  4. Improved Attribute distribution – NewGen generation + progression (eg. Crossing for fullbacks) Has anyone tested this yet? Will be very interesting to see the results!

  7. FYI, this was the tactic I used in that game, not that it really matters, since this stuff shouldn't be happening anyways.
  8. Yeah there are some quite significant drops, especially in the technical attributes. I've had players drop 2 attribute points in areas like crossing, finishing and passing over 1.5 seasons. Cannot seem to be able to develop my young players. (I know it is much harder to develop youth in part time clubs but surely if they perform well on the pitch their development would reflect that?) EDIT: I had a look at all my players development summary in the last 1.5 seasons, and not a single player has had even a slight increase in their technical attributes. There was only three players that actually had a green summary and that was in physical attributes. I have 18 players under the age of 24.

  11. So I'm one season into a save with a part time club and this (picture above) is how my 24 year old star player and most of my squad, even youngsters, have been developing (backwards). Should also note that this player had a pretty decent season with a good average rating. So in general, how would I go about setting up part time training to avoid these kinds of results? Has anyone had a similar experience as me where most players decline even though they perform well, and what did you do about it?

  14. 7ceafa22e20f419759b7ea5906f0473a.mp4 Anyone else notice a lot of these type of goals on FM23? (Defender gets a slightly heavy first touch, doesn't really attempt to reach the ball and opposing player scores a first time shot)
  15. Jérôme Onguéné has never played a game for the French national team yet his nationality is French in game with 17 caps. He has got 17 caps but for a different national team, Cameroon. Weirdly he has also got French as his 2nd nationality on the squad screen.
  16. a779ec30f92bcca8f13a8317fdee579d.mp4 This has been an issue for several editions of FM in a row now. Defending players seem to be paralyzed when a ball comes back in to the box after a set piece has been taken.

  19. Miles said in a blog post that they've worked on improving the long term game world balance. I'm still wondering what he was refering to, not seen anything of that so far. If anything it's just got worse.

This is basically just the same thing as I did in the beginning of this thread, I exported all attributes of all top players and then averaged them and compared different in game years. Summary: It's a lot better, but I still think there are improvements to be made (glad SI also share this view).

  23. As @SupraFlush's game unfortunately crashed during simulation today I won't have any data to base an analysis on. (unless someone else has simulated to 2039 already) That will hopefully come tomorrow though. Most reports I've seen so far indicate that SI have indeed fixed the issue with player development, so huge props to them for fixing it way quicker than I was expecting. Only thing left to do is to confirm this with a statistical analysis. I think we can all get on with our saves without having to worry about player development being broken long term
  24. Not to promising... However only one example, we will need to do a more detailed statistical analysis to draw conclusions. I will do an analysis of player development pre vs post update after work tomorrow, provided there is a new save at 2039. Of course the pre-update simulation at 2039 is available for download at https://www.mediafire.com/file/3nxdxj3kfe8plej/FM23_Player_Development_Test_Top_Leagues_Loaded.fm/file (thx @SupraFlush), so maybe someone will be able to make an analysis earlier than that. I can see that the setup save file I uploaded for the new simulation has already been downloaded 32 times, so thanks a lot to the people that are actually currently running a simulation.
