  1. FK Viktoria Žižkov – season 2035/36 The final stage was very disappointing, luckily we had a good gap over 6th place and Sparta helped us to keep the European spot with winning the cup. Cup Got rid of extra games early. Conference League Our second group stage appearance didn’t start so well, but 13 points were eventually enough for a top eight finish. A great result itself, but the way we lost in semi-final was really annoying. After a comeback against Young Boys (trailing 0-2 and 2-3 at home with a few minutes left) and destroying Fiorentina I could hope for the second final appearance, but Sturm became an unbeatable opponent for us this season. Squad stats J.Šmíd *28a – almost doubled his goalscoring record from last season, became the best Czech footballer of the year and earned a call-up for the Euros (maybe he'll finally earn his first senior cap there). A.Uhlíř *31a – had a very controversial season, great form in autumn brought him the Golden Boy award, but then he only scored once after the winter break M.Bílek *24b – one of our veterans had his best stats ever, still that wasn’t enough to break Jambor’s assisting record (which was set during only half of the season). B.Varga *26i – another good season for our center-back who also will take part in the Euros. L.Řehák *33b, S.Trifunović *34g, T.Tichý *34c – for the first time we had multiple players selected into NXGN top 50, though I’d put Trifunovic ahead of others. He’s a regular starter now and scored some remarkable goals from distance (this volley in Conference semi-final was just amazing, shame that we lost that game). Seeing a loaned center-back in this list is quite surprising as his stats weren't so impressive in the second tier, but I guess that means a really good potential. O.Žák *33e – probably deserved the NXGN selection as well, anyway his progress deserves to be mentioned. Transfers – no major departures, but Muxel and especially Jambor earned some money for us with their new transfers! Youth intake (preview) Látal *36a | Vydra *36b | Navrátil *36c | Havlíček *36d | Rezek *36e Not the best intake for a 5 star rating, still the top four players look quite promising. Youth recruitment was increased to 20 after the latest patch, and another training upgrade is on the way. Also we finally got the first foreign affiliate in China (chose the club with better facilities).
  2. FK Viktoria Žižkov – season 2034/35 Losing a player who scored 50 last season couldn’t happen unnoticed, we weren’t so clinical in front of goal but instead became much better defensively and managed to return into European competitions! Sparta had some insane amount of points, no idea when we would be strong enough to challenge them. Cup A decent run which ended when we needed some rotation against Jablonec and couldn’t even get a shot on target. Squad stats B.Varga *26i – our defensive form was crucial for these results, and Varga eventually became the team’s MVP. J.Šmíd *28a – couldn’t score for three months at start of the season, but improved later and became a leading scorer for us (though these numbers are closer to what we got while being relegation candidates). A.Uhlíř *31a – had a hard task to replace legendary Muxel, at least wasn’t hopeless in trying to do this and won the talent of the season award. D.Klinka *26d – was our best assistant before Jambor’s record season, remains one after his departure. R.Karafiát *31h – a versatile defender who had a breakthrough season on loan and returned as a starting right-back. P.Kodr *26c – our goalkeeper had the best season in his career with 16 clean sheets. S.Trifunović *34g – my personal MVP of the final stage, I promoted him after several first team midfielders were injured and he really impressed. To be honest, we didn’t have such a well-balanced central midfielder for a long time! Transfers – apart from these, we also had several pre-arranged sales which happened before the season update. Youth intake (preview) Málek *35a | Jakobovský *35b | Rosický *35c | Bartoš *35d | Thinh *35e | Kubišta *35f | Wiesner *35g | Kaufman *35h | Tavío *35i Surely the most diverse intake so far in terms of nationalities, but all the best talents are local guys. Malek is going to be an excellent playmaker in future! Finally we had a board takeover, and the new chairman is certainly more ambitious to approve the youth facilities upgrade!
