  1. That's weird for sure, maybe it's not finishing in time to send qualifiers to the Europa League so those fixtures rules aren't kicking in or something? Or is there anything in "continental cup rules" for the original league stage that tries to send a team from stage 0? Maybe it's getting confused and not qualifying a Norwegian team to the Europa, so the Europa doesn't have enough teams to run properly?
  2. Interesting stuff. Thanks for the info/testing, this will come in handy. Serie A Italians vs. Serie A foreigners reminds me of a game they had like that circa 2001 when everyone got to meet the Pope afterwards (memories of Hidetoshi Nakata greeting him for some reason)
  3. New version out, I just moved Northern Marianas to OFC instead of getting rid of those "Additional Helpers". I might expand some of the OFC comps later to include them (and the other associate members) but they all double as qualifying for FIFA comps and it will take more work to make sure the non-FIFA members don't qualify for anything and break it
  4. Worst part is there are probably devs on here (who might even use our DBs) who know the answers to some of our more confusing questions, but they seem to have a hands-off approach with editor stuff as they probably don't want to be seen to be helping us get around licensing issues by enabling extra leagues
  5. You might also be able to play with the transfer window settings to bar certain movements between divisions but I could never quite find a setting that would work the way you're thinking
  6. Yeah I'll try and fix it later when I'm at my laptop. There's weird variable rules in there to account for the different amount of teams when an Asian country hosts I think. I must have misread how they actually worked
  7. Oh cr*p ok thabks for testing. Thought I had 48 teams in there every time. Is that with an asian team auto selected to host the World Cup by any chance? Will have a look again tomorrow
  8. @rusty217 @Vakama2619 @josuts @Robbles Quin ®™ @vassilispyrgos @albertluque @torsportsfan @mwebb @anitamui @AiZaK potentially relevant to your interests here
  9. OP updated with a national team file. There's the noted issue where the Asian U20 Cup qualifiers have to drop a low-rep team to make room, but everything else seems to be working fine (with the clubs shunted into ACL prelims like before). Let me know if you encounter any issues.
  10. You can give clubs rivalries with a box for no transfers between them, and if the rivalry is less than 50 I don't think it actually shows up on their profile. But that's probably too unwieldy for dozens of clubs to be set as rivals each
  11. Still a little early to gauge my appetite for that. If they improve MLS (scheduling for example) that would help. Mind you, the lack of international footy is going to be a big turn-off...
  12. This one's probably not worth yet another new thread for but here's a similar file for the Asian Cup, just setting 2027 at the planned stadiums in Saudi Arabia instead of it being an open bidding process (that should kick in for the next one in 2031)
  13. The game throws up the odd weird choice like Germany or Italy hosting soon after they last did, so here's an alternate version (only use one of this or the main file) where Poland's 2036 bid to go it alone succeeds, then 2040 is hosted by Sweden/Denmark/Norway/Finland and 2044 by Greece/Romania/Bulgaria/Serbia.
  14. Thinking of working on a plug-and-play DB for people to just put their custom nation in (with instructions) and it will fit them in European national competitions. Which tournaments is it exactly that they get in, and which are they out? I seem to recall the Euro U-21 (but not the U-19s) qualifying would automatically fit in a created European nation? Is it everything else (World Cup quals, Euro quals, Nations League) that needs to be tweaked to fit them in?
  15. Just added Scotland and Wales once I realized Euro qualifying could in fact handle losing up to 4 teams (plus Russia). Sorry Northern Ireland, although it looks like they might be out of hosting duties anyway. It only shows a max of 3 names under the competition header (likely a holdover of the coding changes for the 2026 World Cup). but the 4th does auto-qualify here as well, and the competition history shows "4 nations"
  16. As far as you can see is everything working around them? MLS drafts, allocation order, other teams' international slots, GAM, TAM, all that crap. Tempted to add San Diego FC this way, even if they aren't fully participating it would be OK if everyone else is
  17. Take a look at the UEFA or CONCACAF Nations League rules for guidance maybe? Do you know how to get at those?
  18. Yeah there are some interesting possibilities there. I guess you'd have to account for game trying to fit the extra MLS team in the Leagues Cup and Open Cup as well, although the game might be able to bump a Mexican team (in Leagues Cup) or lower league team (in Open Cup) to make room
  19. Updated with the confirmed 2025 Gold Cup stadiums, and my own rough guess at which of those will host the final, semis, etc. Then it goes back to the random list of realistic candidates for some variation in the future. They've said 16 teams, so doesn't look like we'll see the 24-team version with multiple invitees like had been proposed
  20. I should add that the "maximum number of hosts" box might just apply to the automatic selection, if you dropped that to "1" it might rule out the co-hosting jobs that I noted above. Doesn't stop you from exceeding that number with a manual selection of hosts though. I wonder if you bumped it up to "3" if it would do options like Can/Mex/US again, or if that would break CONCACAF qualifying (not sure if it's a special format for the 2026 cycle without checking)
  21. Is it just me or did they add some stuff in the April update? Notice under stadium options there's some cool stuff like a "hosted by city" box I didn't pick up on before. Some options in promotion/relegation too, I think I got rid of the "B team cannot be promoted" text using those
  22. LOL. I didn't even notice that. New record. Was on a small DB with full detail for the World Cup I think, and the Brazilian league loaded (for the later start date for testing. So it was probably full strength Brazil with most players on midseason form and morale against a team of mostly greyed out Guatemalans
  23. Wow that's so cool. Wonder if amy other old team IDs like the Metrostars would have similar functionality. Probably too far back though
  24. When MLS used to have teams joining in the second season every FM or so (no 2024 expansion so no need for it this year), it was with "next division" as well, but any attempts to replicate that in other leagues didn't work either. I suspect it was the same kind of hard-coding
  25. Just dealing with a glitch where it seems to call up greyed out players, even if the real players then show up in the friendly (on the remaining March FIFA date) a few days later. Has anyone seen this before? Thought it was something in "fixture rules" or "players" but doesn't seem to do it, maybe it's because it's on an international date and it's getting confused? Or something hard-coded with the Finalissima? EDIT: seems to be working:
