Cheez3y
OK, I found my new save until further time. I always wanted to do Norway again, after failing pretty hard in FM19. Already in heaven with those regens.
JLAB
A.C.N Siena 1904 2026/27 Season Preview The bookies almost feel kinder to us this season than that have in previous years. The odds that we've been given is the kindest that they have ever presented us with, even if they still predict we'll finish in the bottom five and in the relegation playoffs this season. Even if we've been close to finishing in the top half in three of my first five seasons in charge of Siena, I'm still taking things one step at a time with the idea that we could have a bad run of form which would end our season faster than we'd like to admit, especially if our board decides to sell one of our better players again. I've got two tactics in mind, both laid our very differently, but both with a similar idea in mind. Both of the formations rely on the full backs playing as wing-backs that will roam up and down the flanks, with three central midfielders taking control of the middle for extra strength in the middle of the park. The similarities end there though, for the formation on the left requires us to have three centre backs, with the two full backs doing their business, though they were originally wing backs in a 5-3-2 WB formation, instead of a 5-3-2 formation. We're looking to pass the ball shorter, force the opponents outside, which having a lower line of engagement with the idea of hitting our opponents on the counter attack, as we don't have the pace to defend a high line. The formation on the right however, relies on us pressing the opponents to hard that we will get the ball back quickly, but with the high line, if we're slow, we're not as likely to be able to respond to high balls over the top. What I did know was that the front two did work for us last season, with Rokas Krusnauskas scoring 21 goals last season, even if he didn't get any assists. So I know that a Pressing Forward will get me goals, but it's more about making sure that we can do better defensively too. With the three strikers on show being players that my team is recommending that I use, but with Rokas despite being my top goalscorer being the one to miss out due to Scarpato being much better as a Pressing Forward, and Fofana my most recent young striker coming in through my latest intake, I wonder if I do need to start pushing out the striker that has consistently scored 10+ goals every season, or if I need to be more patient with him and slowly ease Fofana into the first team as the Deep Lying Forward or not. The opportunity to rush Fofana into the first team is tempting, but I feel that trying to ease him into the first team is probably the better idea overall. Ayoub Fantozzi, despite being my best player in the squad is the one player that I can see myself without come the beginning of the season due to the fact that he only has a single year left on his contract, is attracting interest from bigger clubs and he is refusing to sign a new contract, which even when he was willing to talk, wanted to put a minimum release clause of just about £300K in his contract. To me, I'd need more than that kind of money and would require a 50% profit of the next sell to even consider selling next season. It's a shame that he can't see why I'm wanting around £800K and not the peanuts kind of money he's wanting to leave for, especially with Mazza having yet to play a single league game since he left us too. Carminati is easily my first choice centre back without a question, but with Nicotra and Carlucci I feel that I have a defensive partnership that will eventually become my number one choice going forward. Going forward I can't just rush Carlucci into the first team (despite showing him as one of the CB options for the formation previews) because I don't think he's good enough at the moment, however being only 15, he's got plenty of time to grow into a really good talent. Can we be really productive going forward? Absolutely. It's just a matter of developing the players who are coming through and being more consistent.
SoSolidSnake
So it turns out that the top 4 places in 3. Liga take part in the DFB Pokal, so finishing in the top 4 non-second teams means we are finally entering our first cup competition this season! EDIT: We play Bayer Leverkeusen - big game! SoSolidSnake
Well I hate to see him go, but I can't really refuse that, not to mention that he was unlikely to sign another contract. The finances almost look healthy for once! (Although we're still projected to have a £1.3m loss at the end of the season.)

vikeologist
Vikeologist's 2028/29 Folkestone Season Report We were doing well until our main striker, and indeed main player, David Smith picked up an injury for 3 months, and then almost as soon as he returned, a hip injury requiring 6 months. I’ve tried a number of different tactics and formations this season, trying in vain to find the magic seed. It’s possible that no tactic on earth will make us a playoff team, although without Smith’s injury we might have sneaked in. However, overall we did do much better this season. Top Goalscorer - David Smith – 24 Even though he only played 31 matches because of injury, he was still comfortably our top scorer. 298 for me in total. Obviously this season has been a big blow to my hopes of him hitting a high total. He was on course for a new high. There’s no guarantee he’ll be fit for the start of next season. Highest Average Rating (minimum 10 matches played) – David Smith – 7.15 The only player above 7, and no one else was even close. Man of The Match – David Smith – 7 Most Valuable Player– David Smith. As was clearly demonstrated when he was injured. Most Appearances (Regens) – Lachlan Cook 1b – 342 Still a couple of matches ahead of Jason Ramsay, because frankly Jason is a psychopath, and is occasionally banned for trying to cripple the opposition. Most Goals (Regens) – Ellis Andrews 2c - 77 Only 19 goals in practically a full season. He was injured for about 6 weeks. He seems to be regressing each season, and it’s not like I don’t have any other options now. However, apart from my 8a and 8b regens (who only played 3 matches) and David Smith, he did still have the best goals per minute rate, albeit narrowly. Season Division Position Notes MVP 21/22 VNL South 18th Steered clear of relegaton thanks to good start. Callum Davies 22/23 VNL South 16th Only 2 places better, but a lot more points. Henry Newcombe 23/24 VNL South 18th Big step backwards in points. David Smith 24/25 VNL South 15th Consistently mediocre. David Smith 25/26 VNL South 14th Just outside playoffs for most of the season. David Smith 26/27 VNL South 16th Otherwise known as the year 1AD (After Discipline) Ellis Andrews 2c 27/28 VNL South 19th Narrowly avoided relegation places all season David Smith 28/29 VNL South 15th Tried different tactics. Didn't find a magic bean. David Smith