  3. FK Viktoria Žižkov – season 2033/34 I paused this career in February as it became running too slow and hoped for better optimization in the upcoming patch, which really happened! Unfortunately it also brought some struggle with new match engine, and in addition we had to sell our best winger Jambor to league rivals Slavia (they were the only team to agree for a future clause, and I really hope he would leave for a bigger club soon), so dropped to 6th place with a big gap from European spots. Cup It surely wasn’t a priority this season, but losing to a lower division team which only had one shot on target still hurts. Conference League We started the continental season with two quick conceded goals in Scotland but managed to recover, won the home leg and then defeated HJK twice to make our first league stage appearance! Four wins out of six were quite expected, but we also managed to upset Montpellier with Muxel’s hat-trick and put a decent performant away at Stuttgart, finishing 4th and qualifying directly to the second knockout round. Thanks to easier draws we reached semi-final and there met Stuttgart again. They didn’t look unbeatable in the group stage, and this time we completely outplayed them in Germany but somehow lost. Though luck returned to us in the second leg, which was heading to extra time when we were awarded a penalty for a foul clearly outside the box Muxel converted it for a hat-trick and sent us into the final! A predictable result, Valencia was a much stronger team and actually played this final at home. Still tried our best and weren’t embarrassed! Squad stats M.Muxel *23a – farewell to our legend who set an amazing record of 50 goals (enough for becoming a top goalscorer both in domestic and Conference league) and scored 213 in 347 games for the club overall. We couldn’t match his wage demands anymore and he moves to AC Milan (there was an option to get around 2 million for him in winter, but we surely wouldn’t be in the European final that way so I think I’ve made a right choice). J.Jambor *30a – despite playing only half a season here, he set the new club record with 18 assists and won the Golden Boy award! J.Šmíd *28a – improved his personal goalscoring record, and with Muxel leaving he must become a leader of our attacking line. B.Varga *26i – finally made his international debut for Hungary and had another good season for the club. M.Bílek *24b – wasn’t so impressive in the league, but performed really well in Europe, scored our only goal in the final and eventually was selected into team of the year. P.Ellison *23b – he will be the only player remaining from 2023 squad after Muxel departure. Still a regular starter, setting the new club record in all-time appearances. Transfers – sold another youngster to Slavia, but he’s unambitious and had no progress at all so shouldn’t be a blow for our squad. Youth intake (preview) Bednář *34a | Týce *34b | Tichý *34c | Minařík *34d | Biro *34e | Frýdek *34f | Trifunović *34g A five-star intake with a potentially great goalkeeper, mostly positive personalities and two surprising Brazilians (maybe an influence from our previous HOYD who left two seasons ago?) A successful run in Europe boosted our finances a lot, but we can’t use them for youth facilities Hoping for the board change happening soon.
  4. FK Viktoria Žižkov – season 2032/33 Another bad start, we struggled to score and missed a lot of points in the games that should be won. Even after defeating Sparta and Slavia in December we were only 10th at the winter break, but after nine wins and two draws in new year made it to the top three. And here came the old problems with scoring, we were the better team in four games out of five, but only managed to get one win. Enough for 4th place, but we could actually qualify to the Champions League with a bit more luck! Cup Tried our best against Sparta, but that wasn’t enough. Conference League So close! After confidently defeating opponents from Ukraine and Austria we were drawn against Lens and hardly could hope for a good result, especially after a narrow loss at home, but Muxel scored two in France and we were ten minutes from qualifying to the group stage. Unfortunately, he also was the only player to miss in the shootout Squad stats M.Muxel *23a – another excellent season for our striker. Played in the Euros (mostly as a substitute and didn’t score, but assisted for the winning goal in a game which let the Czech team qualify for playoffs), won his third top goalscorer title in a row and officially became the club legend (along with Karel Poborsky and several less known players from 90s). His new contract is really huge though, he earns four times more than the second richest player in our squad. J.Šmíd *28a – set his personal goalscoring record. D.Klinka *26d and J.Jambor *30a – two wingers set the new joint club record in assists. Jambor once again was selected into the NXGN list (this time as number 3!), but his future in our club is very doubtful – he wants to play in a better squad with one year of contract remaining B.Varga *26i – this time he was the leader of our defensive line, though still overlooked by the national team manager. Transfers – apart from these departures, before the season we released two last remaining real players who weren’t good even for backup anymore. Youth intake (preview) Slončík *33a | Řehák *33b | Hůlka *33c | Piták *33d | Žák *33e | Mununga *33f | Leština *33g We got some quality players, but not for the positions which I hoped to improve. It’s really strange that our attendance is declining despite selling more season tickets and playing in Europe. Another training facilities upgrade is on the way, thanks to better sponsorship deals.
