2066 World Cup - Belgium

The team is kind of realistic to nowadays where they have a couple of really top end world class players but then the rest of squad are just decent.  In my case, the defence is really lacking any quality and i have 2.5 star quality as my starters.  Centre midfield is ok, but rely on a 34 year old PSG midfielder to do most of the grunt work.  Front three are ok and dont have anything to complain about the depth there.

Not the ideal nation to be managing going into the world cup but didnt really have a choice. Leading into the World Cup, our friendlies were against two nations where i won their continental cups in Argentina and South Africa.  I beat Argentina 2 - 0 and drew with Sth Africa  1 - 1.   Our group consist of Nigeria and Japan so no real guarantees.  First game against Nigeria and we needed to come back twice to eventually score the winner in the 78th minute.  That win meant we had already qualified before playing Japan as they drew with each other, Japan needed to better our result against Nigeria to qualify.  We pummelled them 8 - 0 lol   Next up was fellow Asian country China.

Second Round

Spoiler

the first half was a real tight affair, we couldnt create any real goal threat opportunities as China was shutting us down.  We managed to score a couple just after half time to get to the third round.  Thats all that was expected of me from the board.  Up next Mexico

Third Round (if applicable)

Spoiler

Dont know what it is but there always seems to be an early red card in my teams in big games and so we had to play over 85 minutes of normal time down a man.  Mexico started pressing really hard and so it was evident we need to change the strategy.  This seemed to work as we also started to create chances on the break.  However our dreams were shot in the 73rd minute as the only goal of the game went to the Mexicans.

I would have loved to see what we could have done for the rest of the tournament as i wasnt sure whether this team had it or not.   Quarter final against Italy, Semi against France and Final against Portugal (they offered me the role before accepting Beligum) would have been the run in.

After the tournament, i really wanted an Asian team to go for the Asian Cup next year.  The only job that came up in Asia is Australia which i gladly took.

2067 Asian Cup - Australia

Managing my home country in a time during the save where they are very competitive, despite losing both group games in the World Cup.  But thats ok, its the reason why the opportunity came up in the first place. But its probably the fashion of how they lost which got me sceptical, losing 3 - 1 against Denmark and then getting trounced 5 - 0 by Ecuador.

The team is quite nicely balanced, some good centre backs, half decent full backs, one gun attacking mid and a decent other and a gun striker and ok wingers.  Dont really have a strong DM but thats ok.

Our group consists of minnows Sri Lanka and Pakistan but also had China.  The strategy is all about avoiding South Korea and hopefully beating them if or when we do meet.   We won our three group games 4 - 0, 4 - 0 and 2 - 1 in games where i was able to rotate the team.  In the second round we face Japan who came third in their group to Thailand and Syria. We have also avoided South Korea on our side of the draw.

Second Round

Spoiler

Japan have fully fallen off the radar in this save as we smashed them 5 - 0.  In my last two games managing against them my teams have scored 13 goals to none haha.  Up next is Thailand

QF (if applicable)

Spoiler

An easy 4 - 1 win.  Up next we have Malaysia in the semis and we really should be beating them so it's a bit of a chance to rest a player or two for the final

SF (if applicable)

Spoiler

it took a while to get the first goal which came in injury time of the first half.  We scored again after the break before they pulled on back in the 85th minute.  We scored two minutes later to rest the nerves.  Unsurprisingly, South Korea are our opponents in the final

Final (if applicable)

Spoiler

Off to the best possible start scoring in the second minute with our first chance.  Then doubling our lead in the 16th minute.  We then scored our third in the 70th as we were cruising to the Cup.  South Korea had other ideas tho as they pegged one back in the 74th minute and then scored a second in the 93rd minute.  Luckily for me it was all too late and we held on. Asian Cup tick!   Only the World Cup to go.  Ill stay on till the Euros/Copa is on next year in June or maybe i will resign.

We joined 10-ish games into the season with Pohang rooted to the foot of the table. I was pretty surprised at their league position because their squad is easily good enough for the top 4 of the league.

