Bundesliga - Results 1 Results 2 League Table
After the way we started the season, I was convinced we could win the title but I was wrong. Our form dipped towards the end and 2 wins from our last 8 league games meant we only finished 3rd.
DFB Pokal - Results
A good run to the final and then another final defeat, I think this is the 4th or 5th of the challenge so far and I am guessing it wont be the last.
Champions League/Europa League - CL Results EL Results
A poor group stage showing meant we went into the Europa League and exited that in the Quarter Finals.

Playing Squad
You will see I spent a fortune this season but it was needed. The team was full of average players who were getting into their 30s and were never going to be good enough for a title challenge. Another busy summer is expected ahead as we want to be challenging on all fronts next season. 3 star men this year were:

POST 41: Over and Out
Back for another shot at winning this cup final.
Had a really dramatic semi final in the other cup though. We were 2-1 down after 50 minutes, and when pushing for an equaliser, conceded again with just 2 minutes left. Pulled one goal back in the 92nd minute, and won a penalty in the 96th. But we missed it.......and then scored the rebound! The game went straight to penalties, and we won that, to make the final.
Where we once again lost to Sporting.
Once again we finished the league behind Benfica and Porto, and although the gaps were quite large, we were also 11 points ahead of Sporting.
Thankfully we weren't up against Sporting in the cup final, just the small task of dominant Benfica instead. We started really well and had the better chances.
Although we only won on penalties (FM giving me one last minute of torture), we were the better side and did deserve the win.
And that is #32!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Disappointed that don't also end the save as #1 in the HOF, but Allegri had a long dominant spell at Man City, and Nagelsmann is still in charge of Bayern.
Will play on through World Cup 2046 with Mexico as we qualified for that, but will be retiring after that.

New Job
I was planning on waiting a while before taking a new club job but Zidane resigned to take the France job after the World Cup and I applied just curious of the budgets etc. When I saw the transfer budget was £268m I was sold. And on 29/07/2038 we was appointment manager.
We have wasted no time in spending a big chunk of the money either, raiding old club Atletico for 3 players as well as signing a couple of others. Ironically I didn't sign Parra, but he is my old RB from Feyenoord which means along with N'goran, Ca and the 3 signings from Atletico, we have 6 players in the Squad I have managed previously. I have a couple more deals lined up also and am hopeful of given Bayern a run for their money. We faced them just 4 days after being hired in the DFL - Supercup and it was a tight 1-1 draw even though we had 10 men for almost a full half. We lost on penalties but its given me hope for the season ahead.

World Cup 2038
Group Stage
SpoilerDrawn in Group B alongside Columbia and Algeria it could have been a tricky time. The 1-0 win over Columbia was a tight game that we edged but the Algeria game proved easy as we thumped them 5-1.
Second Round
SpoilerIn the 2nd round we faced Australia and we went in confident and rolled them over 5-0.
Third Round
SpoilerIn the 3rd round we faced China surprisingly, who had just beaten Germany 1-0 in the last round. They proved just as stubborn as we needed ET to see them off 2-1.
Quarter Finals
SpoilerIn the last 8 we faced Chile who we played and beat 1-0 in a warm up game a few weeks back. This time it was a much easier game as we struggled to miss when presented a chance and romped home 7-1.
Semi Finals
SpoilerIn the last 4 we faced a fantastic France side and I thought this is where we would come unstuck. A messy 1-1 draw after 90 mins meant extra time and we just about edged it 2-1 to get to the final.
Final
SpoilerIn the final we faced Spain. I know all about the depth and quality of this side and couldn't believe it when we went 2-0 up on the stroke of half time. The second half was a completely different affair as we just stopped playing and faced a bombardment of Spanish attacks which we couldn't cope with. A 84th min strike by Pedri put them 3-2 up and sealed it for Spain. A gutting way to lose a World Cup final but the FA's aim was the last 8 so we wont be getting sacked and I am more than happy come back in 4 years time and try again.
I wont be walking away from England any time soon. Its the end of an era as far as Bellingham, Saka, James's generation etc are concerned and with some really good young players coming through its time to start building a new squad for the next Euros in 2 years time. Club wise I have applied for the Monaco job. They aint PSG but only finished 3 points behind them this season and won the title last season so clearly possess a talented side I could maybe challenge with. I may just hold back for 6 months though and see what happens. Psg still have Poch in charge and Bayern still have Nagelsmann in charge which is crazy when you consider its been 17 years in game. My current plan is to finish the challenge in England with my beloved Charlton Athletic so the only 3 places in really looking for a job are Germany, Italy and France atm.

