  1. Same issue here! Playing FM23 again and got relegated with Brighton (took them over nine games before end of season in year 2025). In the Championship we are first place after 5 games. We bought Baldanzi for AMC (AM(S)) in a 4231-system. My striker is scoring a lot but Baldanzi has zero goals/assists up to now. He should be one of the best players in the league: more than 15 at off the ball and flair. Also very quick! Value 20 - 30 Mio. IW(S) and IF(S) playing around him, Striker is AF. Maybe he needs more space?
  2. Did you experience the same things about set pieces in FM23? Or was FM23 a little "better" balanced in this regard?
  3. Is this realy true? In FM23 I have the feeling, that I could see the different skills of players. Up to now I had not much time to play FM24. In FM23 I had a save and could sign Branco van den Boomen from Toulouse for a midclass team in germany. He was good at vision, passing, composure etc, but not very fast. I played him as AMC ("no.10")in a 4231-system. I also had a young good attacking midfielder for the AMC position who was very quick and all in all already a good player. Van den Boomen played better in this position than the young prospect and I related this to his good vision, passing, technique and so on. You could see this on the field and also in the stats (passing rate, assists, even goals), when you compared the two players.
  4. Hello I came very late to FM24 (played 23 before). So I only have a few impressions. In my Celta Vigo save Jonathan Bamba (can play inverted winger or winger), with pace and acc. both 16, only has 0 goals and 1 assists in 14 games for my team. A skillfull player like Iago Aspas (age:34 years) is playing very well with 7 goals and 3 assists (in general playing inside forward or inverted winger). He is not very fast but has a great impact. Of course speed is very important, but these stats just show a little different picture than in the described experiment. Speed is important and working well, but maybe not always and not at any time in FM24. I also noticed and also heard from other users, that strikers with high jumping reach work very well in FM24, even if they are very slow. As far as I could see, small pacey strikers can be very succesfull in FM24, but they are not overpowered like in FM23, for example. I only like to share my impressions, but it is not my intention to say that there is something wrong or not true with the outcome of the experiment. Best regards!
  5. Interesting discussion! In my opinion there are not enough injuries. Same like in the previous FM versions. For me it is much too easy to keep your players fresh and avoid injuries. Even with a high working load during training not much injuries occurs and you can almost all the time play with your best eleven players. For me this is boring, because you don't have to take much care about rotating the players or reduce the training intensity. That is why I always use injury files (for more injuries), but even then it happens not very often that you have real "injury crisis". But it is still better than the lower injury rate in the original FM version. Of course I can understand that some people like it to play with the best players available all the time. But I like it more realistic and closer to real life football.
  6. But normaly Serie A should be dificult. With Milan, Inter, Juventus, Roma, Lazio, Bergamo, Napoli you have more or less 7 teams fighting for the title.
  7. Hello has anyone experiences with the injury file? Will it increase the amount of injuries? In FM21 I used the injury file by Majesticeternity and it was realy great (increase of injuries). It produced injury crisis and you realy had to think about the workload in games and training for your players. Somewhere I read that the injury file here is similar? Many thanks in advance for replys!
  8. Is it possible to have a look at the attributes/skills of Manager Marchisio? Realy enjoying this thread!
  9. Interesting! The amount of goals from the strikers seem very realistic. I also have seen this in other threads already. That is a good thing! I'm not so far in my Celta Vigo save, and I don't know why, but the strikers are scoring very well (too much?) for the AI teams. Haaland had 9 goals in 5 matches. Stuani (Girona) 9 in 9 matches. Raul de Tomas (Rayo) 7 in 10 matches and so on.
  10. Maybe I missed it, but how did you finish in La Liga after winning the cup? I have "7th" in my mind, but i can not find it. Again: Realy great thread and a very realistic story! Hope you find time again to dive into the save. But I know from myself, even from the best save you need a break from time to time. All the best!
  11. I already liked your Betis-Save and and your reports. Torino sounds very interesting. I also like the well-thought tactic with a defensive and counter-attacking approach. I also prefer this tactical style. Will be interesting if you can take your tactic to the next step with some new-signings. I will follow!👍
  12. Hello, Great thread! I started with Celta Vigo in La Liga using the tactic shown below (433). I had good games against Real Madrid (lost 2:3) and FC Sevilla (away - 3:1 win!) with plenty shots on goal from my team. Then I had realy tough games against Alaves and Mallorca (both 1:1). In general I gave my AP(S) - Sotelo - the PI "roam from position " against Real and Sevilla and as mentioned my team played very welll in possession. For my taste there was only a bit too much chaos on the field. So I removed the PI "roam" for Sotelo. That was the only change, but the following games (Alaves, Mallorca) looked so much different and in possession my team didn't create many opportunities to score. What do you guys think? Does this small change in tactic have so much influence? I also have to say that Real (442) and Sevilla(352) played very narrow with only one wigback/fullback on the flanks and without any wingers (no IF IW W). Maybe in these games I could overload the flanks and that is why my team played so well in these games? What do you think? Of course, any comments about the tactic are welcome. Many thanks in advance!
  13. I have one question: My Celta Vigo B-Team is playing in the 3rd tier. I have a 18-years-old new-signing and I want to make him available for my A-Team as well as for Celta B. What is the best way? Register him in La Liga and then make him from time to time available for Celta B? Is he still available for Celta B even if he plays often for "Celta A"? Or should I register him for Celta B and shift him from time to time to "Celta A, if there is a chance of playing?
  14. My intention was, that I like to know the tactical ideas and why the tactic changed. Because I also play a save with Celta at the moment and maybe I can get some good tactical ideas. That's all.
  15. I'm always interested in the tactical things of a save. So, after some time you switched from 4231 to 433. If I remember correctly, you mentioned before that you don't use Gegenpress/counter press. But with this shown tactic (433) you described you used Gegenpress/Counter press. Did I understand correctly? Is it because your opponents were sitting deep now?
  16. Pione Sisto in FM15. I think he is 20 or 21 when the game starts. I left AC Milan after one Season and joined Newcastle. He was in in the Newcastle squad during that time. He could play both wings, always around 15 goals and 15 assits per Season. After 5 years we won the Premier League with players like Ayoze Perez and Yannick Gerhardt. It was a nice challenge!
  17. Sound very interesting! Can you show a picture of your tactic? Best regards!
  18. Hello Very cool story and development. Very interesting to read! Maybe I missed it, but: where did you get the newgen faces?
  19. I hope you will continue the save. Will be interesting how you set up your team for the nett season.
  20. Have you had these problems with defending set pieces already for longer times? Or did it start suddenly? Did you change any settings? Keep on the good work. Still a very interesting save!
  21. Your tactic looks simple (in a positive way), but also very clever. I also prefer a counter attacking style with pressing in the midfield area. When Havertz is playing as a striker: Is he a AF or DLF?
  22. Honestly, I think your style and the newspaper articles are very interesting! I dont't write very often in this forum, but I'm very interested in reading your story. I like long storys and I'm in general very intersted in tactical things and the development of the squads over the years. Best regards!
