  1. Motor Lublin - Season 11 - Winter Break So I've not talked about my save for quite a few months, but I have plenty of things to discuss. We've been enjoying a good round of fixtures this season, and despite some questionable form towards the end, we have done well in various competitions. Still, despite winning our first six games of the season, we struggled a bit more in the league, picking up just five wins in 13 games. We are still 3rd, though. We did great things in Europe, though, finishing in 4th place in the Europa Conference League, meaning that we and Lechia Gdańsk, who finished 8th place, qualified for the Round of 16 straight off the bat. The youth intake preview looks decent either way. Yes, I am going to be flooding the forum with a lot of posts. I've been busy. JLAB's YAC with Motor Lublin Part 36
  2. Yeah, I only knew about it because I managed IFK Eskilstuna in FM 22, who actually have a single Allsvenskan title to their name. You have Eskilstuna City, whose libby has taken over, and finally, you have AFC Eskilstuna. The club was known under FC Café Opera and Väsby United before switching ownership and identity in 2012 to AFC United. During the 2016 season, it was once again decided that they would switch their name, identity, and locality. Choosing to move to Eskilstuna, about 110 kilometres west of Stockholm, they are known as AFC Eskilstuna. History is so fun sometimes.
  3. They have a link with a higher tier side, but it can be terminated. I took over the other Eskilstuna in the 4th tier (yes, there are three Eskilstuna teams) team in FM 22. When my Eskilstuna team and the higher-tier Eskilstuna team ended up in the same division, the link was terminated.
  4. Sorry @darren1983 I messed up the wording on my part. The league reset is the 27th June, while the last game of the season before the relegation playoff in the first season which you'd use to reload to get the team you want is the 3rd June. Sorry for the mixup.
  5. So for Ukraine, the save point date to reload your game if you didn't get your team is the 3rd June. The reset date for the next season is 27th June. @darren1983
  6. Motor Lublin - Season 11 - Transfer Window In the summer transfer window, I sold Michał Jaros for £20M because he kept on getting upset and I finally had enough of his terrible attitude. While he has a huge transfer value of £40M-£46M after his move, I feel like I've ripped Hamburg off. He's got a temperamental personality and he is incredibly inconsistent. Not only did we receive a record transfer fee, we also received a national record transfer fee, beating the sale of Chai Cox from Śląsk Wrocław to Everton by almost £5M. It shows you that we can make a lot of money and that we should be able to keep our best players over time. Speaking of our previous record sale, Hoffenheim signed Marek Sawicki for £8M, meaning that Dortmund made a loss of £3.75M on him. Which is rather funny. Still, we should talk about what matches we have had before the transfer deadline day, and one could say that we've had a successful start to the season. While we lost the Superpuchar Polski final for the 2nd time, we have been very successful elsewhere. Even if we did suffer a shock Europa League elimination at the hands of Neuchâtel Xamax, we won the rest of our games in all competitions. What this does mean is that we're currently top of the table with 6 wins out of 6, which is our best ever start to a league campaign. How long do I think it will last? I'm hoping it will last for a while, but with the Europa Conference League and the defence of our Puchar Polski crown, we might run into some trouble as we attempt to win our 3rd Ekstraklasa title. As for the Europa Conference League, we've been handed a rather kind draw with only Lyon and Rapid Wien being games I'm expecting us to struggle in. In my mind we should be challenging for a top 8 finish in the league phase of the Europa Conference League. JLAB's YAC with Motor Lublin Part 35
  7. Motor Lublin - Season 11 - Preview Going into our 11th season at Motor Lublin, I felt that winning the cup last season was going to give us the platform that I was hoping would allow us to win our 3rd league title in 6 seasons, and our first league title in 4 seasons. Could we finally break our duck? If we were to try and win our 3rd league title, I wouldn't be shocked if we didn't do it with Michał Jaros no longer at the club. I've somehow managed to get his transfer value up to £15M and he wants to leave the club. He has 16 other clubs after his signature, so I am hoping to get around £20M from a club to sign him. Will we get it though? Robert Kowalski finally broke the 100 league goals barrier last season and my ambition with him is for him to break the all-time record of 186 goals in the Ekstraklasa in his career at the club. It does rely on him staying with us to pull it off though. The last of the 3 major players at the club is Maksymilian Bolek, who has become our main DM at the club now. I feel that the club is now attractive enough in both reputation and ability for the players we are producing to want to stay at the club. In the Europa League qualifying rounds, we have been given a tie against Orijent 1919, and I believe we should do quite well here. If you want to have a look at all of my players, my latest video goes over almost all of the players that have made it into the squad planner that I feel will get some game time at one point or another. 