Competitions
La Liga - League Table Results 1 Results 2
We finally done it. Real Madrid have been an absolute nightmare for me. Last season they nicked the title on the final day but this season we went into game 38 level on points again. The difference was we had the head 2 head advantage and just needed a win to seal the title. In the end they only managed a draw and we romped home to finally seal the league title. It was a tough season with Barcelona being the pace setters and remaining unbeaten for 27 games before tailing off. We had a wobble at the end of November/start of December but managed to pull through.
Copa Del Rey - Results
A easy run until the final where we faced Real Madrid again. But this time we had the edge and managed to win 2-1.
Champions League - Results
Another great run to the final but we fell short for the 2nd season in a row. 1-1 after ET the game went to penalties and we were awful to put it simply.
Suppercoppa - Results
Club World Cup - Results
This technically was last season but we didn't win it. The timing is weird with players unfit or on international duty but someone has to win it still.
Playing Squad
The squad is class, great players mixed with fantastic youngsters and has the potential to dominate for years to come. Key men this season were:
Nicolas Mionnet (AMC) - Signed 3 seasons ago for £28m he has really grown into a star. Was at his creative best this season with 8 goals and 20 assists in 40 starts.
Angel Angulo (ST) - The young Spaniard is going to be an absolute beast in a few seasons. Has been back up to our main striker but always does his job. 18 goals in 24 starts this season.
Jose Sanchez (RW) - The Columbian right winger is so important. You will see he only started 22 games this season because he broke his leg on the opening day. As soon as he was back to fitness he was in the side and 9 goals and 10 assists shows how good he is.
Next Season
I am walking away from Spain. The league and cup double is in the bag and I would just be staying to try and win the Champions League. I am hoping a big job comes up so I can get a couple easy titles. (Bayern and Psg) would be ideal as my last 2 clubs I've chose to compete against dominant sides and a easy season or 2 would be nice,
I have the 2038 World Cup this summer with England and I am hoping to really give that a good go as we have a seriously talented squad packed with world class players. I will do a separate update for that and also will add my hall of fame players into this post soon.
Hall Of Fame
Cape Town Spurs
Ibrahim N'Goran (AML) - was only with us for one season before moving on, but what a season it was. He was the main man as we managed to win a first DSTV Prem title.
Romuald Traore (AMR) - Another player who I managed for just the one season. But with N'Goran moving on, he made up for the goals and assists loss to lead us to a league and Champions League double.
Brandon Peterson (GK) - Signed on a free at the start of our first season in the Prem, he went on to make 144 appearances in total and was a mainstay as we conquered Africa.
Neil Zondi 22a (ST) - Part of first youth intake, he went on to become our main goal threat. He scored 63 goals in 93 games in all competitions.
Tigres UANL
Aldair Benitez (CM) - Only been in charge of him 6 months but this kid can go on to be something very special. Will look to resign him at some point in the future.
Dejan Joveljic (ST) - Was here when I arrived and has been sensational up top. 37 goals in 36 games meant he was a key part of our treble winning team.
William Ramos (AMC) - The American was one of our first signings at the club. 9 goals and 20 assists in 52 games doesn't justify just how important he was to us.
Miguel Rodriguez (CB) - Another player who was only with us 6 months. But the big centre back deserves his place, an average rating of 8.09 and 10 goals from 21 games is superb returns.
Guangzhou
Ibrahim N'goran (AML) - He was sensational for me at Cape Town and he has been on another planet ever since bringing him to Guangzhou. 85 goals alongside 69 assists in just 76 games is unreal.
Zhan Zhiqiang (ST) - Another player who's goal return has been spectacular. Signed for 1.8m the Chinese striker has hit 92 goals in 78 games.
Lee Tae-Suk (LB) - Wing backs are a vital part of my tactical system and the South Korean has played the role to perfection. 40 games and 17 assists is a nice return.
Neil Vargas (CB) - The American CB was one of the first players I signed as when I took over the side had no quality in defence at all. Alongside Tae-Suk, Vargas has been a major part of a defence that has broken records. we conceded 8 goals in 34 league games last season and at one point kept 14 consecutive shut outs with Vargas playing a key role.
Corinthians
Tafael (AMR) - Was a key player from the day I arrived, Scoring 60 and getting 34 assists in 92 games.
Jose Campos (RB) - The 16 year old played over 40 games for me and was brilliant.
Cristiano Moraes (ST) - Signed at the start of the second season for £6.25m he proved an absolute steal as he scored 44 goals in 60 games.
Feyenoord
Marko Culum (ST) - The striker was at the club when I arrived and instantly became a key player notching 99 goals and 20 assists in 115 games.
Mohamed Amine Belhajjam (GK - The GK was signed from Ajax just days after I arrived and proved a solid foundation of the teams progress. He averaged a clean sheet every other game over 3 seasons playing 98 missing just 4.
Ruben Mesquita (CB) - Was at the club when I arrived and proved to be a class act at CB or CM. Almost left after my first season but I managed to convince him to stay and he has been happy since.
Louis Hughes (AMC) - Another player who was at the club when I arrived and has been sensational for me. Has filled in at AMR and ST when needed and always done a solid job.
Atletico Madrid
Djoukalou Fofana (CB - The Spanish Centre back has been a mainstay of my time in charge. In my 3 full seasons he started 98 league games and averaged a 7.75 over them games, and also chipped in with 31 goals.
Daniele Greco (GK) - The American GK has been another mainstay of my side. Only missed 4 league games of my time in charge and I could make a highlight reel of some of the saves me makes.
Gabriel Munoz (CM) - Another player who was her when I arrived. He was part of 4 players on over £500k a week at the time and he was the only one I didnt get rid of. Proved a good decision as he has been excellent year on year.
Mauro Sanchez (ST) - The Mexican striker was the only one of these 4 I signed and he proved an absolute hit in Spain. 96 league goals from 120 games.