  5. FK Viktoria Žižkov – season 2031/32 Struggled at start with only two wins in first 12 games, but managed to recover and qualified for the championship group in the end. One game on this run was especially pleasing, when we thrashed Sparta at home and Muxel became our first player to score four goals in a league match. With only one point earned in first four games we couldn’t finish higher than 5th place. Luckily, Sparta won the cup (at least some consolation for them after breaking a streak of nine league titles!) so this was a Conference spot once again. Cup Opava knocked us out again, this time it was very annoying as we felt a possibility of a good cup result, fielded the strongest squad and still couldn’t score. Conference League Unlucky draw for the debut. Antwerp had a much better squad, we managed to keep the score clean for 210 minutes but lost in a shootout lottery. Squad stats M.Muxel *23a – scored less than last season, still enough to win the top goalscorer and MVP awards with a huge margin. He also became our first player to be selected for the major tournament. J.Šmíd *28a – scored 10 goals and was in the preliminary squad for the Euros. D.Klinka *26d – the best assistant, as usual. V.Matejka *24a – another decent season for our playmaker. L.Petržílka *26g and B.Varga *26i – our center-backs keep the good form. Varga once was called up to the Hungarian senior team but didn’t play so far. J.Jambor *30a – our second player to feature in the NXGN top 50, his performance isn't too impressive though. Transfers – quite a good profit from selling reserve players (loaned players with higher fees will be released after this season, so actually they are sold as well). Sedlacek *27a is the most familiar name there, a striker who looked really good in the intake and had a great rookie season, but unfortunately had no potential at all. We also missed the future fee clause for D.Macek *25a who signed as a free agent with Liberec after three season in PSG reserves (leaving us certainly was the wrong choice). Youth intake (preview) Fišer *32a | M.Novák *32b | J.Nowak *32c | Froněk *32d | Sifneos *32e | Vágner *32f | Divíšek *32g Were promised to get some central midfielders, got another bunch of wingers instead (and not the best ones actually). Sponsorship deals increased a lot after playing in Europe, that allowed us to schedule a training facilities improvement and the ultimate recruitment upgrade.
  6. FK Viktoria Žižkov – season 2030/31 That’s our breakthrough season for sure! We were second at the winter break, dropped to fourth place with a harder spring schedule but defeated Plzen in the last game to overtake them. And our attack was simply amazing during this season, we scored 62 goals (Sparta had the closest number with 51). Now the battle for Europe starts, we need to avoid finishing bottom in the final six. Started the final stage with three defeats, but winning two last games at home was enough to repeat the best finish in club’s history! Plzen got the Europa League spot by winning the cup anyway, but probably that’s even better – we may have more chances to progress in Conference and earn some money. Cup Our reserve squad set the new record for biggest win, but failed to progress in the next round. Squad stats M.Muxel *23a – the main reason why we were so strong. Sparta and several Asian clubs were interested in him during summer, but luckily no one made an offer, he signed a new contract in September (had to offer the biggest wage and bonuses the club could afford) and scored 34 goals! Of course, he became league’s best goalscorer and was selected as the best player. J.Šmíd *28a – stats are not too impressive, but he took the deep-lying spot and let Muxel play closer to the goal. V.Matejka *24a – the most productive season for our starting playmaker as well, he won the best midfielder award. D.Klinka *26d – finally reached the 10 assists mark. L.Petržílka *26g and B.Varga *26i – another solid season for our center-backs. Petržílka was selected into team of the year, while Varga won the best young player award. J.Jambor *30a – the top prospect from last season’s intake already looks good as a rotation winger. Transfers – sold two backup veterans and some reserve players who became unhappy or simply weren’t needed. Youth intake (preview) Uhlíř *31a | Sedláček *31b | Holub *31c | Brabec *31d | Mozr *31e | Hladík *31f | Glaser *31g | Karafiát *31h Probably we don’t need more strikers right now, but getting a promising goalkeeper is always good. Our financial state was quite concerning during the season, but sponsorship deals increased so we even made some profit. Also we are affiliated with Newcastle now, their owners surely could be more generous in this deal
