Transfer Finalized!
Dimitar Ivanov will, indeed, join CSL side Chongqing in a $15.75M move, sealing $12M in profits for the club.
Eugene Getsko also has left the club, being sold for $19.75. It's a very bittersweet moment as he saw his first senior caps for the national team with us and made great strides in his development. We also will have to give about $7.75M to Girnyk Kryvyi Rih due to the sell-on clause that he was purchased with.

A couple of draws away and a loss to Olympiakos see us hit a bad patch of form.
Still top of the table but our first two league draws see us move to just 3 points clear of Shakhtar. We now enter the winter break, we will resume play in February.Transfer Rumblings
First off, Roman Man'ko, one of our talismanic academy products is being courted heavily by Malaga of the Segunda Division.
Portuguese Walter is the subject of a $10.5M(could rise to $14.25M) bid from Wolfsburg.... he is most likely gone.
Bulgarian International Dimitar Ivanov is the subject of an $11.75M(rising to $15.75M) bid from CSL side, Chongqing. Not a bad return on a $3.2M sale.
We've also been beating back offers for our star striker, Yuriy Sydorenko. CSL sides are his biggest suitors and our most recent rejected offer was $16.5M. A player that joined us via the academy WAY back in 2023, his eventual sale will finance many youth projects to come.

New Signings
We have brought in three new players on free transfers. Norbert Bodnar(from our second youth intake) returns and new boys Alexandru Antohi and Radu Lazar join us as well.
Bodnar comes back to us from the fifth division! His fairly professional personality will help in terms of mentoring.
Radu Lazar comes to us after being released from third-division side, U Craiova 1948 SA. He is a fullback that will add some depth for us.
Finally, Alexandru Antohi joins us from AFK Csikszereda Miercurea Ciuc, of Liga 2.

We've finished on another great winning streak, out-possessing all comers.
Ready for the playoff!
After being stuck in the fourth division for two seasons, we broke through on the third try! We still have to go and win a playoff but I'm optimistic!

I brought him back because A) he fits the desired age profile of my new signings B) he is a local boy that can provide depth and C) he has a fairly professional personality that I'd like to move throughout the team.

We are inching our way towards promotion to the first of the National Divisions, Liga 3. We still have four more league matches and a playoff(if we do, indeed, win our league).
With just four matches to play, 6 points will do it. Our final stretch sees us face 3 of the bottom 6 sides and the 5th-placed side in the league.

Well, our form since coming back from winter break has been....not great. Thankfully, our schedule is front-loaded so we've finished with the 3rd, 6th, 9th, 8th, 7th, and 5th-placed sides.
We still sit first with a five point lead. Let's see if we can build a cushion at the top.0 -
New Signings
We've officially completed two free transfers, a 22 year-old midfielder(who was 21 when we originally offered him) and a 20 year-old fullback.
Alexandru Blidar is a midfielder with good physical attributes for our level and great passing ability and decisions. He will pair Simionescu in the center of the park.
Alexandru Munteanu is a 20 year-old left back who will immediately provide competition for our incumbent. He has great defensive attributes for our level(10 marking, 13 tackling, 11 determination, 12 positioning) and decent physical and mental attributes. He is a bit small at 5'5" and 154 lbs. but he will do a job.

Another unbeaten month. The draw away to National Sebis was particularly beneficial as they're second in the table to us and we will now not need to face them again! We now head into the winter break and will be back in the league in March.

On first glance, we seem to be playing really well, but beneath the surface, we've been pretty unspectacular in attack and lucky in defense. Lots of 1-0 results and only the 1 goal conceded this month so I must be positive.
We're 10 points clear at the top with 12 straight wins....! 4 matches this month(November) before our winter break(and reinforcements arrive).Players of the Month
Berk Selcuk - He has anchored the center of defense and has replaced Molnar admirably.
Dragos Muresan - Also a new addition to the backline this offseason, the 22 year-old Romanian has been a force in defense and going forward.
Rares Simionescu - The 22 year-old central midfielder has continued his three year run of great play.
Laszlo Szabo - One of our only players that have come through a youth intake during my time at the club to play a significant role. He has been a fixture in the center of midfield.

Can't complain about that start to league play!
We've only gone top of the table! We've also got a couple of signings coming in the January window that I'll profile as they join.
It is a part of the club vision to sell the club so this makes sense.
Also, we are getting no investment from the president. Our finances are TERRIBLE.
Loan payments just over $3,000 are the difference between being in the red and being in the black.0 -

Pre-Season 2024
I guess we'll start with the transfer comings and goings.
Outgoings - the most frustrating part about this level is the constant poaching. We are a semi-professional club but are unable to offer part-time contracts so I'm constantly offering out new contracts to my players to keep them in place. Unfortunately, we lost our main striker and our best central defender.
Nandor Suveg - The striker we picked up 2 season ago, hitting 28 goals in 59 appearances is off to the Third League.
Secondly, Stefan Molnar, our starting center back that we've had for 2 seasons is also off to the third division.
Incomings - we've only made a few signings to replace players and add a tiny bit of depth - all on free transfers.
Constantin Borza comes to us to upgrade our left back position. He will start immediately.
Berk Selcuk, a versatile central defender or midfielder who is also Romanian and Turkish and has plied his trade in Romania for his entire career. He will immediately replace the outgoing Molnar in the center of defense but I'm hoping to get another central defender as Selcuk's best skills show a midfielder.
Nicolae Dinu, a left-sided defender, will also get minutes at the left fullback position.
Cristian Anghel, a versatile attacker will come in and get spot minutes at the vacated striker position but will also drop into the AMC position.

I'll be looking to grab some U-21 castaways from some sides in our division to build depth as we are still utilizing quite a few academy products that will likely never make it.Tudor Pruna, the man between the sticks had a nice, quiet year - which is always great for a goalkeeper!
My center back pairing of Bodnar and Molnar has developed quite nicely and each had a great season!
Rares Simionescu had a very good year in the middle of the park for us!
Baetan, Gyarmati, and Suveg led our line and scored/assisted in bunches. Gyarmati also saw his first U19 cap for Hungary!

April/May/End of Season 2024
Well, our promotion hopes fizzled out with about 4 weeks remaining but we still had a part to play in the race - we beat league leaders Muresul Ludus on the penultimate matchday, which catapulted Giarmata to the top of the table. In the end, Muresul Ludus would win their final match while Giarmata would not, sending Muresul Ludus to the promotion playoff. Our cup run has continued and we are into the final against third-bottom CSM Sighisoara - we have a definite chance!

Good potential but ability is a long way off. Also, disappointed to not see any Hungarian second nationalities, although almost all speak fluent Hungarian and Romanian.