Ye I meant the tactical instruction, as it just makes it even more concentrated in the middle, making your players really crowd the middle. Its changed since last year where it used to make them more attacking, but it instead just makes your players gravitate to that part of the pitch. By doing that you'd drag the opposition in the middle of the pitch to try and defend you, opening up the flanks even more for your fullbacks.
keeper#1
South Shields January 1, 2030 Mid-Season Update We sit firmly in the playoffs places after a very solid November and December where we switched back to a 4-4-2 after dicking around with a strikerless formation that really didn't mesh well with the team. The players are much happier now that they are playing in formation that they are comfortable playing. No more square passes directly to the opposition which starts a counter attack. They know where their teammates are and pass the ball much more efficiently . This striker better be good given the way the rest of the intake looks. However, I noticed that this is my U23 Manager assessment of the intake. My HoYD differs slightly in opinion. It can be situational, I toggle with mine all the time to target weak areas of the other teams You might also wanna think about having a bwm(d) as your holding player player in the cautious one as they have the always close down pi. Basically meaning you'll lose your defensive shape as that player will be chasing everyone. unless you want that of course! Might also want to think about about an attacking role in the 3 midfielder's in the positive one too, so you have someone going into the space created by the dlf(s)

officiallydeej
Arzachena Academy Costa Smeralda - 2022/23 Season Review Promotion Playoff - Cups - Squad - Finances - Transfers I was expecting regression this season but my young lads stepped up and delivered an outstanding season. We were actually 4th going into game week 29 but fatigue took it's toll and we ended up sliding down to 9th, securing a play off place with a final day win against relegated Nocerina. The play off itself was a step too far and Teramo brushed us aside with ease, but on the whole this was an excellent season. The big appeal to Italy for me is the ability to have 11 subs, meaning although only 1 of the young lads (Corradini, 32apps 12 goals) made himself a first team regular 10 of the 11 subs I named when at full strength were from the first intake. They all racked up valuable minutes for their development and Budroni (22c) and Barcella (22d) are both making strong cases to be part of my strongest starting 11 next term. I'm still wary that the league comparisons still show us as the weakest side in the league and my final position this season was helped massively by a seven match winning run after the winter break (do other teams not know how to manage match fitness?!) so i'm still looking down rather than up at the moment going into next season. Finances slid into the red for the first time but not until we managed to squeeze in 2 more academy coaching upgrades and 1 more recruitment upgrade. Only one player left, Carboni was another of the starter players I couldn't offer a pro contract to as he was transfer listed when I joined the club. Stefano Benini Another decent intake, it's just a shame the best personalities are at the bottom rather than the top! I signed all except 5 and have hopes Benini, Piras and Mangione will be contributing to the first team sooner rather than later.