@BigJackAnother gutting end to the season, (along with @Skills finishing runner up in everything earlier).
As I'm currently reading your post to try to de-stress from my own pointy end of the season end (albeit in a different challenge), you're not really helping.
When I last did this challenge, I won the league every single season for the last 15 or so seasons (apart from when I took over clubs mid-season). That was probably a year and a half ago, and now i come to think of it, that might be the last time I won a top division title.
Hopefully something that's going to change in the next 10 or so minutes.
Frustrating is an under statement. I went 4-0 and thought "job done" they cant be 7 up. Looked, and it was 8-0. In my younger days i cant promise my laptop would have survived but you just have to laugh.
Fingers crossed your run comes to an end or already has. 🤞🤞

We led the table for the majority of the season and going into the last game were top, level on points with Madrid but with a +2 goal difference advantage. We won our game 4-0 they won theirs 11-0, YES 11-0 in a result that needs looking into by the authorities. Even so we have had a great season that has shown how much the team has progressed.
Copa Del Ray - Results
A Semi Final exit to Vallecano was a major disappointment.
Supercopa - Results
The only one that doesn't matter and yep, we won it.
Champions League - Results
A great run to the final where we led 1-0 in the 88th minute and ended up losing 2-1 AET just to add to our season of coming so close.
Playing Squad
2 and a half years after joining we now possess a very talented team with some youngsters who look like they are going to be world class players. Top boys this season were:
Djoukalou Fofana (CB) - The centre back has gone from strength to strength since we joined is a major force is our back line. 8 goals and an average rating of 7.64 from 43 starts.
Jose Sanchez (RW) - The Columbian winger is a superstar. 11 goals and 25 assists in 38 starts this season.
Sascha Ahrenstedt (LW) - Its been a breakout season for the young Greek winger who is looking like he is ready to play a major part for us next season.
Next Season.
I have agreed a one year extension with the club due to my contract being up this summer. We have the Club World Cup in June and I havent competed in that yet in this save. and I feel that we are so close to ending Reals dominance and can have another good crack at the Champions League next season also.

New Job
I have landed a new role on the international stage. Ranked 6th in the world, England were knocked out of this summers Euros in the 2nd round by Turkey and therefore sacked the manager. I still need a Euros and a World cup win so this job gives me the chance of a crack at both. We have a Nations League group stage this Autumn/Winter consisting of Holland, Croatia and Israel. Holland are ranked as the 2nd best side in the world so that will be a tough 2 games and a real test of where we are. With 2 years until the next World Cup and the F.A not seeing the Nations League as important, I have a good amount of time to shape a squad.

The aim this season was to secure a top 4 finish so to be in with a chance of winning the title going into the final day was a massive achievement. We did out part but Real Madrid thumped Villareal 6-1 on the final day to seal their 11th title in a row.
Copa Del Rey - Results
Another run to the semi finals where we faced Real Madrid and they was just too good for us.
Europa League - Results
I really wanted to win this and thought we had a great chance. To lose to RB Leipzig was a real disappointment.
Playing Squad
We have built a brilliant side here who are only going to get better. I have bought in some really talented youngsters over the past season and a half and if they can keep developing, I think this side is capable of going onto great things. Key men this season were:
Djoukalou Fofana (CB) - The CB has been nothing short of sensational this season. Immense at the back and chipped in with 13 goals this season.
Mauro Sanchez (ST) - The Mexican had a brilliant season. He missed 2 months with injury but still managed 44 goals in 35 starts.
Jose Sanchez (RW) - We had him at Feyenoord and when I saw he was available it was a no brainer. An absolute baller and he managed 8 goals and 29 assists in 35 starts.
I also want to show you this kid:
Jaoquin Badia (CB) - Has to be one of the best 16 year olds I have seen on any edition of FM.
Next Season
I think we have a great chance of winning something next season. For all of Madrids dominance their key men are all coming to the back ends of their careers and will have to slow down eventually. We have a year remaining on our contract and are still on the lookout for an international job.

