  1. Hello all, With FM24 on the horizon I would like to thank those who have played, edited, and provided feedback on this file, which was just simply meant to be a file for personal use until I came across the problem that there have been no files like this made available publicly that include the NCAA without promotion/relegation and/or immersion-breaking issues. Now, this same problem is becoming seemingly likely for FM24, and as someone who has personally used files like this for 5 consecutive editions of Football Manager, it would be extremely disappointing to not have a file by November that realistically (or semi-realistically) represents the lower tiers of the US pyramid. Had this been a few years ago, I'd obviously be up for the task, but work, life, and school commitments have become too much to overcome in order to be able to accurately edit and test such a huge file on my own by then. My wish is that SI can finally license USLC/USL1/USL2 (perhaps even NCAA) in a future edition of this game, or that Uncle Sam returns, but until that point I'd love there to be a centralized file like this for the community to use without issue regardless of whether or not I'm involved. If there is enough interest from anyone reading this in creating/testing files like this one for FM24 and possibly beyond, message me via this forum or my Discord account (gumfm) and perhaps I'd be able to start some sort of group to help achieve this goal.
  2. This has already been a factor in the game for years, but more so for free agents rather than players moving from one club to another.
  3. The fact that you've managed to come away from this discussion with this absurd claim, which nobody here is arguing for, just shows that you are clearly trying to argue on extremes. With this logic, do you think that the dynamic youth rating feature, which is already in this game, has an unlimited cap and is "unrealistic"? Obviously not. If every feature requested here has to solve a "problem," then this board would cease to exist. In fact, if DPA was added to FM24, the vast majority of the community would be ecstatic about it. Which is why, in my opinion, this feature (or alternatives for it) should be a must in some way for SI going forward.
  4. Very best case scenario it would look like an early 2010's PES/FIFA game. However, if you told me FM25 would just look almost identical to how it is now on the field with massive stadium & animation improvements along with a better match engine overall, I would absolutely take it. I'd rather have that than have it look like FIFA 12 with no match engine improvements at all.
  5. I agree. I appreciate folks like V50 and Aljarov who year after year have helped contribute to one of the main reasons I still play this game year after year. I hope Uncle Sam can return and bring his USA Expansion back, which is miles better than any realistic US database, including mine, that has come out since his last file in FM20. His inclusion of much lower leagues like USL League Two and NPSL/UPSL in his file fed CONCACAF with even more main and dual-national talent that would help boost both domestic and national teams across the region. Thanks for showing love to CONCACAF, but especially the Caribbean. I had a regular non-youth save with V50's file towards the very end of the FM22 cycle with an amateur Turks & Caicos team. I won the Caribbean Cup and put up a great fight against teams in the Champions Cup despite never winning. It's something I highly recommend to anyone willing to try it out, with this challenge or simply just standalone.
  6. People across SI and the community hate having this discussion, for some odd reason, when in my opinion it would absolutely be one of the best features ever added to FM. If a 110 CA & PA striker starts on a Premier League team and then proceeds to score 30+ goals each season across multiple seasons, why shouldn't they have a PA increase? Every reason I've heard against this, in my opinion, is lackluster. I completely agree with this. If anything, dynamic PA not being in the game ruins the immersion for me in certain cases and in my opinion goes against the will of SI to make the full semi-realistic experience that they wish for year after year. It is one of the only things that FIFA's (now EAFC) manager mode has gotten right, which to me is embarrassing as career mode is not even a main focus for that game. If the player's individual attributes and CA are dynamic, their PA should be too under rare circumstances. This should also mean a player's PA going down after devastating injuries, which I believe was an actual feature back in CM3 but I'm not sure whether or not it is still in the game. I hope now with the addition of DYR, dynamic PA will be on the horizon.
  7. I actually remember fixed Danish newgen names being an announced "feature" in a previous FM game few years back oddly enough. Quite funny that something so minor is still an issue
  8. It's still a partnership nonetheless, and should be reflected in the game. If you type in "Barca Residency" into Google it mentions their partnership in-depth with FC Barcelona through various sources. However, I can't say the same for BVB Texas and you are probably right about just it being a simple licensing agreement in that case.
  9. Thank you for this. I haven't (and probably won't in the future) had any time to test my file post-winter update, so I assume that winter update is what messed a lot of things up. I'll replace my file in the OP with this one and credit you.
  10. The lack of registration rules in league below MLS, certain defunct teams being readded to NISA to bolster the numbers, the playoff system in the bottom 3 leagues, and future transfers of less than a dozen real (non-noteworthy) players to various expansion teams that I was going to revert for this released file but did not find the time to.
  11. I wouldn't call it 99% accurate, but I'd call it semi-realistic. Like I mentioned in my post, NCAA is mostly unchanged from Palk and owncredible's FM22 file which is also based off of Uncle Sam's FM21 file so I do not know if it is still an accurate structure but all I know is that it works.
