  1. Is development here still ongoing? If so I'll probably wait with trying it (part of me still praying for Austria D5 at this point, even though probably no more than D3 should be expected at this point)
  2. Can confirm, they tortured us Thank you for that confirmation! I can't wait to get everything to work and run it in tandem with my own custom database!
  3. Do you have any other leagues selected to be simulated either as playable or as view-only? I'm having a similar issue with one of my databases - if I simulate ONLY the leagues of that nation, it runs fine and didn't crash in a 5 season simulation. As soon as I put the leagues of another nation in the equation by simulating them as well, I consistently get a crash in early September.
  4. Honestly, it's a bit of a tragedy how it feels like with every single update this year the editor got worse to work with and started throwing up new issues.
  5. So I am in the midst of improving and completing the revamp of my European Super League database. (UCL, EL, ECL are disabled for now because they throw up a fuss). Now, I don't actually think I've done a whole lot apart from adding price money to leagues that didn't have it before since my last test run, the file still verifies perfectly fine in the PGE, but running it in the actual game now sees it consistently crashing, it seems on 13th or 14th of september. This hasn't happened before and I cannot quite put my finger on the reason since most leagues had price money before, when it didn't crash, already. I'll try to take it back, but if any of you have an idea, experience with this or are just a lot more well versed with the game than I am, I kindly ask you to please help me out. Thank you in advance! Edit: I'll share what I've been able to find out so far, maybe it either helps us save the mystery or it helps others with similar problems: - The crash on 14th of December occured when the 2nd round of the EU Trophy started; Team used while testing was FC Vaduz. - Running the same, unaltered database without any other leagues simulated did NOT cause any crashes; Team used while testing was Pisa; however, season 23/24 just doesn't take place in the league (it does for the cups, though), the leagues only happen in 24/25 again. The Developmental League C groups & the Youth League B & C groups, funnily enough, do not happen in the first season, then happen in the second when no other leagues of the system do, then don't happen again in 2024/25 but are scheduled to happen in 2025/2026 again. -> checking on that showed that those have the wrong date ranges set, so I'll fix those first -> setting correct dates for those competitions fixed the issue of leagues only happening bi-anually. - Now checking again while having leagues of other nations (England, Germany) enabled to see if that caused the crashing. - Confirmation, the crash happens when leagues of other nations are enabled, it does not happen when only ESL Leagues are enabled. Any idea what might be the matter here? AR 23.4. MRCX ESL verified.fmf
  6. Is there a way to entirely copy and paste all of the settings for a certain division? Because I'd like to have the same Stages, Fixture Times, Stadium Rules, Ranking Rules and so on for like a dozen divisions, so that would be a real timesaver. I am doing this in Advanced Rules, so that's where I'd need it.
  7. Basically what the title says. For a custom savefile I made several updates ago and have been playing ever since, I tried adding a new manager to a team in the last tier, which was set as playable. When trying to do so, all tiers apart from - for whatever reason - the second tier were greyed out, meaning I could not add a manager to them. Note that this includes 4 tiers I have already played in during that very same career. Anyone else experienced the same issue? My best bet right now is that despite the savefile existing before the the updates, they messed it up.
  8. This error seems to show up a lot since the recent update. I had it myself in a database, but always with the same team, so I figured it was due to fixture constraints - essentially that a team has two games set to be played on the same day, resulting in them not being able to field a squad for one of them. Now if you haven't changed anything apart from the limit for foreign players, perhaps there's either another issue OR like so many times it's the editor messing up when going into advanced rules because some settings don't get transferred properly. Maybe a workaround can be to set more potential matchdays, leaving more valid options for fixtures to be postponed to. Unfortunately I'm not the most knowledgeable in that regard, but perhaps I or someone else can help out if you post your file.