We took over with the club sitting 10th after 13 games and you can see from the results just how bad the side was playing. It took some time to implement my playing style and the January window played a big part in turning the clubs fortunes around. In the end we finished 5th, missing out on 4th place on the last day as Villareal won their game to seal 4th.
Copa Del Ray - Results
A decent run to the semi finals where we just lost out to Barcelona over the 2 legs.
Europa Conference League - Results
A competition we won when in charge of Feyenoord and we managed to win it again with a second club. Atletico should not be competing in this and we proved too strong for every side we faced. The final was our toughest tie against Fiorentina but a nervy 1-0 win sealed us the cup.
Playing Squad
I took over a very unbalanced team and after a busy winter transfer window the side is now starting to take shape. I still have a few players I want to move on and areas of the team I would like to improve. A busy summer ahead awaits us.
Next Season
Improvements are needed as we are still a long way behind 10 in a row winners Real Madrid. We tried to go toe to toe with them on matchday 36 as we were bang in form, only to get hammered 6-0 and this maybe cost us 4th place. But with some new signings I am hopeful of a top 4 finish next season at the very least.

AFC Asian Cup 2035
Group Stages
Drawn in Group F alongside Saudi Arabia, UAE and Australia expectations were that we eased our way through the group. First up was UAE who we beat 2-0 but it should have been more. Our second game was against Saudi Arabia who we also beat 2-0. Our last game was against Australia and we rested our first 11 and suffered a 2-0 loss.
2nd Round
SpoilerIn the 2nd round we met Japan. And I thought this would have been a tougher game but we eased through 3-0.
Quarter Final
SpoilerIn the Quarter Finals we met Iraq. And I thought this was an easy tie but they put in a brilliant defensive performance to keep the game at 0-0 after 90 mins. Our quality proved just too much though eventually as we ran out 3-0 AET.
Semi Final
SpoilerIn what really should have been the final we faced Australia. After they beat my 2nd side in the group stages I knew this would be tough. 0-0 after 120 mins we held our nerve to win a shootout and seal a final spot.
Final
SpoilerThe final was against Iran. They are a team with some poor players but they have also produced some really good regens so this was going to be a tough game. With our last 2 games going to ET my squad was suffering and it showed as we grinded to a 1-1 draw after 90 mins even though they had a man sent off after 35 mins. The extra man showed in ET though as we went 2-1 up and held on to seal the Asian Cup.
What Next?
SpoilerAfter a successful World Cup campaign in 2034 and our Asian Cup triumph I will be stepping down from my role as South Korea boss. I have 3 international competitions to win still, The Euros, The Copa America and The World Cup. Ideally the Euros and World Cup will be with England. England won the 2028 Euros but are still yet to win a 2nd World Cup.

New Job
Having left Feyenoord on 15/05/2034 I had to wait until 19/11/2034 for my next role. Stepping into replace Diego Simeone is going to be no easy task. I take over with the club sitting in 10th in La Liga. As far as the leagues history goes, city rivals Real Madrid are clearly the dominant force. They have won 13 of the last 14 league titles including the last 9. I thought overthrowing Ajax was a challenge and it appears this will be even tougher.

World Cup 2034
Group Stage
Paired against Paraguay and Serbia, both ties proved as difficult as they looked on paper. A 2-2 draw with Paraguay was followed by a 1-1 draw with Serbia. The draws were enough to see us through courtesy of Serbia beating Paraguay 2-1.
2nd Round
SpoilerDrawn against Costa Rica. We played them 17 days ago in a friendly where we ran out 3-1 winners. This time it was a closer game but we edged it 1-0
3rd Round
SpoilerDrawn against Spain and having gone 1 round further than asked, we went into the game just happy to be here. To go through on penalties was unexpected. 0-0 after 120 mins the lottery of a penalty shootout went out way.
Quarter Finals
SpoilerDrawn against USA and after our heroics against Spain I fancied our chances. We was beaten 2-0 and deservedly so as we were 2nd best all over the park.
Semi Finals
SpoilerGermany vs Brazil 4-1.
USA vs Mexico 0-0 Mexico win on Pens.
Final
SpoilerGermany 1-0 Mexico
What Next?
Having now left my role at Feyenoord I am on the look out for a new club job. At international level we have the 2035 Asian Games in 6 months time so that will be the main focus whilst hoping a good club role pops up.