8. Motor Lublin - Season 10 - Review So first things first, Tomasz Korolczuk was sold to Arsenal for £9M by the chairman, which was an almighty shame. We didn't get any clauses in the deal either, which shows just how short-sighted the chairman actually is. So we have finished our 10th season at Motor Lublin, we might have been knocked out of the Europa League by Rapid Wien, but we finally won the Puchar Polski for the very first time. Our league form was pretty healthy looking too. This was the last trophy I needed before I could claim to have won every single domestic trophy in Poland. Now, I just need to win all three of them in one season. I want to dominate Poland in the future. We did only finish in 6th place this season, but because of our cup win, we've managed to secure a place in the Europa League next season once again. Our youth intake looked like it was going to deliver some promise to us this season as well. It's one of the best we've had in a while. Smalec was the best player to come through in terms of potential ability, I wouldn't be shocked if he became part of the first team sooner rather than later. Michał Żmuda was the CB that I was promised. He has a lot of potential and will be something I have an eye to bring in the next couple of years. Mateusz Kowalski is an exciting RB, giving us yet another option to add to our growing collection. Maciej Flasza is a CM who might not fit what I am looking for immediately. I might need to train him to play as a DM. Jakub Zieliński is another exciting winger who can actually cut inside from both wings, which makes him a very useful talent already. The supporter profile has seen us gain an extra 19.3K followers, which is always a pleasant surprise. The fact that they are mostly core fans instead of fair weather fans makes it even nicer. The board does want us to develop the best youth system in the country sooner rather than later though. In the Build A Nation news, the league has dropped down a position in reputation, but we rose up 70 places in the coefficients, which was lovely stuff indeed. Poland didn't move anywhere in the coefficient standings. JLAB's YAC with Motor Lublin Part 33
  9. Motor Lublin - Season 10 - European League Matches The last two games of the Europa League's League Phase saw us only pick up a single point after losing to Ross County and then getting a surprise draw against tycoon-owned Reims. It was starting to feel like a season that was showcasing our strength in depth for the first time. We finished the Europa League's League Phase in 14th place, meaning we've avoided being eliminated at this first for the very first time. Progress has finally been made in this regards. As a result of our progression, we've been given Rapid Wien in the Knockout Playoff Round. A side that I'd like to think we can beat in this round to progress further. Unfortunately, we've also got several different clubs wanted to purchase our best player Tomasz Korolczuk. As of the time we played the Europa League games we've had 18 different clubs wanting to purchase our best player. He also wants to leave us as a result of the interest as well. As of the 4th of January, these were the clubs who were wanting to purchase our best midfielder. Somehow, I don't see us being able to keep hold of him at the end of the January transfer window. 10. It's a bug that I've seen from FM 22. I'd recommend sending a screenshot of that SI for a bug report. They'll ask for the save file as well, but there's not much you can do outside of that.
  11. Motor Lublin - Season 10 - Winter Break So after taking a few days away from the save, I've come back in an attempt to make use of a bad situation. I am honestly expecting to be sacked at some point, but whether or not we can avoid that remains to be seen. So far though, we're still in the cup and the league hasn't been a complete disaster. Though that can very easily change. We're only 7 points clear of the relegation zone, even if we're just 2 points away from European football. I refuse to accept that things can and will go well for us. The Europa League is going much better than expected. Wins against Groningen, Atalanta and Sheriff have allowed us to make sure we are all but safe from being knocked out of the Europa League, but I believe that there is still a small chance of getting into the top 8. I don't think it'll happen, but the chance is there. We did get our youth intake preview, and we're expected to get a good CB, two good CMs, a good AMC and a good winger. Hopefully this helps us replace the players that we've lost this season. That being said, we might be losing Tomasz Korolczuk, he's currently wanted by 16 different clubs. I can't even say they're small clubs either. This will be a long January transfer window. JLAB's YAC with Motor Lublin Part 31
  12. This video was created by FM Llama for The Managers Seat, who's doing a save like we are, but with no attributes. He found a way to get rid of the minimum release clause by accident after backing out of a contract talk with an agent.
  13. So there is another way to be able to get rid of padlocked minimum release clause without having the DOF start talks first. @XaW and @darren1983 Am I free to link this video that will prove useful for everyone doing the challenge?