  7. FK Viktoria Žižkov – season 2029/30 For the first time we finished in the middle group and were officially safe from relegation after 30 games. Actually we even underperformed, being fifth in xG table, so could hope for European places with a slightly higher quality of players. Winning this mid-table playoff only gives a higher seeding in the next season’s cup, so I’m not too concerned about the final loss. Still the semi-final comeback against our local rivals was impressive, we were 0-4 behind in the first game! Cup Our best cup performance as well, thanks to easy draws in first rounds and two penalty saves from our reserve keeper Ciupa in quarter-final. Slavia destroyed us as expected though. Squad stats M.Muxel *23a – set our new goalscoring record in the top flight and became the first player to earn a senior cap (6 minutes in a friendly, but still)! Unfortunately he doesn’t want to extend a contract and may leave for free T.Malý *24g – started the season as a backup striker, but eventually became our second goalscorer and the best rated player. D.Klinka *26d – matched his own assisting record from the previous season (still waiting for someone to make 10 assists) and won the talent of the year award. L.Petržílka *26g – our best defender, I hope no one will activate his release clause and he’ll sign a new contract after the transfer window. B.Varga *26i – returned from loan and immediately won the competition for the second center-back spot. P.Kodr *26c – set the new club record in clean sheets and became second best young player in the league. Transfers – no departures from the first team. Youth intake (preview) Jambor *30a | Zakostelský *30b | Hřídel *30c | Hanzlík *30d | Verner *30e | Vágner *30f This was only an average intake, but Jambor looks like a great winger potentially. Another improvement for the youth facilities is on the way. And one funny thing to mention - isn't it a bit early to get this trait at the age of 16?
  8. FK Viktoria Žižkov – season 2028/29 We lost three first team players from last season – Macek moved to PSG, Križmanić was sold to Benfica by the board, setting our new transfer record (I only could negotiate a future sale clause), and Ellison missed around half a year with injury. So, predictably it was a worse performance this time, though still enough to stay clear of danger in the final stage. Also got this achievement on the last matchday. This game didn't decide anything and we lost it 3-4, still a nice milestone for our academy. Cup Had not enough squad depth to be competitive here as well. Squad stats M.Muxel *23a – our only player to have an average rating over 7… and most likely the next one to leave with a transfer request and one year under a contract Probably I’ll try to postpone this transfer for the end of next season, like I did with Macek. O.Sedláček *27a – unfortunately he isn’t developing at all, but became our top goalscorer this season. D.Klinka *26d – matched the club record in assists, playing on both wings and becoming our primary set piece taker. V.Matejka *24a – became a leading central midfielder after Macek’s departure, and what’s really important, signed a new three-year contract. P.Kodr *26c – yes, Ciupa is still a good goalkeeper, but I felt that it was time to trust in our youngster. Transfers – guess I made a mistake agreeing to sell Tsiaras before that forced transfer of Križmanić. It left us without a decent backup winger, but I just gave up trying to develop a casual player. Worst in training, unhappy with everything and never reacting well. Youth intake (preview) Vaněk *29a | Wiesner *29b | Volešák *29c | Skuhravý *29d | Bureš *29e | Stracený *29f | Beneš *29g Vanek can become a new key midfielder for us, defense and winger positions also got some improvement. The money we got from Benfica were used to improve all our infrastructure (the youth facilities are on the way and will be completed in July).