We made a few excellent signings, and over the course of the next 25 games or so, displayed Championship winning form. We eventually finished safely in 7th, but due to the end-of-season league split, we actually had the 5th most points in the league.

I was surprised that nobody gave us any trouble in the league at all, so I'm not looking for a new Korean team. I genuinely think we can complete Asia with these, so I'll be staying for the foreseeable future.

My aim for the first season at a new club is to just settle in and build for the next season and season after if need be.

I have been very lucky to win a lot of silverware so far but I am now taking on the harder leagues.

My aim this season is to try win the Italian Cup and get a decent league finish.

If I see a better team come available then I will jump ship.

A nice Italian Cup win was the only trophy we could of realistically won this season and we managed to do it.

image.thumb.png.f8fba9e4a60b0219bd800027cd807ca0.png

We finished a decent 5th place in the league which was way above the board's expectations of us just staying in the league.

Realistically we wont be able to win the league title with Genoa.

So my next move is to leave Genoa for a bigger club in Italy, France, Germany, Spain or England.

Watch this space.

A club with great history but under-achievers over the years.

I am hoping to win them a cup and hopefully win the league or help my career getting a bigger club job.

A good enough squad to win the FA Cup I think.

I don't think I will be at Everton long cos even if I win the FA Cup in my first season I don't think I will be able to win the title.

I am basically at this point trying to collect cups while I wait for a bigger club in one of the big Europeon leagues to hire me.

My reputation is only 70% so hopefully a good cup run with Everton will get my reputation up and gives me a better chance of getting a top job soon.

So I have applied for the Man City, Newcastle and Hertha Berlin jobs.

Hopefully I get one of these.

Newcastle finished lower then Everton but have a way better team so I have a better chance of winning the Prem with them.

I was going to resign from Everton at the end of the season anyway so it is no big loss.

End of Season 6 Update

spacer.png

Competitions Overview . Results

We did everything that I expected us to do. We won the Nedbank Cup, but unfortunately we couldn't sneak into top spot. In the end we just started too far behind to have any real chance. The very promising thing is the we were unbeaten ever since I took over and that looks very promising for this coming season, where we have to win the Premiership and qualify for the Champions League.

spacer.png

spacer.png

spacer.png

Thankfully we won the Africa Cup of Nations. I was expecting us to win it but we didn't get off to a great start. I decided to play the weakest team that I could, against Cape Verde thinking that Mali would be our hardest opposition. We played terribly and were lucky that it wasn't 5 or 6. We fought back well against Mali and Madagascar was a formality. The knockout rounds were pretty straightforward. We battered Morocco, and controled the game against DR Congo. Ghana looks close but they never had a chance, and we had an insanely easy final, despite having 2 men sent off.

So that's one of the International comps ticked off, and I have about 2 weeks to wait until the Gold Cup has finished, and hopefully the USA or Mexico job will become available.

Was looking for a new challenge after winning the UCL with Isle of Man... this seems like a (very) good one. Been searching for that FM urge again after a few weeks, lets try it.

Any tips for new challengers?

I have a lot of tips, but I try to not put every single tip at the start of the thread. just the ones that can avoid your save becoming unfeasible.

For FM23 the first piece of advice is critical. I don't think you'll be able to complete the challenge unless you do this.

A Very Small Piece of Advice

I recommend using the advanced option when setting up the game to add current international players from Asia. This should increase the number of nations available to manage in Asia, and make it possible to win the Asian Cup.

There are lots of different ways of going about this challenge. Should one start at a lower division club in a high reputation nation or the top division of a low reputation nation? Time and experience has provided some measure of insight into this, but I hope that new starters will explore their own path (or read the first 1,300 or so posts to find out). I will give one piece of advice though.

Don't take the first job you're offered at the start of the game. It may be worth waiting 6 months of unemployment at the start of your game for the right opportunity. Starting at too low a club can add several seasons to your challenge. It's going to take you long enough as it is.

There's more good advice, and pitfalls to avoid sprinkled throughout the 200 or so pages of the 3 challenge threads, but as i say, i try not to spoil things for people too much.

