  1. Iraqi NT in 44-45 Qualified comfortably for the World Cup Reached the Arab Cup SF before losing to eventual champions Saudi
  2. Saudi Arabia seems to want distract me from my project, but I am not deterred
  3. Where are they now A collection of a players from my time in both clubs and how they got on, there are many that have retired by now, but many players have gone on to have long careers in Europe or elsewhere I put them as a spoiler so the page loads easier, you can view their career stats in the bottom left corner
  4. End of an Era After 14 seasons at Karbala, I have resigned from my position In that time I took them from a relegation battling side, to the best team in Asia. I won 10 Premier League titles, including 9 in a row 7 Super Cups Three FA Cups Two historic Champions League triumphs The save hasn't been as enjoyable since we won our second CL title, as I have been simming the entire season save for the CL games. Now is the time for a new challange
  5. 2044-45 season Two in, two out. RB A.Ahmed Joins Saudi club Al Faisaly, and young Left Winger Zaid Mahmoud Joins Qatari club Al Ahli for 400K Iranian Vahid Shahsvari Joins to bolster the RB position, and 19 year old ST Alvaro Marquez Joins from the Spanish second division It was a terrible season by our standards, we barely won the league, having trailed Naft Al Wasat all season long before a late collapse from them handed us the title We were knocked out of the Asian CL on Goal difference, while all three Iraqi clubs actually made it out of the groups! A huge step forward that we messed up by not qualifying We were also knocked out of the FA Cup round of 32 by Al Shorta, it seems our FA Cup curse is well and truly back No change on the facility front, still no chance to upgrade the youth facilities. As you can see by the numbers, it was not a good season for us, Constant injury and morale issues meant that our top goalscorer had 22, the joint lowest in 10 years, and the the highest assist total was only 9. POTY goes to Brou for some crucial goals Attendance figures seems to have slowed down with only 300 more people on average coming to watch us
  6. 2043-44 Season Only one signing was made this summer, Right Back Jawad was brought back to the club for 675K after a decade in Qatar. Thai DM Thongsaead was sold for 1.6 Mil to Al Ittihad, being the only sale. We reached a point where we don't need any money so we don't sell our players, and we can't attract anyone better Carbon copy of last season, League title, QF in the CL, and the FA Cup Al Jawiya had a brilliant season, they pushed us to the limit in the league and reached the Round of 16 of the CL, it's been a few years since another team made it out of the groups The coefficient pushes us to a new high of 3rd place. We still can't get the option to upgrade youth facilities Brou ridiculous season earns him POTY deservedly
  7. Iraq NT in 42-43 The team did well in their first full season under Emad Mohammed, they reached the SF of both the Asian Cup and the Arab Cup. UAE won both tournaments
  8. Thanks. I plan on staying with Karbalaa until I get the coefficient up significantly to hopefully stay strong once I do leave. When I left Samara'a the coeffeciant was in free fall and its taken me almost 10 season to get it back where it was.
  9. 2042-43 Season Moving to Just one post per season We made a number of sales, David Lake (ST) Was sold for 4 Million to Al Sadd, he was a good player who we made a quick profit on after one season Bamo Hachem (CB) is a longtime servant of the club who left for the Saudi League Abbas Karim (GK) Our captain left for a staggering 7Mil, it was a **** off price that the Al Gharafa matched Diaara (ST) A young player who spent the past couple of seasons on loan, we made around 1.5 million profit on him Barkov (RW) was sold to Guangzhou in the winter after about 4 years and various loan moves, we bought him for 475K a few years ago, one of the biggest flops of this save Jamal (GK) is a 22-year-old third-choice GK who for some reason caught the eyes of Portuguese club Arouca. I sold him for 100K just for the novelty Results League winners, Cup QF, and CL SF Al Ittihad returned to their former glory and smashed us en route to a record-extending 10th CL victory Thankfully, Nuno Santos has ended his two-decade stay at the club, hopefully, they start to become weaker Al Shorta won the FA Cup End-of-season review We return to 5th in the coefficient, Poty goes to Hichri, 19 Assists and 25 goals overshadow Brou's brilliant season Another 1K increase in attendance, the way things are going we will have the stadium packed in another 22 years
  10. Notable Transfers Some new additions made to the list Ala'a Abdul Hussein retired so we lose out on his clause Zoughi moved to Naft Al Wasat and we get 175K for his transfer
  11. End-of-Season Review Our youth facility is up to 3/5, no other changes Naji is POTY after another great season from him Our attendance goes up by 1,000 people
  12. Iraqi NT In 2041-2042 We qualified for the World Cup after beating Syria and Uzbekistan We reached the round of 16 of the Arab Cup before losing to Morocco We get sacked ..... It was quite a shock, after x years in charge of Iraq that I get the sack over a loss against a superior team but in fairness we have stagnated over the past 4 years It was disappointing to not have another go at the World Cup. Samara'a manager Emad Mohammed took over and was eliminated from the World Cup with two defeats. Switzerland!! won the World Cup, beating Mexico in the final As Iraq Manager, we won Two West Asian Championships. Four Gulf Cups, One Arab Cup Reached the SF of the Asian Cup, and we reached the QF of the World Cup
  13. Oct - July I've decided to eliminate the mid-season review We win the Premier League once again We are eliminated in the FA Cup round of 16 on pens We won the Asian CL for the 2nd time in a row, this team beating Melbourne victory after we beat their rivals Melbourne city last year We get one Elite talent in the Youth Intake We also spent 7 Million on buying out a stadium that was owned by the government No transfer movement in the winter
