A: AC Milan 8. Ligue 1: Paris Saint Germain 9. Portuguese League: Sporting CP 10. Eredivisie: Feyenoord 11. Austrian League: RB Salzburg 12. Swiss League: BSC Young Boys 13. Jupiler Pro League: RSC Anderlecht 14. Czech First Divsion: Slavia Prague
  14. This is how the team did in the 2024-25 season with Celtic. Kevin Schade and Daizen Maeda are our top goalscorers with 26 goals each.
  15. We won the domestic treble with Celtic. The Premier Sports Cup, The Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup. 2024-25 season treble winners.
  16. Since this is more of a work related save, the focus will be on player identification, tactics and player improvement. I will update results when I can, probably in the middle of the season and definitely at the end of the season. Now, the first player I have identified as a potential signing is Tafari Moore. Tafari Moore is a player who started off at Arsenal and was a promising youngster there, but he has fallen off and he probably needs a change of scenery. After stumbling around in the lower leagues in England, maybe Dubai is the place to go for him. I am not confirming that I am signing him for sure, however I am going to talk about this player as a potential signing because he is a player that is easily recognizable at least among Arsenal fans. However there is a local player called Maher Jassim who has experience in UAE football and is a guy who has been around the block. He has been recommended to me, I tried to sign him but we don't have enough in the wage budget yet. I have to sell players to create some room in the wage budget.
  17. So like I said, this is a research based save. I am currently based in Dubai and this is one of the emerging clubs in the UAE. I have personally contacted people in Dubai City FC, however the door remains shut when it comes to getting employed. No answers. (Btw, I am saying that this happened in real life.) So due to the fact that I am personally looking for an alternative career in real life apart from the entertainment industry, which is work in the football industry, this inevitably becomes a very appealing option in real life. Hopefully the research pays off and since Football Manager is one of the only ways to simulate what could potentially happen in real life, I am using it as a tool so that I will get to present this to the people working there when I am eventually going to get the foot in the door. This is what the Dubai City FC squad looks like. It has some good players, the squad needs a lot of work. The tactic I will be using is a 5-2-3 with defensive midfielders. It is because the squad is not yet good enough to dominate games and only time will tell how good it can potentially be.
  18. Hello everyone. This save is a little different. I am definitely continuing my other journeyman save. But this one is more research based as I am looking for employment within the football industry. I am currently based in Dubai. So the club I will use is Dubai City FC. It is a one club save. The goal is to get employed within football in real life and make sure that people within football notice the effort I am putting in to break into the industry.
  19. Earlier in the save Belgium won Euro 2024. Also, we have had so many transfer dealings that I decided to show it through the transfer history list rather than showing incomings and outgoings individually, the January transfer window just got over. We have had 3 major sales. Ricardo Esgaio went to Fulham for 14 million pounds. Liel Abada went to Leicester City for 29 million pounds. Jota went to Arsenal for 23 million pounds. The major signings we made are Carlos Vinicius from Flamengo, Leonardo Spinazzola from AS Roma, Carney Chukwuemeka and Cesare Casadei on loan from Chelsea and Jensen Weir on loan from Brighton because he had a great season at previous league champions Hibernian.
  20. Mid season December update. (2024-25 season) I am so happy to win my first trophy as Celtic manager. We have won the Premier Sports Cup by beating Hibernian in the final. Also we are top of the Scottish Premiership, just about. But I will take it. Our squad is really clicking. I was about to get sacked but I am thankful about the fact that the board showed faith in me. And we are doing really well.
  21. Abdul Fatawu went to Rotherham on loan. Karl Jakob Hein joined the club on loan from Arsenal. Callum McGregor has joined Southampton for 16.25 million pounds from Celtic. Harry Wilson joined the club on loan from Fulham. Josh Dasilva joined the club on loan from Brentford. Liam Cooper joined the club on loan from Leeds United.
  22. Finley Burns has joined the club on loan from Manchester City. Christian Saydee joined the club on loan from Bournemouth. Luis Maximiano has joined the club from FC Koln for 7.5 million pounds. Osaze Urhoghide has gone to Genoa for 700k pounds. Bryan Gil has joined the club on loan from Tottenham Hotspur. Joe Hart has gone to Rosenborg for 71k pounds.
  23. Some more moves have been made in the transfer window. Mackenzie Carse has gone on loan to Salernitana. Darko Lazovic has joined the club from Hellas Verona for 4.9 million pounds. Jasper Cillessen has joined the club from NEC Nijmegen for 2.9 million pounds. Kevin Schade has joined the club from SC Freiburg for 7 million pounds. Sead Haksabanovic has gone to Anderlecht for 12.5 million pounds. Gabriel Slonina joined the club on loan from Chelsea.
  24. And some more transfers have happened. Ahmed Aboul Fotouh joined the club from Zamalek for 6.75 million pounds. Leandro Brey joined the club from Boca Juniors for 7.5 million pounds. Reo Hatate went to Al Hilal (KSA) for 10.5 million pounds. Bosun Lawal went to Hibernian on loan. Mile Svilar joined the club on a permanent deal from AS Roma for 1.3 million pounds. Olivier Boscagli went to Wolverhampton Wanderers for 10.5 million pounds.