Not a great idea to take an international job straight away or even in the early stages of the challenge, but some have managed to progress despite doing that.

Initial expectations are achieving the First Round of the SA Cup and a top half finish, with a view to be promoted in the next two seasons.

The squad is in a dire state on the whole, though good enough to at least do what is expected this season. I'm almost 20% over the allotted budget (budget 1.1m p/a, actual 1.3m p/a) and the majority of my squad are attacking midfielders.

There are 14 options at AM (R), 12 at AM (C), 9 at ST, 6 at M (C), 5 at AM (L), 3 at D(C), 3 at DM (C), 3 at D (R), and 2 at D (L).

Due to league rules, I have to field at least 3 U23 players, of which there are 5 in the squad, leaving me pretty much stuck with 3 undroppable players, as one of the U23s has a long-term injury. Based on the positions and skill set of the players available to me, I'll be fielding a home-brew 4-1-1-3-1, which is really just a 4-3-3 DM with one of the central midfielders pushed into the AMC slot (they're offset, so MCR and AMCL). Our center backs are not strong in the air but have decent pace, so we'll play a high defensive line, while our forward players are in the same mold, so we're gonna play through the middle with normal passing and try to get looks in behind where we can.

I'm feeling extra ambitious, so I will be attempting this challenge concurrently with five managers from five different continents. The first manager to land a job is Kim Vonk, from South Africa:

Not sure what you mean concurrently. If you mean you're going to have 5 managers going at the same time, I mean, that's fine, but the whole point of the challenge is to be one manager. I'm not saying you wouldn't be allowed to post here. It will be interesting to see how you get on, because it will make the challenge significantly harder. After 9 years of the challenge, I'm up for something different, but I think you'd have to have some rules, such as your clubs not selling players to each other, or what you do if 2 of your clubs or nations play each other.

If you mean something completely different I apologise.

Yes, I will have 5 managers going at the same time, with nationalities from the 5 different continents (Brazil, S Africa, France, China, Mexico).

For the rules, I'll probably just vacation for 1 day for both managers on the day they play each other (should that ever arise), as for buying players from each other, I can either just never do it, or delegate the transaction to staff (GM or whomever) should it arise. I don't intend to meta between the 5 managers, if that makes sense, I want each manager to only use knowledge they would have (in fact, I plan to delegate quite a bit to limit the amount of work I have to do for each manager, possibly only sign players recommended to me by scouting staff etc).

Premiership Table . Competition Overview

Another simple and easy undefeated season. We have assembled a good team that can just about handle all of the competitions, although playing 6 games in 14 days really put that to the test. This season is all about the Champions League. Thankfully now that every single competition in South Africa has been won, I can really prioritise the Champions League although I still expect to win the majority if not all of the South African comps.

There wasn't any international jobs available after the Gold Cup last season, so I'll be waiting until after the World Cup to see what becomes available.

2070 World Cup - Portugal

After winning the Asian Cup, it was a year wait for the Euro & Copa for the next gig that was realistic to win the World Cup.  I applied for a few jobs including Spain, England, Brazil however Spain, Turkey and Portugal were the first ones to respond.  Neither of these were my preferred nation but wasnt prepared to run the risk rejecting these and then not being offered the others.   The choice was a difficult one, but i went with the current Wold Champions in Portugal. The objective was to make the semi finals so that was a good sign that they had belief in the players we had.

We were given quite an easy group of Morocco and Jaimaca as we won both games.  In the third round, we got Canada in favourable draw.

Second Round

Spoiler

smashed them 6 - 1. Another favourable draw in Nigeria who beat USA in pens next

Third Round (if applicable)

Spoiler

Another drumming of 4 - 0.  The fun begins now with Holland in the QF

QF (if applicable)

Spoiler

With Hollands first chance, they opened up the scoring in the 3rd minute.  That kicked out butt into gear as we then went bang bang scoring in the 5th and 7th minutes to take the lead. Holland then equalised in the 26th minute and then we copped a demoralising goal 3 minutes into injury time of the first half to go into the break down 3 - 2.  We had the possession and were creating the better chances but Holland then went on and scored another in the 61st minute.  We managed to pull one back 6 minutes later and despite throwing the kitchen sink at them for the last 20 minutes, we were not able to take the game into extra time.   Surprisingly, i was not sacked after the tournament but i did take the Spain job and will holiday for a few years.

