Season 34/35
I have decided to provide updates a season at a time rather than being broken up into 3 periods.
The end of our 16th season and our 15th league play-off win. We went on to complete the treble for the 13th time.
We qualified for the CL group stages comfortably and were drawn against Atleti, Arsenal and Feyenoord. We didnt gain anything other than 2 goals against Atleti and Arsenal but we beat Feyenoord twice and secured a Europe League knockout tie against Sturm Graz. We eased into the next round where we faced the mighty Juventus and arguably achieved the clubs greatest ever scalp by beating them 3-1 at home and drawing 1-1 away to progress. In typical FM style, we bowed in the next round against Atalanta.
A few stand out performances across the squad. Andi Elezi scored more than 40 goals for the 2nd successive season and there is some interest from other clubs for him. Majstorovic and Supe are excellent CB's and it will be another couple of months filled with offers for the pair. I have been very impressed with Da Silva who at 16 is/should develop into a beast and with Slavica approaching his final year, i may be tempted to part ways with our loyal Croat (as I also need to reduce some of the foreign players at the club). Savkovic has developed tremendously this season and is now classed as a Wonderkid. There have been offers aplenty for him and he is currently unhappy with not being allowed to move on but unless I receive a ridiculous amount of money, he wont be going anywhere.
Our latest youth intake wasnt the best, again, but there are a couple of players with some steady potential.
Fredrik Nilsson has good attributes in all the right places and could be our Norwegian Adebayo.
Mazza looks like a decent right back
Im debating whether to go back to playing 4-1-4-1 because as much as I have enjoyed experimenting with 3 at the back, I find more comfort with a back 4. Its something I will have to give a bit of thought to.
In other news, our stadium capacity is being increased from 5500 to 8300

@duesouth good luck with continuing that save

For the first time since the beginning we had a great youth intake
A solid first season in Serie A and that's a great looking intake!

I did pay inflated prices to help the other clubs. They used some of them on facilities, but mostly on overpriced players...
That's what has put me off, but I may have no choice if I want to progress with the NT

This season is going nuts - we will really improve
Last time I checked, (a couple of in game seasons ago), no other club had reached any European group stage.

The league is finally getting better.
We just raised to the 15. best nation - so now we have 2 teams in CL qualification - 1 team in El qualification and 2 teams in ECL qualification.
Which means we know have 5 spots for european football
Last couple years the some of other teams did qualify for ECL - and also qualifying for the knock-outs in season 41/42 - which is the reason for this improvement.
Im around 8 seasons behind you at the moment and the San Marino league is 32nd I think.

Yeah its from Pennarossa
The best youth player from another team reached 4 star CA when I signed them.
Im also flirting with the idea to sign a player from each side for an inflated price to help boost other clubs finances which hopefully they'll use on facilities. We've got £160m in the bank and I've been rejecting £30m+ offers for 3 of my players.

We're 2.5 star and our training facilities are are rated as Superb.

Season 33/34; End of Season
With no European football, our attention was solely with the domestic scene and we swept up.
Andi Elezi was 1 goal away from equaling the clubs record for most goals by a player in a season. He's turning out to be a quality signing for less than £1m. I was very happy with all of the signings and Savkovic looks like he is going to develop into a top quality player.
The one area of the squad I have not strengthened has been in goal and so Carlos Eduardo will be joining us in the summer.
On to next season...

I'm doing a similar challenge in San Marino with San Giovanni, albeit not a youth only challenge. It's difficult as it is but with the restriction of only relying on youth, props to you.
The San Marino challenge thread is worth a read as there are a few people having a go.
Best of luck

Season 33/34; Mid-Season
Well, disappointed to say the least as we finished bottom of our CL group. Things started well with two 2-2 draws against Atleti at home and Dinamo away. We were outclassed in the 2 games against Inter but a 0-0 draw away to Atleti put us in a great position to finish 3rd but we lost 3-1 to Dinamo at home. We dominated but it was just one of those games.
Regardless of this I have been pleased with the change of formation. Elezi has proved to be a quality signing with 30 in 25 and has paid back the £875k we spent on him. Rodrigues also looks to be a a very shrewd signing. I dont feel that we have missed Vokshi as Majstorovic has performed well. Josko Supe is on the radar of all the big clubs at the minute and he could be the next player to move away. He has 2 years left on his current deal and isnt interested in signing another at present.
There is some promise with a couple of our youngsters like the 2 Ciacci's and Macina but as we are now deemed a bigger side, I have started to sign promising young players from other clubs.
Fumaca joins us for £2.5m and will be challenging for the DM spot. Laporte will be leaving us at the end of the season and I have made an offer to sign current loanee, Mario Harewood, from Spurs who is currently classed as a Wonderkid. UPDATE: Was unable to agree a sensible deal for Harewood as the agent wanted to include a non-negotiable release fee of £300k! I am however now able to extend Laporte's loan deal until next season which I am snapping up.
Bojan Sakovic is a young Serbian midfielder who can play out wide or in the middle. Signed for an initial £1m and could rise to £3m.
Our 3rd signing is 15 year old Edgar Da Silva who is (hopefully) my long term replacement for Slavica. He signs for an initial £825k and could rise to £2.3m. He looks a real bargain.

