  1. Is that on them, though? I feel like most managers would utilise them and their strengths much better. They did look poor throughout most of the tournament, but then so did just about every English player... nobody was played to their strengths at all.
  2. Pickford is one of England's biggest problems imo. Dunno how often I see him launch it to absolutely nobody, except for maybe an opposition player. Never tries to play short, unless he's rolling it to someone. England have one of the best ball playing defenders in the world in Stones, and instead of trying to use him and Rice to link the midfield and defence, Pickford clatters it 70 yards and gives the ball away It's ridiculous.
  3. @Kawee was last online on Friday, so hopefully all is well
  4. It won't even be that bad. Yeah they'll still talk about it in 100 years, that's the whole point. Croatian and Scottish media/fans would do the same too
  5. And when he returns he'll announce a new draft so everyone forgets about the issues at hand
  6. I think it's fair to say that his record and tenure do mean he should be on good money, but I don't think he should be earning more than everyone else, and probably not more than a few managers. Should he earn more than Deschamps, Nagelsmann or Spalletti? I'd argue not. and if record and tenure are the key points here, Deschamps has actually won something and has a solid 4 years on Southgate. There's no "probably" about Deschamps
  7. I appreciate the effort you've put in @grff, but I have to say the fact you used some 41221 for me instead of the 41212 it was meant to be, and have done a 41131 for Paul instead of the obvious 4231 or 433 You've taken the free-placed tactics we've created and used them literally. Probably doesn't matter at all as I don't think FM does a good job at all of recreating an actual game of football, but it's interesting nonetheless.
  8. Not an England fan obviously but will definitely be watching, have invited a mate up (was invited after the QFs so definitely no England supporting going on here ) to watch so should be fun. I don't really care who wins. The English media will be insufferable but they already are so... be amazing for the England team/players who I actually like the majority of. Never really liked the Spanish team (mostly due to their era of dominance via boredom) but this one is quite good to watch and I'm GODRI NUMBER ONE FAN so would be great to see him and a bunch of others win it for Spain. Either way i just hope it's a good game. I think Yamal and Olmo might cook the England defence.
  9. Because experience >>> Same reason he persisted with Hendo and Maguire for so long and if he was to be the England boss for another decade, would use Kane for too long too.
  10. Mainoo's absolutely quality, especially for his age and the turbulent club he is a part of
  11. Especially considering that Kane's shot was totally unaffected by the "foul". His shot was already halfway towards the goal at the contact
  12. I think the winner of this might win the whole thing. I went for Paul, think he's got an overall stronger team. Scott's better down the spine of the pitch but I think his wide areas are really lacking compared to Paul's.
  13. Maybe I don't rate Vitinha enough tbf. I haven't seen much of this tournament due to work (I missed like 95% of the games) but I do agree with your assessment from what I've seen. I almost never watch PSG (saw a couple of CL games this season) so don't really know much about him other than what I read online.
  14. I should have had Alaba tbf, and I would have had a very different rest of draft, but it became clear after about 4 picks that Alaba was not going to be in my team and it changed my draft. I think your comments are fair but I was putting it as 3v4 in midfield because that was my vision. Obviously we're then comparing 2 strikers v 3 forwards but I don't think there's a question that your attack batters mine I think my defence holds up against your attack, though. I think tactically, as opposed to man-to-man, I win. Man to man it's close like you say. That's why I find the "significantly better" a bit ridiculous e: and if i had known for sure Alaba wasn't going to make it, I'd probably have taken Sabitzer or something which, again, completely changes my draft I'm really happy with my team though and like I said a few times now, I'm absolutely delighted to have got this far because I usually suuuck in these. I play cos I enjoy the draft part, I've never enjoyed the voting But I have this time cos, y'know... I've won a fair bit. Been a lot of fun and I kinda knew I was going to go out here. Mbappé is inevitable