  9. My player just improved his jumping with a broken leg, I wonder which training can do this?
  10. FK Viktoria Žižkov – season 2027/28 After three seasons of struggle we finally improved our position and finished only one point short from the middle group. Falling to the playoff spots is still possible, but shouldn’t happen if we continue playing on the same level. Stayed on top of this group despite losing to Mlada, and of course it’s our best season in the top division so far! Cup The best cup run as well, we reached quarter-final for the first time after a surprise shootout win over Slavia. Squad stats D.Macek *25a – with an interest from PSG there were no chances to keep our best player in the club, still I made the best available move – agreed a transfer for the end of season (for a small fee, but including 50% from next sale) before he could be signed for free. M.Muxel *23a – once again became our best goalscorer. Waiting for him to score an overhead kick though, as he has this trait O.Sedláček *27a – managed to score 11 goals in his first full senior season, a really good debut. Jiří Ciupa – probably his last season as an undoubted first choice in goal, but he played it well. Ondřej Žežulka – still our best center-back who now set the new club record with 243 games played. A.Križmanić *26a – stats are not so impressive, but he is our first ever player to be included into NXGN top 50 list. L.Petržílka *26g – I was trying different players as the second center-back, no one really impressed but this youngster made a nice progress during the season and became a regular starter. M.Krátký *25h – the weirdest selection, he was playing on loan in Portuguese lower leagues (like a lot of our youngsters), didn’t have any outstanding stats there and somehow became the Czech talent of the year. Don’t know, maybe his real potential is higher than my staff’s assessment. Transfers – Macek's departure leaves us with one good central midfielder in the squad, hopefully some younger players would develop quickly. Youth intake (preview) Šmíd *28a | Akbaş *28b | Piško *28c | Čupr *28d | Krátký *28e | Cabadaj *28f | Procházka *28g | Trapp *28h | Kavka *28i We got a full defensive line with five star potential, though I would prefer more central midfielders now. Despite the youth facilities downgrade, I had to invest into training facilities instead as promising this was the only way to convince Muxel signing a new contract.
  11. FK Viktoria Žižkov – season 2026/27 Struggle continued after the winter break. We almost caught Pardubice with a head-to-head win, but they had a better run in April so we need to win at least three of five last games and hope for other results going in our favor. Well, that was madness. After winning four games in a row (three of them with late decisive goals) and setting the new club record with 5-0 thrashing of Slovan we only needed a draw against Pardubice… and failed completely. At this point I was sure that we are relegated, Slovan had the same amount of points, better goal difference but… I was totally sure that goal difference was the first tiebreaker in previous seasons! Or did the latest patch also change league rules in older saves? Playoffs against lower league teams aren’t a problem for us. Survived again, and hopefully this season becomes a turning point as our core is now young and developing (though there are some serious concerns about keeping them around now). Cup Our former leaders now couldn’t even defeat a second tier team. Squad stats D.Macek *25a – our best player right now, but it may be his last season here. He wants to leave with one year left under contract, so it's a tough choice - let him go now, earning some money for future development but weakening the midfield even more, or lose him for free in a season. M.Muxel *23a – saved us from relegation, scoring 7 of his 13 goals in May. Also he won the talent of the year award and played in the U19 Euros (Czech Republic lost all three games in the group). Dawser Ben Yahmed – Tunisian striker got a first eleven spot after we had to change our formation to 4-4-2 (simply had not enough central midfielders anymore) and became our second goalscorer. Jiří Ciupa – entered the god mode in some games, conceded almost every shot in others (Sparta beat us 8-0 with 9 shots on target ) P.Ellison *23b – agreed to a new contract, so we can be confident in our left-back position so far. A.Križmanić *26a and D.Klinka *26d – two wingers from the last season’s intake have already become regular starters. V.Matejka *24a – didn’t play as well as last season, but still remains one of our key players. Transfers – more loans, mostly to Portuguese clubs with better facilities. Youth intake (preview) Sedláček *27a | Hubínek *27b | Rothe *27c | Hrdlička *27d | Klán *27e | Čepelák *27f Sedláček is unambitious, but good enough to be a backup striker in the senior team right now! Getting a potentially good center-back and a pair of central midfielders will also help (can’t say the same about wingers though, we are getting too many of them). What’s even funnier is our HOYD having 4-4-2 narrow diamond as a preferred formation, though I’ve never seen any connection between this and youngsters’ positions actually Another small drop in attendance, can’t blame the fans though, a lot of games were really tough to watch. Also we got our first affiliate - Znojmo, a 3rd tier team with quite decent facilities.