  9. The easiest way would be to just remove those players from Arsenal entirely, which is way quicker than editing all their attributes one by one until they are bad enough. Bulk-editing is possible, but you're essentially turning all players into copies of each other that way, which probably isn't what you want. I put together a little database that might be for your needs: I edited Arsenal's reputation and finances to resemble those of a better Vanarama National Team, put them into the Vanarama National (and filled up the rest of the leagues by just promoting one team from the lower league to keep some realism). I removed all of Arsenal's players and staff, including youth players. I did allow the youth teams to stay in their respective divisions, though. I did also allow them to keep their stadium, although I did reduce ticket prices to match/just slightly surpass VNL level. Facilities were set to roughly match those of Vanarama National League Teams. If you load up that database, my recommendation is that you untick "Do not Add Key Staff" and to tick "Add Players to Playable Teams". This will ensure that would will get some staff as well as generated players at Arsenal, and those happen to roughly match Vanarama National Players (Potential usually matches decently well, they might be a bit worse in terms of ability). I also made it so Arsenal wouldn't play in the Europa League. I thought that was the more interesting way to go about it rather than just swap the squads of Arsenal and Boreham Wood and put Boreham into the PL instead. Arsenal in Vanarama.fmf Hope this one does it for you.
  10. It seems the error has got something to do with "League Settings" -> "Matches From Other Stage" -> "Extra League Games". Now the problem here comes in the form of promotions and relegations. Because if I untick "Extra League Games", I verify the issue with "too many games" just fine by the look of it, but the relegation between the two divisions with groups throws up an error. I've been able to conclude previously, that that error can be fixed by ticking "Extra League Games", adding a line and doing nothing with it (it essentially just says "Stage 0" then). So that's a bit of a pickle - anyone experienced that issue or has any idea how to fix it apart from me completely revamping and changing the league structure? (The issue is that going from groups to outright subdivisions might throw up a similar issue, but that's what I'll have to try if no one has any idea.
  11. I have the same issue, really, despite not directly messing with the competitions. It may have to do with an additional nation in Europe, but I fail to see the logic behind this. But I think that's the thing we have in common - or it's messed up when switching to advanced rules to begin with. For me, I made I custom nation in Europe by bringing Ireland pre-1922 back to life. Got the error message that the CL found 77 teams but only needed 76 from rankings - I looked into the registered teams (also because I wanted to replace the exact teams), and by default there are 78 teams registered. Taking one out and only having 77 registered (even though it's one less than by default) was enough to get rid of that error, but afterwards the one posted here followed - stage 3 of the Europa League only finding 11 team when it needs 32 teams. Registered teams by default are 21 - which happens to be the difference, although that may be coincidential since the issue only shows up in stage 3. Edit: And mind you, this issue is showing up on a database entirely built after the 23.4. update as well.
  12. So, I have created 3 youth tiers within my database, and upon verification was confronted with this issue: Does anyone have an idea or could look into my file to fix this? The league in question contains 80 teams but is set to be split in 4 groups with 2 rounds each, meaning each team plays 38 games - which is also the number of games I've set in the setting. I have trouble locating where the issue lies and what makes them play more games. It's always a different U19 team showing up when I test the file, so I guess this is a matter that either affects all teams or one that occurs when they get drawn into some competition (even though that shouldn't be stage 0 anymore). Any help is much appreciated! AR 23.4. MRCX European Super League European Club Comps deleted.fmf I think it probably has something to do with the groups. Because the EYL Division A, which is above this league and only a regular league with 20 teams, verified without any issues.
  13. What exactly is that part? Just the part from <record id="continental_rule_group"> (or whatever rule you have in your file) onwards until the belonging /record? Or everything from <list id="verf"> until the AE part starts with <list id="files>?
  14. Thank you very much for the heads up! My only concern is that when loading up your database, some entries are listed as <Record not found> - but I will give it a try! Although perhaps there will come a time when I just try xml-merge my Super Leagues together once I'm happy with them and then either see if I can adapt or build a much simpler, less elegant, more rudimentary version of what you did because that's probably the most I could accomplish. Let's see how far I'll get, even just sorting out the issues with my revamped super leagues is a bit of a hassle recently because new errors keep showing up and with the little activity in this forum that means a lot of trial and error for me until I eventually figure out how to circumvent them. Edit: And may I see, very nice choice of team you've got.
