I picked this team because they randomly have a 15500 capacity stadium in the 4th tier of sweden??? lol should be fun. (Also having 2 gray stars in youth recruitment should at least mean it doesn't get bugged on lvl 1)

I'm starting this challenge over. Looks like my Brora Rangers save won't get fixed.

Forgot to do first season recap. 6th in league, lost in playoffs, 1st round FA cup. In October 2nd season currently in 3rd.

Decided to have some fun with this challenge, although not following the rules 100%
I vacationed 22 years into the future so the game was all regens, and picked the least accomplished promoted team. Found St Neots Town.
They had one season in the National North about 9 years previous in the game, but has spent most the time below that. (I'm not really sure why it didn't keep track of 21-37....now that i look at it)

I will likely come back to this save if I get an email back about my save being bugged or if I see something about it fixed in patch notes.
Doing the similar save but in England taking a newly promoted lvl 6 team over. I got Nuneaton Boro.
But hey, we got a Scottish Premiership trophy. Can't take that away, but I do not want to push into trying to win Europe with a broken Youth Recruitment.

I did the same challenge on these forums, although it was non - england clubs, took a newly promoted 4th tier scottish team to champions league group stage
Although, my save was bugged, and youth recruitment was perma stuck on lvl 1 even with good or excellent facilities everywhere else, it looks like Nuneaton is lvl 3 so hopefully not broken.

Anyone know of a way to change your club culture? I've not seen any way when signing a new contract or a season expectations.

Same thing happened to me, board seems happy renting out Ross County's stadium for our Euro matches.
I'm thinking of asking the board for a new stadium now we made a champions league group stage and have about 20 million in the bank. After this season though, my reputation might get another half star.

2031 Brora Mid Season Update
Didn't embarass ourselves in the Champions League, 3 draws (almost beat Porto once, they leveled in the 94th)
I've been leading the league most of the season, but lost top to some poor form, but Scotland now is a 3 team league!!
Drew a Belgian team i've never heard of in the Europa Knockouts

I have a Fulham save also I'm playing around with. First season is fun, so much better than the rest of the championship.

Naya was one of those lucky signings that just happened to really work out. Alot of headed goals from corners when those were really OP. Free signing from Argentina that has scored 131 goals for me. He's kind of pissed at me right now as I tried to sell him for 8million last window. (In the last 12 months he has started to regress a little, tried to cash in)

I decided to stay in Scotland because I actually got a good intake lol. So it made me happy
Going into the last game of the season, your telling me there's a chance for #2, and Champions league. (Rangers have collapsed, I don't know how I'm ahead of them with that goal differnce either, you'd think they'd be closer to Celtic than me)
Finally the work is paying off, some good potential youngsters. Maybe youth recruitment means we don't get a lot of prospects but the ones we do get we can make good.

Does anyone know how you give loan players to your affiliate? Is it just offering them to clubs and searching for their name as a target?

I ended up making a ticket with SI about my youth recruitment woes/possible bug.
I'm bummed about it. I don't know whether to just stick with the save and see if maybe I make the champions league if that fixes, ended up spending $8 on the editor to fix it, but I set up the save to not be changed with the editor, so this sucks.
I think I'm going to create a save in Hungary/Austria/Poland with the same rules in case I decide to abandon the save. Maybe not take a job if it has the lowest possible youth recruitment to avoid bug?
Again, how can I now have good/above average facilities everywhere but no youth recruitment

Worth a shot, I've been loaning out youngsters from South America to Portugal trying to get work permits for them, so maybe getting a affilate would be nice for that. And finding their youngsters
Although a problem I've found it these youngsters aren't going to find time in the highest leagues in the top 7 leagues, so they are playing in the lower leagues, I don't think that helps their work permit chances, but I'm trying.
I mean, it has to be a bug, why do this but keep youth recruitment at the lowest possible level? It was also suggested to try and get in the club vision to 'sign and develop youngsters for the first team." maybe that will work next year if I can get that in the vision.

I believe it is a bug, I did some research into it and in FM21 alot of people got stuck at level 1 (including Zealands Oriental Dragon save), it was suggested to improve it by one level in the editor to unbreak it. But I don't have an editor for this one, and I'm pretty sure I set it up to be unable to be fixed that way...there's no reason the board would give nothing for that. When they spend millions improving youth facilities.
Someone said if you come from certain areas it can be really hard to improve (Brora is extremely northern scotland) maybe it's coded into the game that area has poor recruitment no matter what.
I've also read it could be tied to finances and reputation. My finances are secure tho, and my reputation is 2.5 stars, national. We will see if those improve what I can get. If it's really bugged that's a huge bummer as one of my favorite parts of a save is getting good youth systems and bringing up my own players

Brora Rangers 28/29
Improvement! 3rd place this year (one better than last year). Europa league qualification, one better than last year. Only a couple points off Celtic and champions league qualification.
Board let us improve some facilities. I worry our Youth recruitment is bugged as we have the absolute worst and the board will never improve it.
Made the 2nd knockout round in Euro Cup II. Beaten by Sevilla. (we thumped PSV in knockout round 1)
Overall pretty happy this year, cemented in the top half of the premiership and the team is slowly improving. Actually seeing some of these players improve...Actually have a couple players worth in the 10 Million range.

I do agree after playing half a season this might be an easier challenge than my previous one. The 4th tier seems pretty easy once I brought in some decent players. We will see how it goes once I get to 3rd or maybe 2nd tier if it gets alot harder for me.