A 90% winning record in this challenge is not super unusual, although it is impressive.

I just looked at my winning percentage for this challenge attempt and it's only 70%, but that's largely because the challenge was particularly difficult in the months after the game came out because of bugs.

Lately, my winning percentage has been killed because of my disastrous Bundesliga attempts, which when we get to the end of the season I'm playing will be demonstrated to have continued, despite changing team (with a season in Scotland in the middle) to the league champions.

The nature of this challenge is that it attracts people who obtain very high winning percentages, and then (if they have any sense) only take jobs where they'll continue to obtain very high winning percentages..

In my previous attempt, in the second half of the challenge, I finished 1st every full season i managed. Actually the same thing was pretty much happening this attempt until

@vikeologist getting the European competitions knocked out quick from 2039 to 2043 there! England, Italy, Spain, and France in consecutive seasons. Did you leave Leverkusen because you had an easy chance to steamroll Scotland with Celtic, or because you felt like it was going to be too much work to make them a true contender (respectfully)?

Looks like I have a squad good enough to win the Premiership and Champions League.

Unfortunately Chelsea underachieved last season and finished 7th so we are only playing Europa League football this season.

I will be using the Europa League, League Cup and FA Cup as games to rotate players and concerntrate on the Premiership.

My aim is the win the Premiership and Champions League. Hopefully I can win the Club World Cup as well.

Starting this challenge now. It took us 14 days and a lot of rejections, but finally we have a club! La Luz Fútbol Club is a team from the second division of Uruguay, which was founded in 1929 in their capital, Montevidéu. The club ascended to this division in real life in 2022, after 13 years of playing in the "amateur" level (only the first and second divisions are considered professionals), and now plays at the highest national level against the likes of Nacional and Peñarol. Their home is the Estadio Municipal Parque Liebig's.

As i said, Fran Vilani was named the manager of La Luz in 03/07/2022, and we already have a game in 09/07/2022, against "Villa Española". From the little a could see already, our three best players are Juan Quintana, Nicolás Royón and Nicolás Schiappacasse (yes, that one from Atlético Madrid and Sassuolo, still only 23 years old).

I'll check the squad more later this day when work and social is done, and will update on the next step of the challenge. Lets go!

Edit: please alert me if something is missing, and sorry for any bad english.

Vikeologist's 2051 Asian Cup Report

australia national football team logo 3D Model

Been a while since I did this challenge, and frankly if I don’t win this Asian Cup, I might go back to my 1,000 goal challenge attempt.

Having spent 10 years with Spain, France and Italy failing to win either the World Cup or Euro, I gave up and took the Australia job with the Asian Cup only 7 or so months away.

Australia have won the last 3 Asian Cups, and 5 of the 7 during the save. I managed them before, but quit to take the Brazil job. This is my first Asian cup since failing in the final with Iran all the way back in 2027.

I don’t think the squad is great, particularly my defenders, but hopefully it’s all comparative.

Group Stage

Spoiler

 Australia     9-0    Hong Kong

Australia     7-3    Iraq

Australia     7-0    Bahrain

One suspects it may get harder later in the competition.

Jordan next though. In fact the other top 3 Asian nations, China S Korea and Iran are all in the other half of the draw.

Second Round (if applicable)

Spoiler

Australia     8-0    Jordan

Likely slightly tougher Syria next.

Quarterfinal (if applicable)

Spoiler

Australia     3-0    Syria

Next up Saudi Arabia

Semi-final (if applicable)

Spoiler

Australia     4-1    Saudi Arabia

Well, there you go. The easiest draw to a final I’ve ever had. A massive shift in quality of opponent in the final, and it’s my old nation, Iran.

(If I’m honest though, I’m pretty confident).