I was happy with the results during qualifiers for the World Cup. Routine wins against Luxembourg and 2 very good wins against Ireland. We also managed to draw 0-0 with Belgium. We never really threatened the top 2 but happy nevertheless.

That's a tough group - good luck!
Drew with Atleti at home 2-2 and the same result away to Dinamo. Could be a tight group

Season 33/34; European Qualifiers
We now enter the CL qualifiers in the 2nd round and qualified for the group stages comfortably.
A tough group as all 3 have won their domestic leagues for at least the last 2 years and Inter won the CL 2 seasons ago.
After the close season sale of Adebayo, we also sold Vokshi in pre-season. I decided to cash in on him as he had a year left on his £19k a week (highest earner) deal and he wanted a ridiculous amount to re-sign. A few clubs were interested and he signed for Atalanta for an initial £9.75m rising to £13.5m after international appearances. Happy to have made some profit as we signed him for £10m. I made up my mind with Laporte and he will be my main DM and I already had my eye on a couple of defensive players to bring in. Majstorovic signed for £500k and had a better attribute spread, other than heading, over Vokshi. I also signed Mario Harewood from Spurs on a season loan.
New signing, Andi Elezi, has been exceptional during the CL qualifiers scoring 12 in 6 and has been very well backed up by his strike partner, Gennari, who has 8 in 6. I was interested to see how our new 3-1-4-2 formation would play out and Ive been very impressed so far. It will be interesting to see how we get on against Inter and Atleti in the group stages.

I'll be interested in how the 3-1-4-2 goes @Cuomo10 - 4-4-2 seems quite OP this year, and I would guess it might struggle against that - but hope it works out well.
Yes, I can only judge how well it will do in the European games because we're too strong domestically. Ive not faced too many sides playing 4-4-2 to be honest.

Season 32/33; End of Season
We dominated domestically again securing the treble.
We lost against Austria Vienna in the EL 1st KO round on away goals. I was quite disappointed with the result and started to work with a different formation. To compete in Europe, I need to ensure I have the best possible squad so I am looking to relax my own foreign player restriction. Ive also switched to a 3-1-4-2 and there are a couple of reasons for the decision. The first being Henrique, our LB, will be returning to his parent club and I wasnt prepared to part with almost £15m for him. I scouted for a replacement but the 2 I was interested in wanted very high wages. We also have some very good CB's. The second is that I want to start playing with 2 strikers as I was wanting both Adebayo and Gennari to play.
I forgot to take a screen shot of the squad at the end of last season, but here is the 'best XI'.
The Adebayo transfer saga has come to an end. LAFC were willing to pay £62m upfront and I also applied a 40% of next sale clause. The amount was too much to refuse considering he came through the youth and I have already replaced him with 2 quality signings, paying less than £5.5m for both.
Andi Elezi is a 20 year old Serbian, with great attributes. He was ahead of Adebayo in most areas and only cost £875k. I am hoping he will turn out to be the bargain of FM20
Millen Rodrigues is a 17 year old Brazilian with bags of potential. I am looking forward to seeing how he can develop over the next few years.
I am also looking for a very good DM and I have my eye on a couple of players to try and bring in the right one.

Season 32/33; Mid-Season
We started off with 2 defeats in the CL group stage but 2 excellent wins against Lokomotiv meant that we secured 3rd spot. We also picked up a 0-0 draw against City at home which was a very good result.
We have been drawn against Austria Vienna in the EL 1st KO round
Supe has been developing really well since he arrived and he is now the interest of a few big teams. There is a nice spread of goals amongst my attacking players and Slavica has been quality as my DLP.
Our latest Youth Intake preview looks shocking but I will wait for the actual intake before deciding which position I will need to strengthen. A LB looks to be a must and as there arent any domestic players worth noting in this position, I have a decision to make as Laporte has been solid as my DM.
==============================================================
The NT were up against it after 2 defeats in 3 games during the Nations League, but we won our last 3 games, including a 3-0 win against Norway which meant we finished top of the group.
We have also broken into the top 100 for the first time @duesouth

Season 32/33; European Qualification
A very strong qualifying campaign saw us qualify for the CL group stages for the 3rd successive season. We conceded just once in 8 games. We're handed a tough group as both Man City and Monaco have dominated in England and France over the last 5 or so years.
No new signings as I trimmed the number of foreign signings at the club. I have extended Laporte's loan until the end of next season and Henrique's parent club are wanting to give him a chance next season. This will free up a foreign signing spot and I will be looking to bring in a quality DM as we havent got a domestic player with good ability in this position. I will wait to see what our next intake brings, it would be great to have a good LB come through.

I used Claasen's file - but that had a bug in it where other teams weren't always registering their players properly, so I can't recommend using that one. I guess you could find that on the Steam Workshop and see if you can de-bug that one. I haven't tried the Fusion DB one - not sure if others in the San Marino League have used it - anyone?
I used Claasen's file. It isnt ideal with the club registration issue.