The real aim this year and although it was up and down, we finally managed to break Ajax's stranglehold on the title and seal a first title in 17 years for the club. We actually finished on 1 point less than last season when we was runners up but Ajax's team is starting to age and they dropped more points this year again. A win at home in matchday 31 was vital as they sat 2 points above us going into that game and we clung on to seal a 1-0 home win. 3 winnable games remained and we didn't disappoint.
UEFA Champions League - Group Results
We had a tough group with Chelsea, Napoli and Young Boys. A big opening win against Young Boys before a brilliant win over Napoli had us in a strong position after 2 games. The 2 losses to Chelsea followed but they were a lot closer than last seasons games which shows the progress made. After 4 games we was tied on 6 points with Napoli and a draw with them then meant we needed to beat Young boys which we did. A tie against PSG awaited us and they was just too strong over the 2 legs as we exited 4-2.
Toto KNVB Beker - Results
No importance to me this season having won this 2 years ago. Played rotated sides and somehow beat Ajax and then lost to Utrecht.
Johan Cruuf Schaal - Result
The season opener was a disappointment. No real value to winning this other than bragging rights so played a young side in prep for the Super cup game 3 days later and we got spanked.
UEFA Super Cup - Result
A reward for last seasons Europa League success and we managed to beat English giants Man City.
Playing Squad
This is my favourite squad so far and one I genuinely feel with another season or 2 could potentially go on and win the Champions League. The team is stacked with young talent in almost every position. My 3 key men this season were:
Jose Sanchez (RW) - The Columbian winger is a sensational player and has really improved this season. He started the season a bit slowly again but when in full flow he is impossible to stop. 12 goals and 6 assists in 36 starts this season.
Alexis Aguilar (LW) - The Mexican winger is part of my front three and they are a joy to watch. He didn't score until January and does need to work on that side of his game but 4 goals and 17 assists is a decent return in 40 starts.
Marko Culum (ST) - I asked for more from him after last season and he has stepped up. 40 goals and 4 assists in 35 starts is a fantastic return.

With a league title and Cup win now in the bag, I am going to start looking to the big 5 leagues now. I dont really want to walk away from this team as the potential is unreal here. But the challenge takes priority. My contract is up this summer anyway so it will be easy to leave. I also have a World Cup with S Korea this summer, the aim is to get to the 2nd round and with a group including Serbia and Paraguay this is no certainty even though we are in fine form and with the Asian Cup next season, I cant afford to lose my job there.

In the end we just didn't have enough quality to topple Ajax. We battled away and going into matchday 31, in a massive game against Ajax sat 1 point clear of them in 1st. But we couldn't get a result and the 1-0 loss followed by a loss in the Rotterdam derby a week later sealed our fate. Its still been a great season as we cut the gap between us and Ajax by 14 points.
UEFA Champions League - Results Group Stage
The wins against Sporting in the qualifiers and a dream start against Nice had me dreaming before we was thumped back down to earth by Chelsea and then Milan. To then turn around and return the favour to Milan was a brilliant show of this sides potential. We couldn't get over the line though as we ended the group in 3rd and qualified for the Europa League.
UEFA Europa League - Results
After our Champions League elimination, I fancied our chances of a good run in this competition. I didn't think we would go on and win it though. Fantastic wins over Dortmund, Napoli and Benfica before an all Dutch final against AZ.
Toto KNVB Beker - Results
I basically threw the final even with no guarantees the first 11 would have won anyway. The final was just 3 days before the meeting with Ajax mentioned in the league write up so I played the 2nd 11 and we got thumped before losing the league game anyway.
Johan Cruuf Schaal - Result
Started the season with a good win in the opener.
Playing Squad
We made a few improvements in the summer and winter windows and even though we didn't win the league, I am very excited about the squads potential. Key men this season were
Ruben Mesquita (CB) - I am amazed he is still at the club. Bayern and PSG tried all last summer to sign him but were not willing to pay my asking price. He has since signed a new deal and had a excellent season in the heart of the defence.
Marko Culum (ST) - Another good season from the striker but I am a little bit disappointed with him. He missed a lot of chances this season and I need him to step it up next season as if we had a 30 goal striker we stand a huge chance of nicking the title of Ajax.
Jose Sanchez (RW) - He didn't start the season well and struggled to settle. But come January something changed and he was unplayable at times. Really looking forward to seeing just how good he can be.
Next Season
Although we failed to topple Ajax I have really enjoyed this season and have no intentions of walking away and giving up. The team has some really exciting talents and I do think with 1 or 2 right signings this summer, Ajax's 15 year run as champions will be in real danger next season. Winning the Europa league has also seen us go straight into the group stages of the Champions League and if we can get a decent group, I am hopeful we can progress further than this season. My contract has 1 more season here also so I will see that out at the very least.
My time in charge of South Korea has been par for the course so far. I took over on 20/06/2032 replacing Paolo Bento who left to take over Australia. 7 games in and 7 wins later and qualification for the 2034 World Cup is in the bag. Our Group in qualifying is as straight forward as it can be so I need to sort some friendlies against decent opposition to see what the team is really capable off.