  14. Motor Lublin - Season 10 - Transfer Disaster So today I come back far earlier than I normally would because something happened that was out of my control. We started off the season in a great way too. We managed to back Dynamo Kyiv and Galatasaray in the Champions League, before we found ourselves getting knocked out of the Champions League by Lille. We also won our first two league games, but have since gone 4 games without a win in the league now. Like I said, we've come back rather earlier, and hopefully our form recovers sooner rather than later. I don't want us to be fighting against relegation this season. In the Europa League, we have been drawn against teams that I think we should be beating. Groningen, Vojvodina, Koyaspor, Sheriff and Ross County. For the first time I had hope that we would finish in the top 24 and have a chance of progressing to the last 16 of a European competition. Until I got betrayed. Within 2 hours, the chairman sold two of my best players without my approval for £20M. I was livid at the time this happened and I couldn't believe that I would lose two of my best players, especially with one of them being sent back to me when I couldn't use him. The biggest loss will be Marek Sawicki. He got sold for £11.75M and sent back on loan to me. I will not be using him, even if I wish that I could. The last person that we sold was Kacper Cichecki for £8.25M. We didn't loan him back, but he would have been a huge help to us if we could have kept him. I was livid when this happened and was honestly very strongly considering resigning from the club in protest. However, I took 6 days away from the save, started a new save with another club and calmed down. I've decided to continue on with the save despite how angry I was at the time when this happened to me. I'll see you guys again soon. Hopefully we won't lose any players in the January transfer window, I'm not sure if I will be able to take it if we did... JLAB's YAC with Motor Lublin Part 30
  15. So that now makes it 13 countries out of the 40 playable countries that the challenge has not been completed in now.
  16. Motor Lublin - Season 10 - Preview Heading into the new season I had concerns for ourselves. We're now expected to finish around mid-table and feel like a side that our board will expect us to be doing well. Our best defender Marek Sawicki is attracting a lot of interest from around Europe. I will try my best to keep hold of him, but I don't think I can trust my board not to do anything stupid with any potential offers. I've already lost some players due to the board accepting bids over my head in the past. Jaros is our 2nd best player and Sawicki's CB partner. While he is extremely inconsistent, I know that he can do well on his day. The last player that is considered a top-3 player in the team, Korolczuk has become our best CM despite having a Balanced personality. I know that he will be a superstar for us in the future. If you want to see more of our players, I've linked the video where I go over the squad down below. JLAB's YAC with Motor Lublin Part 29
  17. A look around the world So not really an update for my progress, but for a look around the playable leagues and how that's been going. Belgium has seen a variety of winners in the first 10 seasons of the save. 5 different teams have won the Jupiler Pro League with Genk winning it on 3 different occasions being the most. The Czech's Fortuna Liga has had less different winners, but while Slavia Prague have won 6 league titles, FK Třinec caused a shock by finishing in 2nd randomly one season. The Premier League has been shared by Liverpool and Man City. Both teams have won the league 5 times each. PSG may have dominated the last 5 years, but they took 3 seasons to win the first season, with Monaco beating them both times. Marseille also claimed a Ligue 1 title, but PSG have claimed 7 overall. Bayern München are doing Bayern München things. They've won 9 Bundesligas in 10 seasons, with RB Leipzig in the 2nd season being the only team to have stopped them. Italy has had 3 different winners in Juventus, Milan and Inter so far. Juventus might have taken 5 Serie A titles, but they haven't had it all their way so far. The Slovak Fortuna Liga has seen 3 different winners so far, but Slovan Bratislava have claimed the most titles with 5 so far. La Liga is the Real Madrid and Barcelona show. Real Madrid have won 7 of the last 10 La Liga titles. While the FavBet Liha in Ukraine has seen Shakhtar and Dynamo Kyiv share the titles so far, with Shakhtar having won 7 out of the last 10 titles. I went into more detail of the last ten seasons for each country and the winners of the Champions, Europa League, Europa Conference Leagues, the Euros and World Cups in the video that will be linked below. 