  1. Well, I don't know why those bye happen. My setup is the following: -Round 0, 16 teams, 16 teams added, 8 matches, 1 leg, stadium Host, Rankings (current, highest, lowest): Winer 4,0 & Loser 5. -Round 1, 8 teams, 4 matches, 1 leg, stadium Host, Rankings (current, highest, lowest): Winer 3,0,3 & Loser 4. -Round 2, 4 teams, 2 matches, 1 leg, stadium Host, Rankings (current, highest, lowest): Winer 1,0,1 & Loser 2,2,3, Index for Winner/Loser 4 & 3. -Round 3, 2 teams, 2 teams added, 1 match, 1 leg, stadium Host, Rankings (current, highest, lowest): Winer 2,2,2 & Loser 3,3,3, Index for Winner/Loser -1 & -1. -Round 4, 2 teams, 2 teams added, 1 match, 1 leg, stadium Host, Rankings (current, highest, lowest): Winer 0 & Loser 1. Rankings level info is like the previous image I shared. Any ideas? Thanks.
  2. Hi! For the free agent part, just search for players using "Person type is Player" as a filter in the editor, select from, I don't know, 100 or 200 at a time, click in "Edit" at the bottom right corner, go to "Club Contract" under the "Contract" tab and change their Club to "None". It will take you a good while to do all. For the registration thing for the EPL, you need to go to "Nation Rules", "Add lower divisions and cups to existing structure", select "England" and then "Convert to advance rules" under the "Rules" tab. There, you want to check "Match Rules" under "England" to find the correct one that's been used for the EPL. In this case, I think, is rule 6. Hope it helps!
  3. You mean: -2, 3, Semi Final AND below: -2, Semi Final, -3, Semi Final?
  4. Hi all. I'm working on a custom cup for the Asian nations and everything works properly except for the third place playoff. The issue is with the ranking levels, but I cannot figure out what exactly. I already tried to put the third place playoff in the rankings with Top=2, Bottom=3 but it didn't work. Here's the ranking level info for the whole comp: This is for the Semi Final and Third Place Playoff: Any help? Thanks and Merry Christmas!
  5. Hello everyone! I have a big file with a lot of changes for a couple of countries and continental rules, and I was planning to redo everything in separate files, like one for each nation and another one for the continental rules, so it's easier to manage and debug. However, when starting to do the work I noticed something. Starting from the same base file, when I do nation A structure (Top division, 2nd division, cup and supercup), each of the competitions get a Unique and Random IDs. Random ID is always different, but, if I save, close and load the base file again, to start working on the structure for nation B, the competitions I'm now creating for said country get the same Unique IDs. Does this mean that, when loading both files at the same time, one will overwrite the other? Thanks.
  6. Did you check the box for squad numbers in here: Or here:
  7. I managed to solve this! I added the competition in all the continents so now it shows up.
  8. My comps are running from Feb to Nov, I don't know if that means something. I deleted everything in the game so the dates shouldn't cause issues. I do have ranking levels for the fa cup (I'll have to add them to the continental comps too I suppose, since there will be rounds in some). What I don't get is the use of "Ranking levels info". Should I add them to drive the board's objectives and confidence or I leave it empty? I'm asking for the leagues, although I don't know if the same could apply to cups (basically the board telling you they expect you to win a continental cup or reaching the fa cup final or the domestic supercup. Thanks!
  9. I tried with the option of using the runner-up as backup but didn't work. The fix that rusty mentioned, adding a 3rd entry with "get last runner-up of comp" did the trick. Thanks!
  10. Thank you very much, I managed to solve the issues (although I'd like to the cup runner-up to qualify instead of the next in the league, but it is what it is). I found another issue, though. How can you make it so, if the league winner also wins the fa cup, the supercup does take place anyways with the league winner and another team (maybe the next in the league or the cup runner-up)? This also happens with the continental supercup. Regarding visual qualification (showing different colors in the league table showing continental spots), is this set up via the "qualification rules" box? Lastly, should I use ranking levels plus ranking level info in my league and cup, or just ranking levels (in this case, is it necessary to add highest and lowest rankings)? Thanks!
  11. The league fate action is in the league page, and it's to set up the qualifying for the best 3 teams that are not champions or haven't won the fa cup for the tier 3 cup. As for the runner-up thing, I thought it would be automatic but it's apparently not the case.