New International Job.
I have managed to land my 3rd international role of the challenge. Taking over as manager of South Korea. With a World Cup in 2 years and the Asian Cup 3 years away I have a nice amount of time to build my squad ahead of the competitions. Winners of the last 2 Asian Cups, and with some really good talent and youngsters coming through, I am hopeful of making it 3 when the tournament finally comes around.

Feyenoord 2031/32
Having stepped down as manager of Mexico following a successful Gold Cup, I was instantly on the lookout for my first job in Europe. There was a couple of big roles available but I decided against the big 5 leagues just yet and wanted to try get the spare title and cup somewhere beforehand. I opted for the Feyenoord job. I fancied a challenge and having seen Ajax had won 13 titles on the spin, I was sold on the job. Appointed in late July, I had a few weeks to shape the team before the season kicked off.

A solid season ended with us finishing in 2nd place behind Ajax who sealed their 14th consecutive title comfortably. We finished 19 points behind them as they failed to lose a single game.
Toto Knvb beker - Results
A kind run to the final where we faced domestic giants Ajax, and we put in a superb performance to win the trophy after a 3-2 win.
Europa Conference League - Results 1 Results 2
I fancied our chances in this, and even though it doesn't count towards the challenge it is still a nice little competition to win. We made light work of most sides but ended up incredibly lucky in the final. 3-2 down in the 94th minute we managed to grab an equaliser and force ET. ET was a nervy affair and we managed to pop up with a winner with the last kick of the game.
Playing Squad
We have built a really good side and one that definitely got stronger as the season went on. Star men this season were
Marko Culum (ST) - Has been our talisman this season and bagged 32 goals and 12 assists in 40 appearances.
Gjivai Zechiel (CM) - Has been inspirational in the middle of the park. Dominating games and proving a real creating source with 18 assists this season.
Van Axel Dongan (AML) - I was actually going to sacrifice him when I arrived for funds but I am glad I didnt. He has been excellent this season chipping in with 19 goals and 16 assists in 46 games.
Next Season
Although we face a real struggle to wrestle the league away from Ajax, I am really enjoying the challenge. We are in the Champions League preliminary rounds next season and I am hoping to get to the group stages at the very least. With a couple of improvements to the playing team over the summer, I am hopeful we can push on and give Ajax a real challenge next season.

Mexico - 2031 Gold Cup
Having stood down from my role at Corinthians my attentions were focused on the Gold Cup with Mexico. We went into the tournament with hopes of wrestling the title back from a very strong USA team.
The Group Stages were pretty straight forward minus the disappointing draw against Honduras, although I did rest 10 of my starting 11 for that tie as we was already through.
Quater Final
SpoilerIn the QF we were up against El Salvador and managed a comfortable 3-1 win which could and should have been a cricket scores as we failed to put away numerous chances.
Semi Final (if applicable)
SpoilerIn the SF we were drawn against Jamaica and I made the bold choice of playing a rotated side as the final was 3 days away and I knew I would need as fit a team as possible for that tie. It worked a treat as we thumped Jamaica 4-0.
Final (if applicable)
SpoilerThe final was against The USA. They have won 4 of the last 5 competitions and possess a really good team. It was a tight game and I would be lying if I said we were the better side as they carved out the better opportunities and hit the woodwork 3 times. We managed to nick a 1-0 lead from a corner in the 77th minute and I went full defensive mode for the remainder of the game. It was the correct choice as we sealed Mexico's first Gold Cup in 6 attempts.
Next Season.
I am currently on the lookout for a new club job but currently there are no jobs that really interest me. As far as Mexico are concerned I am leaning towards resigning asap. The next World Cup is 3 years away and I have no real interest in staying here as realistically we are not going to win that.

Does anyone know if the issue with the national teams under18s/under19s has been fixed yet? I noticed on fm21 and on my current save that after a few years the San Marino under19s only play friendlies. Not a clue if this has an effect on the DYR etc.

