    Something which makes me laugh at the lowest levels is when a player (or the players agent) wants a better contract. So you start negotiations, and they end up getting the exact same contract they were already on

    I just told him I'd give him more playing time, which is basically the same playing time as he already gets as it's what he's asked for. If he comes back to me to complain again, I'll just release him.

    Yeah, he's playing full matches. I think I've subbed him off a few times when he's needed to come off, but other than that he puts in a full 90 minutes.

    I think I'm going to go with Wolverhampton Sporting though. I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Wolves, so bringing the other Wolverhampton team up the leagues to maybe one day join them in the Premier League looks like a fun challenge.

    I started getting the Vanarama N/S quality players around October and November, when the scouts started recommending them to me during scouting updates. The few Vanarama National players were recommended around February, which coincided with us looking like we were about to sew up the top spot in the league.

    No! Power just went out in my flat, and I was halfway through saving my game. I really hope it saved properly. Edit: Turns out all the houses down my road lost power. No idea how long it's going to take to come back on...

    I knew about level 7 and above, but didn't know about level 8 and below. So, why did my club turn semi-pro when they gained promotion to level 9, if in real life they'd only be able to offer amateur contracts? I can't offer amateur contracts now...

    Unlucky in the league and FA Vase. Fingers crossed for promotion in your second season. Oh, and here's the logo I made metallic myself. It's not exactly the same as the ones in the pack, but it's very close...

    I can only offer £25 in appearance fees, so I can't even offer my current players new contracts as they'll want more than that...

    OK, so I have a wage budget. For some reason though, I can't offer players a wage. It has to be non-contract, with appearance fees and such. What's the point in the board allowing me a wage budget but not allowing me to offer proper contracts?

    There are logo packs out there which contain some level 10 logos. I especially like the metallic logo packs. They just look nicer. Montpelier Villa's club logo wasn't in the pack I downloaded, so I had to make a metallic looking logo for the club in Photoshop.

    My club is leaking money each month on "Other". We've spent over £5,000 in 14 days on "Other". I wish I knew what it was we're spending so much on...

    Bit unrelated to the actual challenge, but which teams won the World Cup during your first season? The final in my save is a weird one, with Switzerland taking on Mexico. Edit: Switzerland won!

    Is Vanarama North/South also when you can start offering proper contracts, with expiry dates and actual weekly wages?

    Is the player signing becoming more difficult as you rise through the leagues, or are you still easily able to sign players who are realistically too good for the league you're in?
