Don’t you see too much distance between your two DM’s and your SS ?

Through the years I once in a while try other formations but I always go back to 4231DM. I’m just love this formation. So balanced and so tight defensively. The most difficult part for me has always been to find the best roles for the double DM pivot. SO, which roles do you prefer and why? My thoughts: DLP: The safe choice. Strong defensively but sometimes lack a bit of dynamic movement. DM: More dynamic than DLP but not as creative. BWM: Very strong defensively and a very solid role against strong teams. RPM: I tried several times to get this role to work. It’s just not as creative and the I always get some of the lowest ratings when I use this role. Regista: This role is by far the role I get the best ratings and performances from. When I use a RPM my players hardly get a season average above 6.90 even if I win the title. But when I switch to Regista that around 7.30-7.40. Segundo Volante: Very dynamic role that I love to use. I often end up using the Regista/Segundo Volante combo even though the common sense says that it shouldn’t work. But it does. I never use half back and the other more defensive roles, as they simply doesn’t create enough offensively

Not when you compare with your forwards. The best forwards in each league gets rating obove 8.00. And IRL it is not like the forwards is always the best on the pitch. Vinicius Jr., Khvicha, Leao, Musiala, Neymar etc. I think Serie A is harder because a lot of teams play with 3 CB´s and it is much harder for wnigers to find space.

100% agree. They should remove it. This part is like playing in FIFA 12 career mode.

I have just surprised everyone and won UEFA Champions League. The week after I am having the end of season team talk. Look at my options to answer my squad. Beyond ridicilous. Please SI, this talks are just generic BS. It doesnt make any sense at all.

I finished level points with Atalanta in Serie A. And then we are gonna have a Playoff game to win the title. But litteraly 90% of my starting line up is away on Internatinal duty. This is just completely ridiciouls because this would never happen IRL. Never!

Not to me. My motivation today after I I’ve won everything many times is to get as high average rating as possible and get on of my wingers to win Ballon D’Or.

I can only affford one of them. Which one to chose?

As the title says. Could it work to use a RPM and Regista in a double pivot ?

I am trying to setup a mid block 4231 tactic with counter, high tempo and short passing. And regroup instead of counter press. So two questions. 1) Would you use “Prevent short GK distribution” or is this only suited for high press systems? 2) And what about “Be more expressive”. Could this be the user in these type of counter/transition systems?

From time to time through the years I’ve opened threats about how I get my wingers (Leão at Milan) to get high average ratings in a 4231 or 4241DM system. Like in the video below. But I have never been able to crack the code. 7.50 at a maximum. Seeing threads and YouTube videos where people get their IW/IF to have have a season average above 7.80 I noticed that it is always tested outside Serie A. Is it just much harder to get IF/IW to perform with a high average rating in Serie A than other leagues ? Many teams play 352 in Serie A and that is definitely hard for IW/IF in a 4231 system

So everytime I play against a team that plays with a 5 back line (meaning 90% of all teams in Italy) my wingers get destroyed. How do I get my wingers to perform against these formation? I am Milan BTW.

It was the winter window so it was impossible to sign any replacement without paying an astronomical fee. I ended up buying Marcus Thuram for only 5M because he contract was gonna expire in the summer 2023. What a purchase that was! So fast and strong!

Does anyone know if Rasmus Højlunds PA an CA have been upgraded in the Winter Update? IRL He is one of the biggest forward wonderkids out there.

It’s January in my Milan save and I just sold Rafael Leão to Man. City for 120M Euro. So I need an urgent replacement in a IFa position (4231DM). Tried Musiala but he was out of reach.

But I seem to not create as much tbh. You would pair a DM/Reg. ? DM is without holding?

Hi Guys I really struggle to find the correct combo of my double pivot. I like using Reg./SV because then I create a lot of chances. But I also concede a lot of goals. When I use RPM/SV my RPM (Tonali) doesnt perform so well and we are not as creative as when I use the Reg/SV. Switching to DLP,DM or BWM doesnt create nearly as many chances. What would you do?

After the update Roma is called Capitoline, Napoli Parthenope. How do I change this? Its ridicious.