  15. Hello everyone! In one of my databases, I decided to include a big league with 180 teams at the bottom of the system. Now that league is supposed to be played in a group system, meaning 9 groups with 20 teams each. (so not subdivisions, but actual groups) I would like to have each of the 9 group winners play a promotion playoff against the bottom 9 teams of the league above. So one group winner plays two legs against the 20th, winner goes to/stays in the upper league, loser goes to/stays in the lower league. Another group winner plays the 19th, another one the 18th and so on. What's the best way to go about this via AR? On a sidenote: How do I tell the game that B-teams and main teams cannot play in the same division or that B teams in general cannot be promoted beyond a certain division level? (and that their promotion spot therefore goes to the next eligible team if they would either be promoted into a league without B teams or into a league where their main team plays) And while already on the topic of that division - I just got the following error: Under Ranking Info, I have set the following: So basically just a normal table, position 0 to 19 - so no idea where the 84 expected teams are coming from and why this doesn't line up. Edit: So in case anyone has the same problem: The issue here seems to have lied in the Ranking Level Info. Even though what I had set there previously didn't add up to 84, once it did add up to 180 the error was gone. This means, in my case, telling the game that there are 9 teams with rank 0 who are on top of the league, because I have 9 individual groups.
  16. Thank you very much for the swift response! Do you reckon it could work if I merge the files to get the extinct country into the base (even though it's not playable if you just load that merged file) in order to be able to set rules so your leagues have a target to draw in teams from, then load a savefile by having both that file and the original file of the extinct country in the advanced setup? Loading the two together into one savegame is no problem, but all those international club competitions (obviously) run without drawing in any teams from the league.
  17. Thank you very much for your incredible work, this is something I always wanted! Seeing how you have some expertise with this - how would you go about including the leagues of new nations created by editing extinct ones? The reason being that I have created an European Super League (former Ireland pre-1922), an South American Superleague (and boy do international competitions not like an extra nation in South America; former C.I.S) and an African Super League (former Czechoslovakia), and what I always wanted to do is have a file where I have all of those as well as the regular leagues participating in international club tournaments, just like your worldwide leagues. Since merging databases doesn't really seem to work nowadays in the editor, I would essentially have to find a way to include them while still loading each league and your work via different files into the game. Seeing how I'm nowhere near as skilled as you, ideally I'd adapt your file to accomplish this if at all possible, so I'd appreciate some insight on how to do it the best way.
  18. So, just in case anyone else has this issue again. I did a bit of testing because I encountered it again after the recent update in one of the databases I'm working on and I think I managed to pinpoint it. Deleting the reserve/youth teams before or after doesn't seem to matter that much. (but, as I'll explain below, it does matter to some extent) Essentially, what seems to cause this is B teams remaining in other leagues. This was especially prevalent with South African teams. The thing is - even if you delete their reserve team via Edit -> Reserve Teams -> Clear, the team in the database isn't (necessarily) deleted and still has to be deleted manually. This can be a bit tedious at times if the team has a different name to the parent team. For example, the reserve/developmental club of "Orlando Pirates F.C." is called "Yebo Yes United F.C.". This means if you change the nation for Orlando Pirates FC, the nation for Yebo Yes United will also be changed. If you delete the connection between them via "Edit -> Reserve Teams -> Clear", Yebo Yes United will keep that new nation, though. Now if they remain in the fourth tier of South Africa but have a wrong nation set, this error comes up while loading the game. This is also supported by the fact that the error message pops up once for ever club this applies to. In my testing, 6 former reserve clubs had another nation set but remained in their original league system - and I got the error message 6 times. My guess is that the reason why deleting all clubs - or rather "links" to those clubs - before changing the information of the parent club worked as a fix is that the severed link caused the nation of the former reserve team to NOT be changed. If you have that issue, probably the easiest way to fix it is this: - Go to "Clubs" - Search for clubs from the nation you created - Sort them by division - Look for clubs with your nation that are not in any divisions of that country but in a division of another country - Delete those clubs (depending on the league you may need to replace them) or change their nation so it aligns with the nation of their respective division again. (For all those South African clubs in the fourth league, deleting them worked just fine and didn't cause any issues)
  19. Unfortunately this was apparently created on a previous database, so loading it now does **** it up to the point where I can't work with it. I did have a similar issue recently, however, with a slightly different layout and here's what fixed it: 1.) If it is a multi-stage competition (I had league phase, split the table, then championship group and relegation group), it is of utmost importance to go to your relegation stage (and promotion/championship stage) -> League Settings -> Matches from other stage -> Check Extra League Games -> Add one line, do nothing with it 2.) I did have one league that consisted of 4 groups. So that works slightly different than yours, probably - did you create these leagues as subdivisions to a parent division, right? Anyways, with those 4 groups in 1 league, I had to set the promoted teams to 1 but minimum and maximum to 4; not quite intuitive because the league settings say "All groups" which could be interpreted as setting the total amount, but it turns out that it applies that one rule to all groups.