  14. July to October Some major sales were made We could no longer hold on to Diop, and after two dozen offers, Bayern Leverkusen got their man for 25 Million Euros Al Sadd brought back Mubarak to Qatar for 3.5 Million and added Mo Nasr for 4 Mil Sami Ahmed also went to Qatar for 1.1 Mil Alain Pierre went to Al Wahda of UAE for 1.2 Mil We brought in Luc Brou, a striker that we will keep for the future Thongsaead is a Thai midfielder who can play anywhere centrally, he will be our Asian foreigner for the CL David Lake is a 28-year-old Welshmen brought in on a free-to-play striker, we're hoping for a quick flip on him We also finally got the chance to upgrade our youth facilities Not going to bother with the pre-season review as we are top in everything
  15. End-of-Season Review No change on the facility front Our CL heroics push us to a 3-star reputation! Our NT Coeffeciant and Ranking continue to drop Diop is POTY after a fantastic season Avg attendance increase by about 500 people
  16. Iraqi NT in 2040-2041 Following on from our win in the WAFF last season, we won the Gulf Cup of Nations for the 7th time We failed to qualify directly for the World Cup, so we will have to go through another round of qualifiers against Syria and Uzbekistan
  17. Iraqi Clubs in 2040-41 Al Kahraba returned to the PL, joined by first-timers Al Shoulla We won the domestic double Iraqi clubs in Asia in 40-41 We won the Asian CL!!!! Naft Al Wasat beat Saudi Side Al Fateh to join us, Al Jawiya and Samara'a in the GS Unfortunately, neither of them did enough to escape the groups Despite our historic performances, we fell down two places in the coefficient to 7th place We lose one of ur GS spots to the playoffs, and our playoff spot to an earlier round of qualifiers
  18. March - July A historic stretch of the season as we win a historic treble We won the Asian Champions League We won the Iraqi Premier League by six points over Naft Al Wasat We then beat them for the FA Cup We also took part in the CWC for the first time ever. A 6-1 drubbing by Real Madrid followed by a close defeat against Flamengo River Plate caused the Upset and won the Club World Cup We get two Elite talent in the Youth Intake, including a player that is already good enough to start for us at DM
  19. Asian Champions League 2040-2041 Group Stage We were definitely in this year's "Group of Death" and we finally vanquished our demons as we beat the team that has tormented Asia home and away and knocked Ittihad out of the GS. We beat whipping boys Muhrraq twice as well. We failed to beat Al-Ain, with one draw and one loss, however, we still finished first in the group and qualified to the round of 16 Knockout Stage In the round of 16, we faced against Qatari side Al Gharafa, A 2-0 win at home followed by a 1-1 draw in Doha was enough to see us through to the QF. A rematch with Al-Ain was set, we lost the first match 2-1, but a very strong second-leg performance saw us win 4-2 and move on to the SF. There we met with Saudi Side Al-Shbab, Despite them not winning the CL, they have been dominating in the Saudi league, winning six league titles since the save started. However, they were easily brushed aside, A 3-1 win at home, and a 4-2 win away saw us reach our first final in a comfortable fashion In the final, we met Australian side Melbourne Victory. We took a 1-0 lead in the first leg and headed to Australia, where we went 2-0 down inside the first half Our boys rallied through, and we managed to get away with a 3-3 draw and win our first ever Champions League trophy!
  20. Oct-March Another routine first half of the season We are through to the QF of the CL after topping our group and beating Al Gharafa in the round of 16 We will face Al Ain who have knocked us a few times at this stage We are top of the Premier League but it still looks like a good fight to be had this season We sign Tunisian Hichri (22 AM) for 1.5M
  21. Notable Transfers Also with colours! We lose out on the clause for Abdul-Ridha as he was sold for a loss to another Portuguese team Diaara was sold to West Ham, where he immediately became one of the best players in the Prem. We got 1.4Mil from that sale We activated Ngoma's clause for a 1.1Mil. He is doing over there but in that league most teams hold on to their players if they are performing well We also lost out on the clause for Gjoni who was sold for a loss to a Saudi club. I have no idea why Leverkusen gave up on him so soon as he was playing a lot of matches for them
  22. July - Oct A quite summer, we only sold one major player, Jamal Kareem, to Plymouth for a nice 3.5mil We also managed to loan players for the first time, to of our foreign CB headed to the Portuguese league We top the season preview, salary spend, and sponserships
  23. End-of-Season Review Now with some colours! We finally hit the coveted 2.5 stars. We got our first 5/5 facility in Iraq, unfortunately, we stopped getting the option to upgrade Youth facilities Abdullah Mubarak gets POTY for his great performances Our attendance numbers is starting to increase quicker, 500 new fans in the Karbala stadium
  24. Iraqi NT in 2039-2040 We cruise to the World Cup qualifier's final round We got demolished in the Arab Cup QF by Morocco, Egypt won the tournament for the second time We beat Saudi in the final of the WAFF Championship Our NT is declining, we haven't had a player breakout in the past few years and the current team is starting to decline or stagnate There is also a lack of quality players being born abroad We maintain 22nd spot on the world
  25. Iraqi Clubs in 2039-40 A straight swap in the league this season, both promoted teams go down, and both relegated teams come back up We won the domestic double Iraqi clubs in Asia in 39-40 The FM bugs have finally smiled upon us and gave us our full allocation this season Samara'a managed to beat Al Wakrah to qualify to the GS, but their journey ended there Naft Al Wasat finished as one of the best runner ups, but lost in the round of 16 to x We remain 5th in the coefficient. Next season we will have 3 teams in the GS and one in the playoffs