Cheez3y
Ok I wanted to wait, but I really like this one. The Berwick save is not dead yet, but... I lovin my time in Norway. End Of Season Review 2022 - PostNord Avdeling 1 The media prediction was a solid 8th. We got this guys as first rengens, when Lyn was still unplayable. All ready 3 great combinations. Then we got the first real intake and I was gettin better. Vietnam and Bolivia! Also one guy appeared all the way from England. And we got a pretty decent guy with Palestine roots. The best one are those ones: Vo Van Hoa // Jason Green // Mohammed Said // Magnus Nyhus // Birger Fazi Love it! Also we got some nice improvements in case of bagdes and facilities. Youth Recruitment: Adequate -> Average + Average -> Good Junior Coaching: Adequate -> Good + Good -> Excellent Bagdes: Nat C Licence + Nat B Licence Games: Cup + League Player Stats Table And the YI Preview for 2023 looks decent. XaW
Good luck with Lyn @Cheez3y! They used to be a rather big club, but when bust (bankrupcy) in the 2000s. They were the club involved with the whole John Obi Mikel to Man Utd/Chelsea deal that was a major mess. Also, Ighalo played for them for a while since they used to have good connections to a lot of academies around Africa though some agents or stuff. I've been to a few of their games when I was young (I was even a ball boy occasionally), so I'm quite familiar with the team!
VooDooYouDo
Belenenses 3rd Season in the Primeira (2028-29). So last season we finished 6th and qualified for the Europa Conference League, somehow. We also lost our 2 best defenders at the end of the season. Unsurprisingly, our defense suffered immensely this season, with more goals allowed than our first season up (59 this season, 47 when we finished 13th in our first season here.. and 29 last season). Thankfully we have some better goal scorers now, 42 now vs 28 2 season ago. Our form at the start of the season ensured we were not worrying about relegation, but damn... Oh, and the Europa Conference League? We crashed out in the Quarter Finals, at home. Those Belgian teams are tough. When our Fourth Qualifying Round Match gave us Krasnodar, I assumed we were out then..but we beat them 4-0 at home which really sealed our group round entry. We also reached the Final in the Taca da Liga, losing to Porto ofc. We've had horrid end of season form for a while now, none worse than this one though. Next season I'll be testing out some less intensive tactics, as maybe the gegenpress and counterattacking tactics are wearing the players out too much. The only player I'm losing at the end of the season here is Savinho, to Milan. They came in the offseason, off the back of our 6th place finish, and they agreed to an end of season transfer. The only other players facing bids during the season were my attackers, Pataca and Fiel, but they were lowball offers and I wasn't worried about them becoming unsettled. We've got a new stadium in the works. Intake Preview Even as we're in the top and our players improve, we keep getting "Golden Generation". Probably because we're still not *as good* as the top teams in the league, and our now max level everything (training + youth training, recruitment, youth coaches) keeps churning out players at least at our current level. The Intake A Model Citizen! And he's our top guy! Whoa. Don't think I've ever gotten a Model Citizen in an intake in my history of FM. And, yet again, another 2 GKs. ooo and a Moldovan! To sum it up, we did **** in the league, got to the final of the league cup, and the quarter final of the Europa Conference League. We only lost a mercenary midfielder going into next season, so I'm expecting improvement. Oh, and Portugal is now ahead of France in league reputation so we have better European qualifying slots.

ANGL
CLUB ESPORTIU EUROPA - SEASON 3 (23/24) League table - Best season so far! Started very well, with 4 wins and 1 draw in the first 5 games, and stayed on top until matchweek 8. After that we got some bad results, and went down to mid-table. The final 9th position wil allow us (if I'm not wrong) to play Copa del Rey next season. First team squad (1 and 2) - Georg Borchman 2a is the best prospect of the club, and had a promising first season with 11 goals and 3 assists. He ended up playing in the left wing, as Cesar 1h was scoring lots of goals, and ended up being the top goalscorer for the second season in a row. No transfers made.Youth Intake - For the third year, the preview talked about a golden generation, what makes me think that we are no progressing enough in terms of squad quality. A lot of unambitious players within youth candidates. Cristian Prades is considered the best prospect, with Xavier Asensio, Adrià Moral and Wilfried Ebongué also looking good. Club Structure - Just after the end of season 2, we had big news: a takeover! At first everything went well, I kept my job, the new owner injected 130k € to help with club debts and I got Continental C License. But that's the only positive, as every single petition to the board made after that has been rejected. We are still a semi-pro club and our facilities remain unchanged. This will totally take a long long time to complete, if I am able to do so. EDIT: just realised that I made a mistake and copied season 2 report insted of season 3, changed it. Merry Christmas everyone! Edited December 25, 2020 by ANGL
Cheez3y
Youth Intake 2023 Wow. At this stage I dont expect such a good one. Only 2 Unambitious guys, the rest you can work with. Innavaer and Bekteshi are really looking great. We got one guy from Iceland out of a city with the beautiful name Hrunamannahreppur. Also Bulgaria, Kosovo and a 2nd player from Syria.