With Brazilian sides generally dominating this competition I knew we had a good chance and this proved correct as we sealed the title against Atletico Minerio with a 2-1 win in the final.

After last seasons title challenge I knew we wasn't too far from the sides above us. I lost 2 of last seasons key men before the season started but this meant we had a decent budget to bring in reinforcements. £48m pound later and I felt I had a squad that should challenge. 1 win from our first 6 games led to a tactical shuffle and we never looked back, as we lost just 1 of our remaining 32 league games to seal the title by 14 points.
Playing Squad
The team here is something really special and I will be amazed if the majority of them are not playing for some of the big boys in Europe in the very near future. The majority of the side have already attracted interest or bids from the usual suspects and its only a matter of time before the squad gets ripped apart sadly. My 3 key men this season were:
Tafael (AMR) - Has been my key player since arriving and had a sensational season this year. He bagged 38 goals and 24 assists in 54 games. He has been attracting interest from Man City and PSG and although has stuck around so far, I can see him moving on very soon.
Cristiano Moraes (ST) - Signed at the start of the season for £6.25m he has proved an absolute steal as he scored 44 goals in 60 games.
Aldair Benitez (MC/AMC) - I signed him for Tigres when in charge there and bought him here with me and he has been brilliant. Played as a CM in our 424 formation or as an AMC when we lined up in a 4231 and performs both roles really well regardless. Another player who will be heading to Europe very soon.
I also have to mention the following 2 youngsters who should go on to be world class players:
Jose Campos (RB) - The 16 year old has played in 40 games for us this season and has been brilliant. Looking forward to following his career as the save progresses.
Marinho (AMC/ST) - The young forward has had a brilliant season as my 3rd choice striker. 10 goals and 10 assists in 13 starts is a fantastic return. I keep a shortlist containing ex players I like to keep an eye on Shortlist 1 / Shortlist 2 and all 5 of these along with numerous others will be added.
Next Season
South American club football is now complete so I have refused to sign a new contract here and will be leaving on 30/12/2030 when this runs out. I need 6 more top leagues and FA Cups with 5 of these being the big 5 in Europe. I'm not sure whether I will head to one of the big 5 just yet or take a job elsewhere. It all depends what comes up and when.
International wise I have finally landed my 2nd role in charge of Mexico. The next Gold Cup is next year but Mexico haven't won any of the last 5 editions with The USA winning 4 and Canada winning 1 so it wont be as easy as previous FMs. We are ranked 21st in the FIFA rankings and do have some world class talent to work with though, and I am optimistic regarding our chances. We have played 6 friendlies since taking over with 4 wins and 2 draws.

I took over in June with the club sat 9th in the league. Sitting 11 points of top with 3 games in hand. We managed to start on fire and topped the league for 2 months. Then we had a bad patch of form and dropped points in vital games against the sides around us, and this proved our undoing as we settled for 3rd.
- Copa Do Brazil
Lost in the semi finals to Palmerias
Squad
The squad is a decent standard but improvements are definitely needed ahead of next season. The likes of PSG, United and Real Madrid are sniffing around a few of our players so I am hoping to receive some at least one decent fee to fund some squad improvements. The best 3 players this season were
Almir De Castro (ST) - He has been brilliant this season. I prefer a striker with better finishing but he managed to bag 35 goals in all competitions so I can hardly grumble.
Tafael (RW) - He was unhappy when I arrived due to not getting regular football and I dont see how he was left out by the previous manager. Scored 22 and set up 10 in 38 starts.
Giovanni Reyes (CB) - Has been brilliant this season for me, although he is currently unhappy due to me not accepting £10m bids. Will more than likely move him on if I can get a decent fee for him.
Next Season
Having ended the season trophyless for the first time in a while, I am actually enjoying what is a much more challenging league. We have the basis of a good squad and with a few improvements can hopefully challenge for the title again next season. We have also qualified for the Copa Liberatores so I am hoping we can challenge for that also. I have 1 season remaining on my contract but am open to extending that if we dont win what we need this coming season.

New Job
Having decided to stay put after basically breaking Asian football, I stayed with Guangzhou whilst keeping my eyes open for any appealing roles. My eyes were firmly on South America and when the Corinthians job became available, I instantly applied. Currently sat 9th in the league but with a few games in hand, the board have given me the target of qualifying for the Copa Libertadores, which requires a top 7 finish. We are still in the Brazilian FA Cup but have already been knocked out of the Copa Sudamericana.
I have inherited a decent squad, but one that is lacking defensively. A budget of 6m is not amazing but I will use this season to fine tune my team and scout some new signings and hopefully build a squad capable of challenging for honours over the next few seasons.
Hall of Fame
Upon leaving each club I manage I will select the players I think had the most influence on my success for a hall of fame.
Cape Town
9 goals and 20 assists in 52 games doesnt justify just how important he was to us.