  12. Probably that's going to be the last season here. Veterans can't keep this level anymore, youngsters are progressing but not good enough yet We are predicted last of course, but not sure if the board would keep me in the club after relegation.
  13. FK Viktoria Žižkov – season 2025/26 We struggled most part of the season, but had two really good months. First was November, when we had three wins in a row, including an incredible away victory over Sparta, which won three latest titles and almost secured the fourth one now! Also there was an absolute rollercoaster against Slovan which sadly didn't end in our favor, but I still was impressed with our attack. The second peak of form happened in April, we were unbeaten (avoided a defeat from Sparta again!) and finished this stage with a solid eight points advantage over the relegation spot. We almost avoided playoffs, just needed one more goal! Took some time to break their defense, but we survived with a confident overall win. Two of three goals were scored by our youngsters, that’s a good sign for future. Cup Our best cup performance so far ended with a late penalty. Squad stats Michal Petráň – despite declining in attributes a bit, he kept a good form and even scored one more than in previous season. Jiří Ciupa – our defending certainly wasn’t good if a goalkeeper had the highest rating, but he really saved some games for us. P.Ellison *23b – our biggest star at the moment, requested to leave earlier but still has two years under contract so hopefully would change his mind. V.Matejka *24a – our top assistant and second best Czech young player. D.Macek *25a – promoted to the first team during winter break and really helped us in the final stages. Selected third in another youth nomination. M.Muxel *23a – finding it hard to fit him in our tactics, still the end of the season was quite good. M.Bílek *24b – became a starting right winger during the season and didn’t disappoint. Transfers – several loans for our first season youngsters. Youth intake (preview) Križmanić *26a | Tsiaras *26b | Kodr *26c | Klinka *26d | Trpišovský *26e | Meric *26f | Petržílka *26g | Basa *26h | Varga *26i Four of the five best prospects here are left-footed wingers, but between them there’s a really promising goalkeeper who goes directly to the senior squad as a backup! And it’s surely our best intake so far, also including six foreign nationalities. No idea why our attendances dropped, hopefully that will be improved next season.
  14. Well done And of course, who else could score the winning goal in the final against Inter?
  15. FK Viktoria Žižkov – season 2024/25 I knew this season would be a struggle, but the start was just ridiculous. We weren’t hopeless and sometimes had better stats and xG than our opponents, but got our first points only in tenth game, defeating Brno with a last minute strike from Voltr! After this we started scoring points more often and eventually left the bottom place at the end of first stage, but bad finishing and awful goalkeeping (both our goalies were worst in the league in goals conceded above xG) didn’t let us feel fully safe. Mlada had an impressive winning run in this group, overtaking both us and Bohemians before the final matchday. Three relegation contenders played against three top teams and none could get any points, which meant a playoff spot for us. Staying up! Petráň surely knows how to destroy the second tier teams Not sure if next season is going to be better though, our aging core isn't getting stronger and youngers aren't fully ready to replace them. Cups The only cup game fell into this awful start as well. Squad stats Michal Petráň – had a slow start (like all our team actually) but found his goalscoring form in spring. Took half of his last season’s goals to a higher level, that’s a good result for sure. Augusto Batioja – another player who had an average rating over 7, age doesn’t affect him so far. Radek Voltr – same as last season, became our second goalscorer from the left wing. Milan Jirásek – still indispensable in midfield. P.Ellison *23b – not so impressive season, but he is now assessed as our key player and gets U21 caps for Scotland. Jiří Ciupa – despite struggling at start our goalkeeper had a decent end of the season, hopefully will take this form further. Transfers – nothing happened at all. Youth intake (preview) D.Macek *25a | Dvořák *25b | Hofmann *25c | P.Macek *25d | Šťovíček *25e The new HOYD Mazinho Patrao brought us another top prospect in midfield. Other high rated players have worse personalities, though better than nothing, and we are still searching for a good goalkeeper. We had first facilities downgrade (though immediately agreed to repair it) and two more upgrades. @Winski keeping Kadlec is a really good start, hope he will guide you to promotion
