Sorry guys just lurking and reading normally. Jzst got a text from a mate working on tue database for SI who's saying they were ready but found a similarbug to thursfay that needs to be fixed manually and by copying from FM20 but it's pretty massive. Late night on Thursday or somewhere on Friday seems plausible.

Stay home ffs, the combo of your symptoms + the funny ( is it metallic) taste you got is a potentially covid sign.
Leave grandma home, play FM instead.

You are correct in that the CPU and graphics card on the one in Argos are stronger. You don't need any more than the graphics card in the other one though, but obviously the extra CPU power may well make a bit of a difference to how quickly FM processes.
And that's a good price for the machine in Argos too. The closest equivalent specced machine on the Box website is £100 more.
Last one Kev, I promise
looking at this one also to save that extra money because i'm on furlough,
https://www.argos.co.uk/product/9199527
any good?

Cheers again Kev. settled it down to these two now:

or
https://www.argos.co.uk/product/8095330
leaning more towards the argos one because of Ryzen 7 instead of 5, better graphics card (i think) and the fact I can get it on finance. Worth it you think?

For 800 I'd be looking for more hard drive space
THis is very good

You can add more RAM at a later time to make it 16gb RAM.
Has better graphics card and cpu.
so the AMD Ryzen 5 in the HP is better/quicker than the i7 in the Lenovo?
Upgrading from my current HP for speed really. Was really set on a 17" screen really cause that's what I'm used to but sure id adjust to 15.6".
Fed up of trying to find the best deal/value for money, been looking for 2 weeks
Edit to add: https://www.argos.co.uk/product/8095330 would this be even better? Ryzen 7 and can get it on Argos finance

Evening fellow Janner! Can definitely say it runs smoothly on the pro! But depends really on how many leagues you load. But I’d recommend getting a laptop for the best experience in all honesty, as you’ll be able to load way more leagues and counties and the fact you’ll more than likely get better graphics
good man you've made my mind up for me
good result today eh?

Laptop would be better because you can have more than 3 leagues, more than 30 seasons and PC version can add graphics.
im sure i read somehwere you can add graphics through itunes like with FM Mobile?

Have been playing FM Touch since FM15 when it was classic mode, as I find full fat mode has just too much bloat and takes far too long to do a long term save. Think on FM17 I did a 7 year career on full mode that never really went anywhere and didn't really enjoy it so have stuck to touch mode ever since. Now for FM21 I've been looking at getting a new laptop as the one I'm using is about 3-4 years old and is slowing down a bit when playing 20 Touch. I then came across a YouTube video of someone playing touch mode on an iPad pro, and am now questioning whether to get a laptop or iPad pro instead. Has anyone got a lot of experience on playing touch on an iPad pro? wondering how the game runs say 15/20 seasons into a save as I find on my laptop the game slows down to a crawl that far in. Really cant make up my mind

Worse than the previous ones - you have an ultra low power variant of the Ryzen chip and no dedicated graphics card. I honestly don't know why that one is priced so high.
thanks again Kev, last one I promise

The HP on Amazon by some distance. Considerably stronger processor, same graphics card and £60 less.
The only downside is the smaller storage, but as long as you don't need huge amounts of space then the HP is definitely the one to go for.
Although, this one I linked in my previous reply to you is the same spec, but £50 lower still: https://www.box.co.uk/FX505GT-BQ008T-ASUS-TUF-Gaming-FX505GT-BQ008T_2940903.html
thanks again Kev. just want to make sure I get the right one
how would this graphics card/processor run the match engine and FM21 in general? also 16GB Ram so more than the others ive looked at in that price range
thanks
