With the best bit beating Real Madrid on head-to-head I thought when you went all out for the Copa del ray final that you’d blow the league, which thankfully wasn’t affected by the two losses. Pity about the Champions League against Hertha Berlin. Could you have done it differently or would it have worked out the same as the Copa final? Squad depth was much better this season, and still the only thing holding back a clean sweep with the Champions League. I’m curious about Malaga’s third win and if it had an impact on the title race

That’s a wild swing compared to your main GK. You’d think they’d be competing and getting at least 3 out of every four or more in. Not everyone can do what James Ward Prowes or Juninho (Lyon) do/did with set-pieces/freekicks though.

Good win and needed! Tough league, with no team but last placed Stevenage in a GD of double figures (negative in their case). D&G are doing ok too since also being promoted. Fix that GA and you’d have a great crack at playoffs (being conservative), with having the best attack in the league.

That was an amazing end to last season, finishing with 100 points, a league title and promotion Dover showed that they drew too much in the run in but unlucky to come up against yourself and D&G. Reasonable start to this season too

1 + maybe one? Not a lot of wiggle room with foreign signings. I like Fontana and he just about looks ready to be integrated into the first team. Costa’s main difference to me is that he isn’t the aerial threat that Fontana is, and that he’s already a squad player who has proven his greater consistency. What age was Zenga when you bought him into the first team? Reis would be a top signing, though looks a non-EU signing though.

Europa League Champions! Congrats. Ticks that competition off of your list. Milan are interesting statistically, as Leah was their top scorer with 15 goals with Keke’s 0.47 expected goals/90 sneaking onto the list, while only Tonali showed up on the assists side with 0.29 expected assists/90. Considering they scored 75 and conceded only 13, second GA and third GF, what were they doing to win so much? I also liked how the top four positions defeat columns reflected their league positions Transfers look under control, especially when coupled with the possibility of outgoings balancing the incomings. I guess it comes down to if a special player becomes available for the right price and reasonable wages that doesn’t disrupt the team. Not that it necessarily matters if one doesn’t occur either. Feels like all that’s left is to start next season.

Keep that up and if my calculations are correct, you’ll finish around the 50 points mark. Not sure how that translates into positions though.