What a season we have had here. I knew we would be very strong after a summer of signing some really good players and after getting off to a brilliant start we just kept going as we won all 34 leagues games. I think its the first time I've managed such a thing on any FM. We broke so many Records, both team and individual wise.
Chinese FA Cup - Results
There was no stopping us as we romped home. We did have a scare in the QF and needed extra time to progress but minus that it was plain sailing.
Asian Champions League - Results
Our third continental title of the save was relatively easy, although after the 1-0 loss in the group stages I did worry the standard may well be a lot better than we were facing domestically. It didnt turn out that was as we were too strong for all our opponents and sealed a brilliant treble.
Playing Squad
The team has proved a real handful with some really good homegrown players and some even better foreign stars. The stars of this season are:
Ibrahim N'Goran (AML) - Most likely the greatest individual season I have ever had from one of my players. I signed him for Cape Town Spurs before bringing him to China and he has been simply sensational. 97 goal involvements in 43 starts along with 30 man of the match awards.
Neil Vargas (CB) - A real handful in both boxes, he has been brilliant again this season. Part of a defence that kept 30 clean sheets over this season.
Zhan Zhiqiang (ST) - He compliments N'goran so well and managed 51 goals in 45 starts. He was the Champions League top scorer with 13 in 11.
Next Season
I have won everything needed domestically in Asia but my struggles to get an International role have me questioning if the fact I've resigned from 4 out of the 5 jobs I have held is causing me an issue. I am thinking to stay on and look for a new job before stepping down.

Took over on 12/7/27 with the team sat in 6th, and after some major work in the transfer market started to get a decent tune out of the players. When taking over, I was given the aim of finishing 3rd which we managed pretty comfortably. Beijing Guoan won a domestic double and were relentless towards the end of the season. Managed by Slaven Bilic they have a good side and I can see next season being a real battle.
CFA Cup - Result
This was before I took over.
Playing Squad
The new signings have made a massive difference, I took over an awful squad and the team still needs some work. The defence is nowhere near good enough and with 5 new signings confirmed including 4 defenders, I am hoping we can mount a challenge for honours next season. 7 of the starting 11 you see above were signed by me in July and have done pretty well. The 3 stand outs were
Zhan Zhiqiang - 19 goals in 15 league games. If he can carry that form into next season we will do very well.
Ibrahim N'goran - 6 goals and 10 assists in 14 league games. He is a little baller and only going to improve.
Neil Vargas - Not the most aggressive of centre backs but he has been class. An average rating of 8.26 over 15 league games says it all.
Next Season
Obviously leaving here is not on the agenda for now. I have a year left on my contract, and have high hopes for next season. Still no luck on the international front job wise though.

I knew we had the quality to challenge again but it looked like it was not going to be our year as RB Leipzig flew out of the traps as just kept going. It wasn't until the final 7 or 8 games they started to drop points and we ended up sealing the title with 2 games spare.
DFB Pokal - Results
Given a pretty easy run up until the semi against Hertha who are a decent side. We faced Leipzig in the final and ran out comfortable winners to seal a double.
Champions League - Results
After last season's poor showing and group stage exit I was desperate to do well this season. We got through a difficult group stage before facing holders Man City in the last 16. A first leg win wasn't enough as they rescued the tie in the 2nd leg.
Playing Squad
Squad Transfers
We have built a really good side here and I like it as much as my previous 2 sides (Atletico and Feyernoord). Its another side packed with players who have room to improve complemented by some experienced heads. Key men this season were:
Jesper Andrell (AML) - The Swede is a legendary figure in the game. I first signed him for Tigres years ago and he moved on to Man City and then Barcelona, winning 2 Balon d'ors and 2 Fifa mens best player awards along the way. When he came available for just 11m I couldnt say no, especially as we lost N'Goran in the summer and he was a direct replacement. He contributed an impressive 26 goals and 18 assists in 36 starts.
Nicolas Lopez (CB) - A Rolls Royce of a centre back he has been outstanding for the 2 season I have been in charge.
Joseph Mohammed (ST) - Led the line well and looks like he could be a real goal threat if he keeps on improving.
Next Season
I am torn with what to do after our double winning season. I have got the 2 trophies needed in Germany but with a year left on my contract and no real appealing roles open, I may just stay for the last year and have a crack at the Champions League. I have Euro 2040 this summer with England so a good role in Italy or France may appear after the usual International merry go round after a summer tourney.