18. Motor Lublin - Season 9 - Season Review Heading into the winter break, we had a 9 point lead at the top of the table. I didn't think that anything could stop us from winning the title this season. Yet we've endured perhaps the worst run of form I have ever seen from us after the winter break, and I felt myself at a loss as to why we were doing this badly. Only winning 4 out of the last 15 matches is simply not good enough. So it should have come as much of a surprise to me when we found ourselves failing to win the title. Yet, the fact we only finished 2nd is more of a shock to me than anything else. We should have fallen from lower than that. Still, we've bottled a 9 point lead and failed to win the title. It's not ideal for my confidence in the side. We at least had a decent youth intake, so let's cover that briefly. The most exciting player was Kamil, he's already made some experiences in the first team on from the bench every now and again. Jan doesn't look amazing and is really inconsistent, but he has great potential. Wiktor has great potential as a goalkeeper, but once again is inconsistent. While my favourite player is Tadej Likar, mostly because he is both Slovenian and Polish. He has good potential and has some decent attributes at the beginning of his career. The board still loves me, so despite losing out on my 3rd Ekstraklasa in 4 seasons on the final day of the season, we're still only expected to finish mid-table next season. The board are even more pessimistic, as they only want to attempt to avoid relegation. They've seen how we've ended the season and think we're going down next season. Marek Sawicki got 23rd place in the NXGN awards and is in the Media Dream Eleven. So he's doing well with his development. More Build A Nation related news now, as the Ekstraklasa gained a place in the competition rankings list, but Poland slipped down 2 places in the coefficients. It's not ideal in that regards. JLAB's YAC with Motor Lublin Part 27
  19. @darren1983 Found that you can save on 11th June to get new teams for Spain.
  20. Motor Lublin - Season 9 - Winter Break This season, I signed a new Head of Youth Development in the form of José Cruz from UE Olot because I felt that he was a massive upgrade on my previous Head of Youth Development. The fact he's only got a National B Licence was appealing as well. The only problem is the fact that I can't convince him to go on a coaching course. Still, early days things have been rather promising. We did get knocked out of the Puchar Polski 3rd round by Lechia, but other than that and a slow month in October, things have been going rather well. Things are going so well in fact, that we currently have a 9 point gap at the top of the table going into the winter break, with 15 games left in the season. If I don't win the title from here, is it a bottle job? We also got a reasonable youth intake preview, and one that I am hoping will make us better in the areas that have been highlighted. The CBs and GKs feels like the weakest areas of the club right now. Also, randomly we formed a link with Real Betis, which was not what I was expecting at the beginning of the season, but that's happened as a result of the board forming the link. We also formed a partnership with Varaždin as well, so that's another country now added to the list of affiliates we currently have at the club. JLAB's YAC with Motor Lublin Part 26
  21. Motor Lublin - Season 9 - Preview Despite our two league titles in the last three seasons, we are still only expected to finish in 13th place in the league. It's still progress that we're no longer expected to finish bottom, but it is still rather frustrating. Still, we start the season with state of the art training facilities at the beginning of the season for the first time, so I am hoping that our young talent will massively benefit from having the best facilities possible. Our best player at the club is Marek Sawicki, he's become one of those players that I want to make sure we keep at the club for the long-term. I feel like he could lead the team to glory in the future. Robert Kowalski is our record goalscorer and easily our best striker at the club. I believe he will be the first player to score over 100 goals for the club, and I want him to be getting over 200-300 goals for us long-term. Surprisingly, Marcel Złomańczuk is still our 3rd best player. Mostly because Mateusz Szulc and Mariusz Dąbrowski aren't at the club anymore. I would be shocked if he's still our 3rd best player by the end of the season with all of the talent coming through. If you guys wants to have a better look at the entire squad that I plan on using in the league this season, I have linked the video where I have gone over all of the players at the beginning of the 8th season. It is over 19 minutes long, but I tried to go over as many players as I could. I made a lot of signings in the backroom staff variety as well. JLAB's YAC with Motor Lublin Part 25
  22. Motor Lublin - Season 8 - Review So we had our youth intake for this season, and it was a pretty decent one in terms of quality. Michał Jaros is probably the best player in potential and current ability off the bat, but has some rather concerning problems with his personality and being extremely inconsistent. Still, we were given some nice players alongside him. Wojciech Adamczuk is a LWB who I will train to play as a LB. Sebastian Gutkowski is a RM who I will be training as a RW. While Michał Zawadzki is a goalkeeper who is a little short for the role. He's the first Sweeper Keeper on Attack I've ever had on default though. Sometimes, things don't go your way in the league though. After coming back from the Champions League, we won 5 games in a row, but then lost 5 games in a row. We did win 4 of the last 5 matches, but how badly did losing 5 of the last 15 matches do for our season? It actually meant that we've missed out on European football after winning