  12. I finished this file a month ago for personal use, but I realized that the majority of US files released for this game cycle so far are either messy/broken/barebones or exclude NCAA so I've decided to release this to the public. This file is based off an old framework, which is @Palk and @owncredible's FM22 file released over a year ago that included NCAA D1 teams. The 32,000+ changes include, but are not limited to: All professional leagues in the US tier system playable (decided not to touch USL2, too messy) NCAA D1 of course, with the playoff system mostly untouched from the Palk file Dozens of expansion teams across all leagues (some confirmed, some rumored) A new fake USL1, MLSNP, and NISA playoff system to better accommodate the added teams More realistic/accurate stadiums for the match engine (thanks to the hidden stadium editor!) Added new stadiums/training facilities for various teams Awards across all leagues Added academies to certain teams Other minor data changes like rival teams And more! In this file I fixed a bug from Palk's FM22 file where a large chunk of NCAA teams from certain conferences weren't even being counted as NCAA/"USL2" teams and were therefore not having lower league US academy players "graduate" to them. This would then stall out these teams by reducing the quality of players they have, resulting in them not having any draft-worthy players after a certain period of time during long-term saves. I used @Uncle Sam's previous US files to help me fix this (something to do with child competitions I believe) and I hope he comes back for FM24 as any file he makes would be much much better than mine. Sadly, for similar reasons as to why I did not add USL2 to this file, I have not been able to update the US Open Cup competition to accommodate the large amount of expansion teams in this file. This means certain teams will not be able to enter this competition if their league position is too low. There are no registration rules for any leagues below MLS, due my observation that for some reason in this year's game compared to the last the AI in those leagues do not sign foreign players who have not played in the US before. My attempts to fix this issue by removing registration rules and changing team scouting packages have not seemed to work based on my tests, but I decided to keep it these changes in just in case. I haven't tested this post-winter update, so if this is fixed I will perhaps revert back. Due to the amount of excruciating time it took for me to make this, updates will be very limited. However, if you find any major issues, please let me know and I will try to do my best to provide a solution. WARNING: This file is incompatible with yellowsweatygorilla's Canadian Megapatch, as he decided to touch Vancouver 2 and Toronto II teams in this file and switch their leagues around, therefore breaking their compatibility with MLS Next Pro in this file. All you need to do to keep compatibility with this file is open his file with the pre-game editor, undo all the changes made to Vancouver 2 and Toronto II, and reverify the file. EDIT: Updated file for 23.4. All credit goes to @Dallan and @Aljarov for this fix. GUM USAE + MLSN.fmf
  13. I just investigated this myself and I was able to verify my own advanced rules database with the top 3 divisions + NCAA just fine. There are also various USA databases out now in places such as the workshop that don't have any problems. I don't know what the issues are for other people but saying US databases are impossible to make or whatever is simply just misleading. I've attached my file below as proof. Keep in mind only the top 4 leagues can be verified as I have not completed the rest. 1093851027_USAExpansionv22.7.1(CACompatible).fmf
  14. Is this true? I haven't heard of this...
  15. It's a shame the World Cup host list hasn't been changed in a game released in a World Cup year. Missed opportunity there.
  16. I don't want to be rude but this post is very ill-informed to the point where it might as well take an entire academic essay to explain why OP is completely wrong.
  17. More than most places, yes, but there's a lot of lowly upvoted FM shenanigans being posted there that I see quite often. Two of the biggest issues this year to me seem to be the match engine and interactions.
  18. The conclusion that I've been getting from these threads, reading the FMG subreddit, and other various forums discussing the series is that this year's game is broken from top to bottom in every aspect and it's going to take more than a year's cycle to save.
  19. Perhaps this is more of a "bug" than a new feature to request, as I know newgens have been able to generate as either the son or brother to another person in the game for years now, but I feel that the chances of this happening are way lower than they really should be when compared to real life. It should be less of an "easter egg" and more of a common occurrence in the game world that would massively help increase immersion. Additionally, there could also be more articles and staff messages in the game when it comes to these relationships, such as when two siblings come through in the same youth intake and then your HoYD would inform you of the relationship and an article would be released in your inbox shortly thereafter hyping the occurrence up.
  20. This is one of the few things that I'm actually fine with this year. I'd rather see a bunch of shots go wide or over the bar than have them unrealistically hit the bar 10 times a game or just end up right in the keeper's hands.
  21. SoccerViza FC de Talamanca, a third division Costa Rican team from Talamanca, Limon, is missing from the database. Their current head coach is former Italian-American player Giuseppe Funnicello.
  22. Players like Omry Bello, Angel Montes de Oca, and Diefry Sandy Mensù who did great for the team that made the final of the 2022 CONCACAF U-20 Championship and as a result got callups for the senior team should also be updated accordingly as they currently have a CA and PA of 0 in the current database. All three should also probably have at least a PA of -55 or -6, especially Montes de Oca who made the Best XI