  16. FK Viktoria Žižkov – season 2023/24 Well, that was quite easy, we had a couple of winless runs in October and April but gave no chances to our opponents elsewhere. Now the toughest part starts – surviving in the top tier with this aging squad. Cup Defeated two lower league teams before a late goal from a top tier side Bohemians knocked us out in an overall even game. Squad stats Michal Petráň – was clinical in front of goal, setting the new Czech second tier record and winning the MVP award. Augusto Batioja – I don't remember if I ever played with regista, but Ecuadorian veteran fits perfectly to this role. Radek Voltr – mostly played on the left wing and became our second goalscorer. Milan Jirásek – did a good job in midfield, as expected. Josef Bazal – unfortunately his good season ended with a cruciate ligaments injury, which is a blow for our next season as well Ondřej Žežulka – clearly lacks strength for a center-back, but played well and eventually was selected into the team of the year. And he’s only 25, almost a youth player here P.Ellison *23b – I said that young defenders could get some playing time, but certainly didn’t expect that kind of progress! No surprise that he became a regular starter even before the winter break. Transfers – two backup players left in winter. Youth intake (preview) Matejka *24a | Bílek *24b | Pulec *24c | Plechatý *24d I hoped that our best prospect would be a goalkeeper as the current first choice is close to retirement, however almost every position in our squad needs some refreshment (maybe except a left-back, we already had three high potential players in two years). In other news, we got first academy improvements and two coaching courses for myself.
  17. FK Viktoria Žižkov Founded in the Žižkov district of Prague in 1903, Viktoria had its best time a century later, winning the national cup in 2001 and finishing third in two next league seasons, but after this immediately relegated from the top tier, came back several times whout any success and eventually appeared in regional leagues. Manager profile The legendary striker from my FM22 Njardvik career. Facilities Quite decent for our current level. Senior squad Our top players are over 30, almost everyone had a contract expiring in a few days, and the most famous player here – a former FM wonderkid Vaclav Kadlec already agreed to leave the team. The first week could actually end this challenge but no one else was poached except a third choice striker. Milan Jirasek, who played for Inter youth teams long ago, will be our leader for now, hopefully he and other veterans won’t decline too fast. While searching for backroom replacements I found a Brazilian coach Lemos Filho who could have become a perfect assistant manager or HOYD, but he only wants to be a fitness coach, what a waste of talent Youth intake 2023 Muxel *23a | Ellison *23b | Vojtíšek *23c We already got the first intake, three players have some potential but they all have to improve physically. Though defenders may have a chance to play in the first team already due to lack of depth on their positions. Judging from the odds, we are the promotion contenders (champions are promoted directly, 2nd and 3rd teams qualify for playoffs). @darren1983 for the opening post - reset date for Czech Republic is June 30, the last fixtures are played on May 28.
  18. Not sure if it works in FM23, but in all previous editions you could just move first 30 trialists to the reserves and invite new ones
  19. There were 3-4 Danish players in each intake (though it's a bit strange that Faroese players don't have Danish citizenship by default, maybe done on purpose so Denmark couldn't poach all their best players). The club has a priority to sign Faroese players, it's not mandatory (I've done a test simulation before the start and after a few seasons the squad was almost fully Danish) but I wanted to play a Bilbao-style career.