the league for 2 straight seasons. That's not ideal to say the least. We lost some Social Media followers, but they only want me to attempt to avoid relegation. The board are more ambitious and want us to not only finish mid-table, but to develop the best youth system in the country. We finished improving our training facilities meaning that something special has happened. We now have State of the art training facilities, and the only thing that needs to be improved to have completely maxed out our facilities are our youth facilities. I 100% believe that the club's reputation is linked with improving the youth facilities, as shown by the fact that some people in this forum were able to ask for one after the won the Champions League. I got named the second favourite for the Lyon job, thanks but no thanks. I also confirmed affiliate links with both Slavia Sofia and Olimpija Lublana so we can tinker the links so we can get youth intake prospect arriving in our future intakes. Like I did here with Steaua. Two players that we produced ended up on the NXGN list again, but they are no longer playing for us. Mateusz Szulc and Mariusz Dąbrowski are enjoying their time abroad it seems. We also managed to make improvements in the Build A Nation aspects of the save, with Poland gaining a place in the coefficients and the Ekstraklasa gaining a place in the competition rankings, meaning that the league is now considered a 3.5 star reputation league. JLAB's YAC with Motor Lublin Part 24
  23. Motor Lublin - Season 8 - European Deciders So today is another European decider update, I want to be able to stay in the Champions League by finishing in 24th or above in the League Phase. We lost 4-0 to Arsenal, but we did get a draw against Atlético de Madrid, so we didn't get destroyed. We did kind of need a win though. In the end, we missed out on getting into the top 24th by 3 places and 2 points. If we had beaten Atlético de Madrid for the 2nd time in 2 seasons, we would have qualified due to results between teams and knock out either Atlético de Madrid or Benfica. Makes me wonder who would have gone out there. Also, in more concerning news, Bayern München brought our best player Szulc for his £2.5M minimum release clause. He didn't want to talk about a new deal and I tried to negotiate a sell on clause with Bayern, but they got sick on my negotiating and just went for the release clause instead. I'm more surprise they didn't just hit it to begin with. As I'm sure you can understand why, he's a big loss to the team. Also, my other former wonderkid (I'm calling him that, not the game) is on loan at Ipswich Town, so he's getting some minutes, which is nice. JLAB's YAC with Motor Lublin Part 23
  24. @darren1983 Found you can save as late as the 28th May to find a new option in Mexico.
  25. Motor Lublin - Season 8 - Winter Break The new season has started, but we found ourselves losing in the Superpuchar Polski final for the first time ever to Pogoń Szczecin who won the cup and finished 2nd last season. I was hoping that this wouldn't be an issue for us. However, despite our questionable form in the league, we managed to beat Celtic home and away in the Champions League playoff, meaning that we would be in the League Phase for the very first time. Our opponents were going to be hard though. With the likes of Man City, Barcelona, Benfica, Arsenal and Atlético de Madrid expected to be games we'd lose. Still, we'll try our best to progress and do well. We did after all, make £12.75M for making the league phase of the Champions League. Still, perhaps it's the Champions League causing us problems or the scheduling being a nightmare for us this season, this has not been a good season for us compared to the last two seasons. Still, we've managed to shock Benfica in the Champions League and pick up another 4 points with a draw at Groningen and a win against Kristansund. The month of October was a horrible month though. Pogoń Szczecin knocking us out of the Puchar Polski was not ideal either. Still, as things stand we currently sit in 7th place. Given that after 7 matches we had just 6 points and were at one point in the relegation zone, I'll take that. The Champions League sees us in 25th place with holders Arsenal and Atlético de Madrid still to play. We could shock a lot of people if we managed to secure a top 24 spot, but I don't see that happening somehow. We managed to improve our facilities so they are now considered good enough to be Superb now, which means that we are currently just 1 upgrade away from getting State of the Art training facilities. Which is what we are currently working on, so this season will see us having State of the Art training facilities for the very first time. We've also managed to get a partnership with a former Champions League winning side in the form of Steaua București, as we start to expand our affiliate link reach for the very first time as the manager of Motor Lublin. The plan is to tinker this affiliate deal so I can make it where we get sent youth prospects from their academy in our future intakes, but that'll be something for the future. Speaking of our youth intake, things look promising once again. We're expected to get 8 players of high potential, so hopefully, this actually lives up to its billing and isn't just going to lie to me once again. That would be a shame if it did.