Final (if applicable)

Spoiler

Australia     5-2    Iran

We were 3-0 up after 3 minutes. Only 3-1 up a minute later, and nearly only 3-2 up about a minute later. Thankfully things calmed down a bit after that.

After the tournament

Spoiler

No need to stay on. I suppose it’s been quite fun bossing every match, but now I need to find nation(s) to win the Euros and World cup with, and most of the contenders are my exes, plus England will never give me the job.

An unbelievable feat to win the Bundesliga with Hertha in your first season!   A competition both Vikeo and I struggled with!

Yeah Bayern and Dortmund were making it hard but I find once you find a tactic that works it is easy enough to beat the AI.

Luck also has something to do with it.

I am dreading taking on the French league with any team other then PSG because PSG are so dominant.

My tactics just don't seem to work in Germany, although i also blame my players. I hate the Dortmund players so much. They're frauds.

Yeah I found other countries more frustrating.

Maybe I have been very lucky in my career so far.

I hope you turn it around in Germany if you aint already and finally dethrone Dortmund and Bayern Munich.

I have dethroned Dortmund, (they're the reigning champions), but unfortunately I did it by becoming their manager.

If you can't beat them, join them.

As long as you succeed in your career that is all that matters.

I tried to do the same when I applied for the Kaizer Chiefs job. You look for the right opportunities.

Vikeologist's 2050/1 Dortmund Report

image.thumb.jpeg.bbf4bc415dc7d7c96c6d73338badd7d6.jpeg

I obtained the Dortmund job, and then played the 1,000 goal challenge for a while. I had zero doubt though that, on resuming the challenge, I could take Dortmund to the title in one season. I didn’t think I needed to even change much. I didn’t even set up training for the B and U19 team. Just plug, play, win.

But it didn’t work out like that. We finished a distant 2nd and only above 3rd on goal difference. We struggled from the start, and although we improved slightly, we were still a poor second to Bayern in the second half of the season. What’s worse, we were knocked out of the cup after Bayern had already gone out. Our points tally was miles below any I achieved with Leverkusen.

So I’m going to have to go back to basics. Sign young players and build for the future. Hopefully we’ll win next season, but I need to ensure that we win eventually.

Top Goalscorer – Tuğrul Özcan – 37

A good striker, but the only good striker we had, and he was injured a lot.

Highest Average Rating (minimum 10 matches played) Tuğrul Özcan – 7.62

Man of The Match – 2 players – 6

I started my career with La Luz. I hope you do better then I did when I managed them :D

Good luck buddy.

2074 World Cup - Spain

So i decided to jump ship after failing with Portugal to world number 3 rank Spain. I just felt that the Spanish team was better equipped to try and win it.  The expectation was that we make at least the semis to keep my job so thats always a good sign that the level of players are there.

Im pretty sure this is the second time in charge of Spain, but at this point of the save, my memory is becoming a blur!

In the Euros, in order to keep my job we had to make the final which we did. I instant resulted the final which we ended up losing to Italy in extra time.

We opened up the World Campaign with a 2 - 1 loss to Paraguay and straight away alarm bells were ringing! Our next game against Morocco was vital and we fell behind in the 31st minute and were facing an early exit.  We tucked away a pen in the 56th minute and then scored the winner in the 72nd minute but these were bad signs this early on.   We were somehow randomly chosen to go through to the next round given our record, goal difference and number of yellow cards were all even.   Can you imagine the controversy if that happened in real life!!!

Screenshot2023-10-05091756.thumb.png.cb866e5f673576df41a5c55236a4f943.png

So we were given a huge lifeline, can we make the most of it?   Up next in the secnd round was Belgium who we beat in the Euro quarter final 3 - 0 two years ago,

a solid performance resulting in a 2 - 0 win.  Just the win that was needed.  Up next is Croatia

Third Round (if applicable)

Absolutely dominated but just couldnt find the opening goal.  In at half time at 0 - 0 and after the break was much of the same.   In a complete FM game, they went ahead in the 74th minute with their second chance then doubled their lead 3 minutes later with their third chance.  We went attacking and finally scored in the 86th minute but then copped a sealer in the 92nd min to lose 3 - 2.  And with that comes the sack!