Got some good results at the beggining, which helped to stay mid-table with a comfortable 5 to 10 point margin above relegation zone for almost all the season. A good run near the end made us be close to 10th position, which would have given us acces to Copa del Rey for the next season, but lost the three final matches. First team squad - With the lack of players in the first season, most of the first youth intake went straight to the first team. Of note, Cesar 1h's 17 goals and 6 assists, a great surprise as I only was expecting him to be a decent substitute. José Ramón Sánchez has been the best player of the team this season. No transfers in or out.Youth Intake - The preview talked about a terrific group of players, and for the second year we have a squad full of 5-star potential players. The striker form Barcelona is Georg Borchman 2a, who I think that will go straight to the first team, and that pace will surely help in a lower league like mine. Still, I have to decide if I will be playing him as a winger or central striker. Luigi Pellegrini 2b has also caught the eye, and probably will have minutes with the first team squad too. I don't feel the rest are ready for first-team yet, so I think they will go between our B team and Under 19s. Club Structure - Well, I'm quite unhappy about it, and it may be my fault. At the start of the season, just some days after the season 1 report I wrote here, my board suggested creating a B team. Yes, of course, I thought without hesitating, that will help player progression and can't make any harm. Days after I discovered it did: the board decided also to spend more than 500.000€ in building a useless stadium for the B team, spending all the money we had in the bank. So here I am now, in red numbers, and getting all my requests rejected for economical reasons. The only positive has been that I made another coaching course, holding now a National A License. We are still semi-pro, and no changes happened to our facilities. I hope we can make some progress next season, as I'm starting to feel a little bit stuck there. You make me want to re-start this challenge in Spain whenever you post. Namely, because this club is from Gracia which is the neighborhood one of my closest friends currently lives in and is quite a nice neighborhood with lots of squares. In FM20 I picked a random team in the Tercera from the Balearic Islands, liking their colors and badge, and it ended up being her village team (CE Andratx)! I only ended up getting them to LaLiga 2 though...
Cheez3y
What to do with him? Striker? Nah Winger? Yeah? I was thinking of AMC. His off the ball is sh*t, but he is 15. The rest looks pretty good. Edited December 25, 2020 by Cheez3y

I think I try him as DLP first, since I need a good one. He is already the best player in CM.

DazRTaylor
@XaWone thing I do is add an * to a players name via the nickname (so David Graham YP22E5* for example) for all players who have any sort of minimum fee clause. It prompts me to offer new deals to them a lot of the time to either increase it or get rid of it altogether.

And I've tried to give them new ones for a long while, but they never will without that clause. It is what it is though, so I'll manage.
keeper#1
South Shields 2030 Youth Intake Now, this looks like a golden generation. Good personalities at the top. Bad personalities at the bottom. Samuel David based on his star rating looks like he should be a class player. Green rated players from top to bottom. This is a player that I can get on board with having on the roster. He will turn into an excellent passer. Wants to help the team at all costs and lead them to victory. Tall and lanky means he could be an ideal target man but I'm going to train him as a deep-lying forward. I'm not a fan of the target man role. This guy is someone that I can build a team around if other forwards leave the team for greener pastures. Bobby Thompson 30B is a midfielder who can move into the lineup rather quickly. He is a solid all-around midfielder. His only negative is his height standing at only 5'4". He can pass. He can tackle. He can do it all. A great building block for the club going forward. Blair Gray 30C is another winger who will be trained to be an advanced forward. He's a better finisher than David. Another player willing to put in the hardwork on the field even though his "unambitious" personality means he may not be willing to put the work in off. Should project to be a super sub at worst, starter at best. Matt Almond 30D is an interesting player. He's not a great marker but a great tackler. He's not a great passer or hard worker on the field. However, he's brave as hell. So, let's slide him back into the formation and convert him into a center back. It's a position where we have two great options in the starting lineup but the backup options are subject. Almond could step into the lineup as a center back in short order. Karl McLean 30E is another hard working midfielder. He's not the most technical player but in the lower divisions like League One this isn't a problem. We need depth up the middle of the field and McLean can bring this to South Shields quickly. Smart and driven players like McLean can go a long way in this game even if they aren't the most technical players.
XaW
AFC Rushden & Diamonds Season 2032/33 review Table | Squad | Transfers | Finances So it seems like we are now an established top half Championship team. We had a good season, but we lost a few key players this season as well, so I'm having to push up youngsters before they are really ready. But it all works out fine, I guess. We also had a good start this season, and we quickly were part of the teams fighting to stay around the playoff spots. I should also note that Crystal Palace won the league by a mile, or rather 32 points, but it's still a mile away from the rest. In the end we finished in a very decent 5th place and went into the playoffs. There we faced Hull City, but lost both matches, so no promotion for us this season around. Still it was a solid season, and I hope we can repeat it next time around. We are continuing to improve the facilities, and expanding the stadium. We now have a capacity of 7,008, but we are currently working on expanding it with 2,145 more. Also, we got a higher youth rating now, as we got bumped up to level 3! The preview keeps being good. And the intake was great with some very talented players. The pick of the players is Kaine Knibbs-Westcarr 33b. In the FA Cup we lost to Hull City in the 3rd round. In the EFL Cup we beat Birmingham, Watford and Reading before losing to Bristol Rovers in the 4th round.
