Greetings, great thread. Nice of you all to help. I'm not really concerned that my desktop won't run the game, just curious your thoughts on how well it will run. Just purchased this system and haven't had it delivered yet. My last system was okay but struggled running more than 5 leagues playable at a time. Great read. Sort of off topic but I was messing around with the idea of doing a low level England save but have never downloaded any of those databases. I found one that seems to be well accepted but then decided that I was going to go the route of also downloading an Irish one and a Scottish one, but now reading this I'm not so sure that's very smart. Do you know if that's a real issue where the databases don't play well together? I really don't want to get into like my 4th attempt at doing a save and have another one blow up in my face.

Why you gotta be so mean to Notts? I'm beginning to think it's some bad karma. I can't complete a save with them and in every thread I follow someone else is knocking them out of tournaments. And most likely they're going to end up in 2nd place irl and have a playoff fight to gain promotion. Poor Notts.

The amount of detail and time put into each post is ridiculous - in a good way. It's only taken me about a month to read through this, but it's been exceptional. I'm here trying to find my way and you're running circles around the smaller leagues. Between you and Punch, your commitment is exceptional.

Not to hijack the thread but I think that's my main problem. I sit down with the intention of writing a diary because that's truly what I want to do. And then I sit there for hours between the writing and doing charts to track players and then realize I've not even spent 15 minutes in game. Then I feel bad because it feels like I'm not progressing, so I change up what I'm doing then get upset again because I've gone off course. I'm a mess. Regardless finding a happy medium is my next goal. Which, as you said, may only be doing "quarterly" updates and just hitting on the things that need to be talked about, rather than month by month when nothing spectacular may have happened. You are wonderfully in depth though with your writings, it keeps it fun.

It took me a few days to read through all this with my limited time available lately and the incredible depth in your writing, which is incredible. I don't think I have the patience for it when doing my saves although I fancy myself a decent writer, I just get lost in all the detail with FM and get sidetracked. I hope to incorporate more in my next save whenever I work out all the details and try to make sense of it. This is an exceptional read however.

Excellent read. I've always had an affinity toward Scottish Football with the Celtics being one of my favorite clubs in the world.

Excellent save idea. Island life suits you. Great youth intake and so close this season already. I had very little knowledge of the Channel Islands but it looks like a wonderful place as well. I found a nice house right on the sea there for just over 10 million pounds. Seems reasonable.
