Thanks for sharing this one, the QA team will review initially to determine why this is showing in the players history.
You know I saw it in other player's histories too, along with MLS guys. It just doesn't show any appearances and isn't consistent across all participants

@Roy Race 9 "Team" only comes up as an option with the "maximum players aged 21+..." and "aged 23+" settings. That's why when you picked Man City above, it stayed blank. "Team" is only there for the latter two options, so as of FM23 you can only restrict those transfer rules to one team, everything else just lets you limit it to a competition

This is only an issue in the basic rules? Just switch to advanced, remove the "nations" from the continental rules (this is what causes the issue), and then in the tournament itself use "get best teams from division" from the countries you want

I believe it's because most created DBs have a blank field for "continental cup rules", whereas the default US rules has entries there. Just copy and paste those into your custom league and alter accordingly. Without the US actually qualifying any teams that way, the CCL doesn't have enough entries so it doesn't draw.

Honestly it's more of a licensing agreement for a lot of those youth clubs in North America, I think they just buy the rights to the Barca or BVB name (for example) and *might* get some kind of help with like coaching manuals (if even that)

Is it not just the "setup date" for the Gold Cup that needs moving up? Sacrifice not having the actual draw date in exchange for the right teams.
The default tournaments are hard to edit for us, you feel that the least the devs could have done is respond to the various threads that popped up after every update raising this. Nice slap in the face for CONCACAF-based customers and others who like to play saves in the region, if this happened with the Euro it would be seen as a disaster.

The only way I've been able to get around this is, you guessed it, deleting the Icelandic Cup.
You can take the club Kordrengir, make them un-extinct, and put them back in the Icelandic first Division. @Zachary Whyte this looks like the change in the latest update that caused this.

Still not working in the new update

Right host, wrong dates. First edition is summer 2023, should be Jan 2024.
QuoteReuters originally reported that the next AFC Asian Cup could be moved to early 2024 and the Qatar Football Association confirmed on Febraury 28, 2023 that the tournament will now start on January 12, 2024 and run until February 10.

Also, SAFF should be moved up one week (starts one week too late in the game) and won't include Sri Lanka for 2023.
The first AFC Asian Cup is, obviously, still in the wrong date (summer 2023 instead of Jan 2024)

Afghanistan looks to still be in the SAFF tournament, but should be out (they moved over to CAFA a while back)

The "invalid date range" for Spain's nation rules seems wrong, it's set to cover Christmas but it's Dec. 24, 2000 to Dec. 29, 2001. Second entry looks like it should also be 2000. The game can schedule around it but I think it's having knock-on effects elsewhere

This is still going on after the latest update. Guessing Gold Cup qualifying ends too late or something like that

CSL is still there in the background as an inactive league, obviously up-to-date data isn't as important for one like that (not sure if they're still unsanctioned but they occasionally get some decent ex-pros in)

Isn't there an option in "players" for the competition itself now, or transfer rules or something? Telling it to use a certain stage or competition for the All-Star team. Then in the All-Star comp too, and the all-star "club" all have their own settings that need to be linked up? I haven't played with it

Sounds like it's picking random high-rep teams from a predetermined list of Caribbean countries. By enabling those countries it may break the normal way they supply teams that works in the background, so sometimes its fine if it doesn't pick that nation, but if it does randomly select it then it causes this bug

Could you please send us your save/editor files so we can review, thank you.
Thanks for the reply, @Zachary Whyte. It's an issue across any international comp with less than 3 entered for "Days Before Finals Competition for Squad Selection" which is under the "Players" tab under the competition's advanced rules. This remains the case even if "Days Before Competition Start for Squad Number Selection" is set to 1 or 2.
The requested examples are uploaded to the SI Cloud Service as TEST FOR SI - SQUAD NUMBERS BUG.fmf and TEST FOR SI - SQUAD NUMBERS BUG SAVE - CHECK CALENDAR JAN 2023.fm
In the save, you can see the issue if you look at the calendar for January 2023. Simming ahead to that date will encounter the bug where the game blocks you from picking squad numbers (and continuing) because you haven't picked your squad yet (set for the next day). Note from the editor file that this is despite the "days before competition start for squad number selection" being set to 1.

I think it's the 2 days - if I make it so you have to pick your squad 3 days+ before the comp, you can pick numbers (it stays 3 days before the tourney too). So the options to call up your team 1 or 2 days before the comp should probably be removed, or move the number selection date to automatically coincide with squad selection (the box we can pick for that doesn't seem to work)

Further, FC Tucson have kept a bunch of pro deals despite dropping down to USL2. I imagine those got ripped up
