"go" is also a noun, like in "It's your go."

"tomato" is also a noun, like in "It's your tomato."

When a noun ends in "o", its plural form usually ends with "-es".

I actually don't know where this apostrophe + s comes from. It's always 90s and TVs, not 90's and TV's. Or perhaps, it's because I grow up with American English, the proper English. :brock:

's comes from the fact that it's common to see an apostrophe before an 's' and some people don't know how to distinguish the proper time to use an apostrophe.

For what it is worth, goes and go's are both perfectly accept since the apostrophe in go's simply denotes that the letter 'E' has been emitted in favour of the apostrophe. Let's (or is that let us) not forget that the apostrophe has many uses, one of which is for contracted words. Of which go's would be for the true form of goes. Sure it's informal and nobody would use it but technically speaking it's not incorrect to use go's instead of goes. Same way people might write can't instead of cannot. "Can't" isn't very academic or formal but you can't (cannot :D) say it's not a real word. But hey, what do I know? :brock:

Haha touché.

The equivalent to the likes of leavin' or fallin' then. The apostrophe just denotes a missing letter. It's not a formal use of it but it's not really incorrect to use it either. Just not accepted academically.

I did pm noob, yes. I don't care if people think Messi isn't the best pick, I've been in loads of these drafts over the years and missed out on the glory player, so I wanted to make sure I got him this time. :D

There's a good chance he could well be the highest-scoring player anyway, don't write the little fella off too quickly.

I realize that I'm rambling right now, but this draft would've been different if we waited until all teams were the final 23

Which had me thinking, if somewhere down this draft one of the players picked is not going anymore does he still count?

Well it's not based on WC form, is it?

I think you have to let it count, because there might be an injury past the cutoff date but before the squads cannot be changed.

Rhino :applause:

If you pick a player and he gets cut on Monday(?) then you will have to replace said player. If he's not at the WC, he ain't in my game :p

Thought it would be ok starting before Monday as we would pick the best players first.

The first part is sadly true. I blame the music (noise) the youth nowadays listen to.

You can't because DP has time still left.

If you're not going to be around, PM your choices (best picking two because it will quickly come back to you) to Gizzyspop

e: DP will have until 1.30pm by my reckoning.