  20. April 2034 Well, that's it. We are hopeless against the top teams in Denmark, and honestly I don't see how we could improve. Most of the team leaders either reached their potential or won't ever reach it due to age, any possible transfer would be a only squad depth improvement (four best Faroese players who really can make us stronger are regular starters in better and richer clubs), and academy brought the best player in its history - striker Sigvardsen, but he's very far from the first team with these attributes (I think starting even with a minimal youth setup would have lead us to much better intakes at this point). Still it was a good journey to guide a fully Faroese team from fifth division to mid-table positions in the top tier and even get several European games, maybe I'll try something similar in FM23.
  21. February-March 2034 Apart from Steinholm, we signed one more player during winter window – central midfielder Klakstein who was in our squad on a half-season loan four years ago and now joined on free transfer from Midtjylland reserves. What an opening game, we scored in the first attack, conceded three after this but substitute striker Mouritsen saved a draw with two late goals! It was a successful month overall, we lost to the league leaders but got three home wins and confidently qualified for the top group. The five-point gap from a potential playoff spot is quite concerning, but I think we may catch Randers if carry this form into the next months. National team Two wins over teams from the world’s top 100. FIFA ranking – 126th ( 1) U21: 1-0 (A) vs Lithuania, 2-0 (A) vs Gibraltar in friendlies. U19: 1-2 (A) vs Lithuania, 3-1 (A) vs Gibraltar in friendlies. U18: 1-0 (H) vs Israel, 2-0 (H) vs Lithuania, 3-1 (H) vs Gibraltar in Euro preliminary С – promoted to group B.
  22. November-December 2033 Decided to switch back to 4-3-3, and it worked. Only for two games though National team Øregaard suffered an injury in a game against Brøndby and was replaced. We almost spoiled the perfect year for Norway, leading for about 20 minutes. FIFA ranking – 127th ( 1) U21: 0-0 (H) vs Cyprus, 0-3 (H) vs Spain in Euro qualifiers. U19: 1-0 (N) vs Hungary, 1-1 (A) vs Latvia, 0-0 (N) vs Romania in Euro qualifiers B – finished second. U18: 2-3 (A) vs Croatia, 0-2 (N) vs Poland, 0-2 (N) vs Iceland in Euro preliminary B – relegated to group C. Betrideildin: Vikingur won the title this time while HB had a busier continental schedule and eventually finished third ahead of Sheriff on goal difference! Another excellent preview which isn’t going to become real.
  23. October 2033 Awful form, we only scored once in the league (from a corner) and spent an hour to break down the lower league opposition in the cup. Though with top five teams already being far away I wouldn’t be against dropping into the bottom half as sixth team receive nothing except a bit bigger prize money. National team Two players are suspended for the first game, but no other issues with this squad. After a good first game (we had a chance to equalize and even scored, but Jacobsen's goal was disallowed) we conceded three in first 25 minutes against Romania so avoiding the bottom finish is almost impossible now. FIFA ranking – 126th ( 3) U21: 0-2 (A) vs Austria, 1-2 (H) vs Czech Republic in Euro qualifiers. U19: 2-2 (H) vs Slovakia, 2-0 (H) vs Macedonia in friendlies.
  24. September 2033 We played two decent games against current league leaders, defeated Randers and should have got at least a point against AGF, but conceded a late counter while having a man advantage. Our position in the top half is quite secure so far, though Brøndby should obviously improve their form later. The cup draw is really lucky, after defeating two lower league teams we got another amateurs on the road to quarter-final. National team Some backup players were injured, but all regular starters are here. The almighty Haaland is still there and scored his 130th (!) international goal with a hat-trick, still we managed to get a reasonable result despite Ryggshammar’s red card (he moved to Benfica before this season and is our most expensive player, but his discipline is still a huge problem for the national team). FIFA ranking – 123rd ( 2) U21: 1-4 (A) vs Spain, 3-0 (H) vs Luxembourg in Euro qualifiers. U19: 1-0 (A) vs Armenia, 3-1 (A) vs Azerbaijan in friendlies. U18: 0-1 (A) vs Azerbaijan in friendly.
