If this is even true (I think this is just more PR speak), you/hopefully SI must realize that it isn't a good look to announce a game with so many TBA tags attached to it.

They're tiles. You click on the "first team" tile, for instance, and that menu will pop up. This view is just to be able to look at everything at a glance.

Actually, I missed it initially, but on the Fran Kirby screenshot, you can see "Channel Forward" as one of the roles. But, I do not know why nothing shows up for the men they selected.

It may also be because the UI is still WIP, but there isn't anything indicating on the player screens the out of possession/in possession roles that were mentioned last week.

I actually do think the UI (that we see at least) looks better than I was expecting it to. I wish we could see what the portal would look like though,

We will get a list of new features, some screen shots, and the release date. I guarantee it will not just be the release date. That would be the most asinine marketing decision ever.

Monday has been the known date for the announcement for over a week now. I get people want news, and even I was hopeful for something today, but it's Friday, enjoy the weekend and then settle in for the (what could be bad news) on Monday. Plenty of time to bicker over it still.

This is my thought as well. I have to imagine that re-doing and simplifying PIs like this would get more people to actually use them. I know that I sometimes either forget to set them altogether or just get confused by the menu or unsure about what they actually do. The new "roles" may be easier to understand.

The leak said last week September 30 (it was originally supposed to be today or yesterday, I believe).

Laporte is an obvious addition for year two in the next game. He wanted to return this past summer, but the Saudis were asking too much. I doubt it will be as easy to do it in the game though, as I imagine he wouldn't want a pay cut like in real life. In my game, I did bring him back after he moved to Man United and had to spend 58 million, I think it was, for the privilege. It was absolutely ridiculous, but I had the money and wanted him back as he was always one of my favorite players.

Scouting is indeed a mess in this game. I don't know how it never got a fix or was brought up by more players. You're better off just saving yourself the headache and manually scouting instead.

FM 25 (hopefully).

Because there is nothing to complain about with it is my guess. Although, I'm sure someone will be around any moment now to complain about the extra three GB of space that it needs.

The early release bit is not a public beta, it's just early access. This is despite the game last year having a "this is a beta version" in the corner, SI continued to insist throughout that period that it was not a beta.

I'm honestly surprised out of all the bad that came out of this blog, WEIGHT of all things is the one that is being such a sticking point.

Well if you needed any more confirmation that the development of this game was a mess. Releasing a football game in late November is pretty ridiculous (releasing it in early November was also pretty bad to me). But now we're talking a point where the season is almost half over and it's going to be outdated right out of the box. I'm guessing the player attributes aren't going to be up to date for the release either. You're pretty much better off starting whatever you were going to do in FM 25 with a database update at this point. Hell, I wonder if I'll be able to get it for half price on Black Friday just a week after it releases! The head of the studio "bragging" about canceling his travel plans in an official game update blog is pretty out of touch as well.

Which team won? It's not clear from the way this is worded.

If you use the preset gegenpress tactic and change or do nothing else, you will overachieve. That's just a fact of the game.