Season 31/32; End of Season
We beat Anderlecht on penalties in the 1st KO round but couldnt defend our 2 goal, first leg lead against Espanyol in the next. We conceded a 92nd minute penalty which they scored and took the tie to Extra Time. They dominated the whole game to be fair.
We continued our domestic dominance by winning the league and cup.
Rolland left towards the end of the season to a Qatari side and both Skugor and Padilha will also be parting ways with the club bringing our foreign transfers to 5 and where I want that number to be. Both Henrique and Laporte are on loan with us until the end of next season. The quality in our youth team is low and we are lacking depth in some areas.
Our latest youth intake isnt anything special with just a couple of players to get mildly excited about.

San Marino Calcio 2027/2028 - Serie A - Part One
I managed to make two of our loan signings, both who had been with us for 2 years, permanent. Keeper Gaetano De Simone for £1.2 million and defensive midfielder Massimiliano Morabito for £4 million. We also were able to get striker Francesco Malagnino back on loan again - although he's not been as good this season. The team is far more permanent than it has been - with just Malagnino and a right back loanees in the starting lineup - and 2 backups as I couldn't find anyone else. That led to a better start than usual - although we had a 6 games without a win blip around December - but have just won 3 in a row after a well timed team meeting.
We've played 22 games of the season, so a little over halfway - and we're doing really well. We have 32 points - so almost to the magic 40 point "should be enough to stay up" mark.
Facilities are getting better - the board have agreed to another youth and training facilities upgrade - while both junior coaching and youth recruitment are now "Excellent".
The early report on the 2028 youth intake promises a "Golden Generation" - but I've seen that before and I'm still waiting - but I live in hope!! Our one first teamer who has come through the youth ranks is Benoit Besnier - who has the highest average rating so far this season - but he's French and of no help to the National Team.
San Marino National Team
After a European Championships Qualifying campaign which saw the national team win just once - manager Nicola Berardi quit. I was thinking about this job in a couple of years time - but as it naturally became available, I applied and got the job. My first match isn't until March and the squad isn't great - but hopefully we can have a decent Nations League campaign.
Good stuff. I think they really need to work on the whole 'Golden Generation' detail - very misleading.
Also, look at Juve!

Maybe people will share pictures of their best prospects in the NT?
Had 2 terrible!!! intakes - best player had 2 stars potential...
So i have nothing to show of
This is my current NT squad
There are only a couple of players remaining from the original squad.
Ercolani arrived during my 3rd intake and has been a star player for a number of years. He has scored 25 goals in 71 NT apps.
Biordi is currently the best rated player for the NT. Man Utd, Tottenham and Porto have all been interested in signing him over the past 12-18 months
Gennari is our latest stand out player for the NT and came through the intake last season. At 18 years old, he is our new number 1 striker.

Season 31/32; Mid Season Update
I was happy with our performances during the CL group stages with 2 wins and a draw. This was our best performance during a group stage. We have a tie against Anderlecht in the EL knockouts
Both Adebayo and Gennari have performed will up front and as Skugor has picked up consecutive knee ligament injuries and with the 2 youngsters plus another one called Passuello, I will be letting him leave. I will also be letting Rolland leave and looking for a better alternative at CB as we will need an extra quality CB.
Padilha's loan is up at the end of the season but I am looking to make him permanent. He has a £10m release clause but im trying to get him in for a lower fee if i can.
****************************************************************
We had a great qualifying campaign for the Euro's and finished 2nd in our group
We missed out on qualification by a matter of goals. With some new young talent coming through the buzz for the NT is back and excited for the future.
We're also now 100th in the world rankings

Season 31/32; European Qualification
We've qualified for the CL group stages for the 2nd successive season. Some very strong performances along the way. We might be able to get something out of the 2 games against Fenerbahce, we'll see.
We have parted ways with 3 players during pre-season as I look to free up some foreign spots for my youngsters. Bryski left on a free as his contract was up and we sold Pejic for £400k who failed to impress after signing for £700k last season. The tough call was allowing Kone to leave however, he is now 30 and was on almost £19k a week. A number of teams in France had been interested in him for some time and we managed to sell him for £750k. The squad still has 6 signed foreign players but both Rolland and Skugor's contracts are up in the summer and at least one of them will leave. We currently only have 4 first team CB's and no stand out youth players to come in whilst up front we have 3 very decent young strikers. But Skugor has been quality for me so it is going to be a tough decision.
There are 6 players 18 and under in the first team mix and a couple of other decent players in the youth team so I will be trying to give them some playing time with personalised training to aide their development.
Before signing a new deal, bids were coming in left, right and centre for Biordi with clubs such as Spurs and Man Utd making a couple of bids. We've received a fair few bids for a lot of our players over the summer with some domestic sides bidding in excess of £500k for Tota!
****************************************************************
After losing our first qualifier against Albania, we have won 2 and drawn 1 sending us 2nd in the group. Granted Italy have only played twice compared to us and Albania and we play them next away from home. Its a promising start and the excitement of managing the NT is coming back, especially with a couple of decent youngsters coming through.
We're now a record high of 107th in the World rankings.
Our U21's finished 3rd in their Euro Championship group, not a bad effort for the nations first ever tournament at any level.