  12. Hi everyone. I'm having a bit of an issue here. I'm recreating a lot of comps from scratch, and for the most part everything works pretty fine. The problem comes when setting up the qualifying process for each of the continental cups. -For the tier 1 cup, only the league champions qualify. -For the tier 2 cup, only the fa cup champions qualify. -For the tier 3 cup, the top 3 teams from each league that didn't win the fa cup qualify. What ends up happening is that, when the league champion wins the fa cup, its place being taken up by the league runner-up, not the fa cup runner-up, for the tier 2 cup. And for the tier 3 cup, if one of those teams won the fa cup it ends up participating in more than one continental cup (tier 2 and tier 3 cups), instead of its place being taken up by the next team in the league table. I'm using "Get qualified teams for comp" with the appropiate seeding, with the "league fate action" for the tier 3 cup. This is my setup for the continental part: This is for the tier 3 cup: Any ideas? Thanks!
  13. With all due respect, I'm not asking for someone to fix it for me, I'm looking for someone who can help make sense of what is wrong and how to fix it, so I can learn. Sorry if I'm not that experienced like you. I've read everything you posted several times, and if I keep asking it's because I still have doubts. Anyways, sorry to bother you.
  14. I just copied the "Campeonato Uruguayo" competition, that follows almost the exact format, except the closing stage there is a league stage, not a group stage with playoff. So, I just use ranking levels in all of the stages and nothing for the comp? Would that affect the automatic champion thing? Thanks for the help.
  15. Here's the xml file.v44.2.xml So I should just not use rankings except for the playoff and championship playoff? Where should I use rankings then? Just at comp level? Thanks! v44.2.xml
  16. I uploaded the file. I never understood fully how the rankings work, specially what "current" refers to. That's why I'm asking for help. Don't take what I've set up as something that makes sense, because I'm having issues there (hence why I asked). Also, for more info on what I'm trying to do, check my first post. If you still don't understand then I'm happy to explain it again in detail here. Thanks! v44.2_10116C17-FF57-4752-B049-908AA4B29436.fmf
  17. The closing stage playoff loser should be ranked 3rd after everything is finished. That's one of the things I'm asking help with. The opening stage (league) produces a winner, with ranking 0. The closing stage group A and B winners go to a playoff, where the winner gets a ranking of 0 (if it's the same as the winner of the op stage, which makes the next stage to not take place) or 1. The loser should get ranking 2 (third place overall). Then, the championship winner should get ranking 0 and loser 1. Additionally, these teams should show as 1st, 2nd and 3rd for the comp in the club's overview history, and then the rest of the teams should get their finishing position from the overall table (stage 4). That's how I understood it, but it seems I cannot figure out how to set it up in the editor.
  18. The last picture, with the rankings level info, is for the overall competition. For the first playoff (between the closing stage group winners), I have set the ranking to 0 for the winner and 1 (2, in the case the winner here is different from the opening stage winner) for the loser. Then, for the championship playoff (between opening stage winner and playoff winner), I have set the rankings to 0 and 1. Stage 4 (overall table) is just to show the teams' performance during the season and to show the status the reached (Champion, Promoted, etc, the color bars, like UCL qualification). Here I have this: I left the "Store league history" on here so there's something to show in the club's overview tab. If there was a way to do it without it, It would be great. Finally, for the whole competition, the rankings are as follow: Let me know if you need more info. Thanks!
  19. I have that "don't use this stage to rank teams" flag added for the overall table stage, and also the "top teams are champions" ticked and unchecked. Rankings for the comp look like this: For the playoffs I have set 0 for the winner and 1 for the loser, and 2 for the loser of the second playoff.
  20. I don't have the "team order for the top 3 teams" tab (at least not with that name). I did try with the "add history record" thing and still looks duplicated, just that one line corresponds to the championship playoff winner (the winner of the competition) and the second line I'm not actually sure (I think it gets the standings of the overall table, which would be stage 4).
  21. It's the Uruguayan Third League (I made it playable). I did this (as you suggested). Stage 2 is the first playoff and stage 3 is the Championship playoff: In the game looks like this now: It shows duplicated stats and the positions correspond to Stage 0 standings. What do you think could be wrong? Thanks!
