    It's @yellowsweatygorilla's new updated file for the Canadian Expansion causing this issue to happen. He did something with the Canadian MLSNP teams which causes this error to occur. I fixed this issue by going into his file and deleting the "MLS Next Pro Canadian Teams" competition in the database. Hopefully he fixes it as I've brought this issue up in his thread already.

    The new update has basically made this file incompatible with any USA database that includes MLS Next Pro. I had to open your file in the editor and manually remove the changes that you made which caused this error to happen. Just a heads up @yellowsweatygorilla

    There's so many files here (like the weather + city fix) that can just be made null if SI decided to take a look at these files and apply these changes to the official database.

    You can all theorize but it's simply wrong. Nothing more to it. Anecdotal evidence doesn't mean anything in this scenario. Talk to any SI researcher/developer like I have and they'll tell you straight up.

    This is a complete and total lie. Youth intakes in one league do not affect youth intakes in other leagues at all, especially in the USA where non-American youth intake nationalities are more so based on a dice roll more than anything. I have no idea where you got this from.

    There's been a secret stadium editor in the PGE for years but sadly it hasn't been enabled publicly. Hopefully the method to enable it in previous FMs still works for this FM

    Brandon Servania's (FC Dallas) brother is Jaden Servania (North Carolina FC) Ladji Malle's (LAFC/Las Vegas LIghts) brother is Aly Malle (Yeni Malatyaspor in Turkey)

    Despite playing 32 games at left-back this season for the LA Galaxy, Raheem Edwards doesn't even have accomplished familiarity of the position in the FM23 database. His current ability is also extremely low for someone who notably performed well as one of the better LBs in MLS this season. Below I have attached screenshots of a more realistic interpretation of what I feel like his attributes should be set to, if you want to use that as a guideline. Other things of note: His full name should be Raheem Nathaniel Anfernee Edwards He is of Jamaican descent so perhaps he should have that added as a secondary nation

    You should be able to set a region of birth for a player in the editor (for example a specific state for an American player who's exact city of birth is unknown or not in the database) but sadly the ability to do so seems to be only possible for researchers and not normal users using the pre-game Editor

    This is more of a bug than it is a feature though so perhaps this should be brought up as a data issue instead

    As of today, Julian Gressel is officially a US citizen which means he is officially fully eligible for the US men's national team. Therefore his hard-coded declaration for Germany should be removed as he has expressed interest before in representing the USMNT. Additionally, if you zoom in to his certificate you can see that his full name is 'Julian Emil Kurt Gressel' which should be updated in the database.

    I agree that you should be able to offer players B team contracts. The AI can, why can't we?

    This has been a HUGE issue in past FMs, got moderately fixed in FM22 from my knowledge, but now it's back again. MLS teams keep buying senior players for huge fees and then waiving them once the roster registration date comes around. There also seems to be an issue of various MLS teams waiving talented youngsters on reserve/SMS contracts instead of just placing them in their 2 teams.

    The USA data team is far from the best when it comes to addressing data issues (to put it lightly) when compared to other nations I and many others have been bringing up multiple issues for years, for example missing nationalities in my case, and staff data abnormalities for others, that have just simply been ignored. A fair portion of the issues brought up in the FM22 data issues thread for the USA have not been fixed as of the latest FM23 beta version. The head researcher for the USA is Al Clark, who you can reach on Twitter (@Aljarov). He's quite active on there and actually responded to one of my DMs once a long time ago so I'm sure he can look at this.

    The US Open Cup in-game only allows 3 substitutions, while in real life it has expanded to 5 substitutions (with 3 stoppages) along with an additional sub in extra time. The bench spots remains at 7, however.

    In my game it says Bruno Mbeubap is 5'9', but he is not that short in real life, he is 192cm according to Transfermarkt

    Having this issue too. At default the volume is at 5, but when I lower it to 1 and press confirm it resets back to 5 again.