  20. Thank you for trying and giving it a go! I'm a bit confused as well, because setting it up exactly the same way in terms of advanced rules did work for another database of mine. So I will play around with it some more and see if I can spot any mistake I made but at this point I'm actually considering doing it from scratch again in case the editor update that happened in the midst of me creating it somehow messed it up beyond repair. Edit: Okay, so for your - or anyone's - information: I did do a number of changes: - checked dependencies under "general" (this shouldn't really do anything in regards to relegation, but it was ticked in both existing and working databases, so I added it) - fixed the ranking levels of stage 2 to look like this because they were faulty before, with "Position" matching "Current Ranking" (this is just for the record, as changing it back didn't mess with the relegation at all) - added a blank line (the information is only "stage 0" by default - keep that) under "Matches from other stage" -> "Extra League Games" (further testing showed that this seems to be the decisive change in order to get the relegation to work) With those changes, the relegation actually does verify properly.
  21. How do I block B teams from being able to advance into the first league and from playing in the same league as their first team via Advanced Rules again? I am looking at Promotion/Relegation and I'm a bit confused by the whole "Allow Teams to be promoted from lower division" and "Allow teams to be promoted into lower division". Seems like I'm setting the rules for the second league via the first league here, or am I mistaken? Anyways, I had none of them ticked because I didn't want B-Teams to be promoted that far up the ranks, but testing showed that they would get promoted.
  22. Has anyone managed to find out where the issue lies? 4 Downloads got me a bit hopeful.
  23. Yeah, it also makes the learning process a lot harder and troubleshooting is a real mess. I've build a few rather simple databases over the years and I am slightly accustomed to some advanced rules stuff, but overall I think I'm still pretty much a novice at this stuff. That complicates things further and makes progressing a lot harder. A community like this is worth a lot because there are some amazingly helpful people here, but at the end of the day it is a pretty small community and there isn't always someone to help with every problem. And if the editor "acts up" like this, it only puts more pressure on the community because obviously there are gonna be more people with issues.
  24. Yeah, kinda. I both tried merging two custom databases (so 2x nation rules) as well as a file with advanced nation rules with one with advanced rules for international competitions. Neither really worked as intended. For merging both files with nation rules - via "merge files" option in the editor - only the one from the "original" file could be edited under nation rules afterwards. The data of the other nation had clearly been merged because I could find it in the file, but I couldn't edit it there and, worse, it did not show up ingame as a selectable league. My guess is that when merging there was still some issue, but 1.) it wasn't checked for verification because that nation wasn't put as part of the advanced rules and 2.) I couldn't have fixed it therefore. When merging a nation file with one where I edited international competitions, I found a different issue. For the nation file, I did create a new nation in South America. Verification told me that the U20 South American Championship couldn't find any teams but needed teams - apparently this is a known issue that if you go into AR under these circumstances, the competition acts up even without being meddled with. Now, my logical conclusion was "fine, I'll make a separate database, fix the U20 South American Championship, merge the two and see what the next issue is". Now that didn't exactly work. The issue here is - just specifying the teams in order for the competition to actually draw in 10 teams does not register as a change to the database. Meaning when merging the two this doesn't carry over as the editor doesn't recognise it as a change to the database. So the takeaway from this one is that some changes don't register as changes and may be lost when merging. I also tried merging a more elaborate database not created by me (Worldwide Champions League) with the nation I created, but because not both of them show up under advanced rules, I cannot check for any issues that prevent the nation from showing up when I load the game.
  25. Unfortunately it still doesn't verify if I choose a start year. I can work around it by specifying every single year starting from 2023 via "Valid Years" at least, it just feels a bit clumsy to do it this way. Thank you for your response, it's very much appreciated!