End of Season 8 Update

Competitions Overview . League Table . Champs League Results

My time in Africa is over. We had one goal this year and it was simply to win the Champions League. We completed that pretty easily, although we did have a couple of bumps in the road, mainly due to unavalability of goalkeepers due to International call ups. Thankfully however we qualified from our group and then sailed through the rest of the knockout stages. Domestically we had a poor season, but I had honestly lost interest in this season, and for the first time used Instant Result on all domestic matches. It showed as we were knocked out of both cups early, but still won the league easily.

Now it's time to move into Europe and try and finish off the Big 5 part of this challenge.

During the season I was turned down for the South Korea job. It's becoming a little bit of a worry, that for some reason I can't get an international job. Since leaving Ivory Coast, I have been turned down by Australia, USA, England, France, Spain & South Korea. Hopefully I can get a new International job soon.

Even though I sold a lot of players who were quite old I managed to build a team that won the Premiership in the 1st season in charge. I always find the English Premiership a lot easier to win then other leagues.

I saw the opportunity to join Juventus and took it as I still need to win the Italian Seria A and also Juventus have a great squad that is capable of winning the Seria A and the Champions League.

They underachieved last season and got 5th place. Luckily we still qualify for the Champions League.

I am hoping to get a Seria A & Champions League double in my first season but the Italian league is a hard one to dominate in so we will have to see.

Ruben Serrador is my best player. He is peak Cristano Ronaldo by the looks of it.

I have also accepted the role of becoming the Portugal National Team manager which works out well as Ruben Serrador is Portuguese.

Miguel Fernandes is probably the best player in the squad.

Had to wait a year for the euros and Copa to finish for any decent job to become available.  Holland, Brazil and France were the appealing jobs that came up and i was unsuccessful for each of them.  I kinda understood the Holland rejection as that was still a little fresh but surprised i didnt get the other two.

Anyone know why or have any tips on international management?

Anyhow, the Belgium manager was poached by France and Belgium offered me the role so i obligingly took it with no other options available. They were knocked out by eventual winners Spain in the Quarters and are ranked 8th in the world.  Not sure how to be honest as they seem to be on the decline with a really aged squad.

Just adding that I also was just unsuccessful with the England job which suddenly became available as their previous manager took the helm at Benfica.  Do i need to managing in club land?

Which nations have you managed so far?

Most nations are reluctant to give you the job for the second time. it certainly can cook the challenge. I don't think club management makes any difference in that regard, but if your reputation has dropped too low, that does also stop you being offered international jobs. i can't really advise unless I know which top nations you haven't managed and what your current reputation is.

I am facing a similar problem having managed pretty much every top european nation, and like you still needing 2 trophies, in my case the Euro and World Cup.

It's worth pointing out that Australia did give me the job twice, and i believe that's because i quit the first time and wasn't sacked, so i'd also need to know how and why you left each nation.

Unfortunately it is possible to end up in a situation where you simply cannot complete the challenge. it's not just a matter of time. I have failed the challenge before having just 2 international trophies  left, but hopefully you're not in that position yet.

New Job

spacer.png

spacer.png

After waiting 6 months for a new job, we have found a pretty amazing one. I was hoping to find an International job, and despite America being knocked out in the Quarter Final to Jamaica, they wouldn't sack their manager, despite me declaring my interest in the job. Anyway it was in November when things heated up. Newcastle sacked Jose Mourinho and appointed Unai Emery. I wanted to take the Villa job, but that is going to be my last team, so I waited a few days and then Liverpool sacked Allegri. They offered me the job but I turned them down. They then appointed Matthias Jaissle and meant that I could take the Juventus job.

I have taken over in a really good spot. We are top of Serie A, in the 3rd Round of the Coppa Italia and in a great spot in the Champions League. Obviously the main aim is to do the League and Cup double. I don't really care about winning the Champions League with Juve, but if it happens then great. Hopefully we can achieve our aims this season and then start to look for our next club.

Season 9 Review

Competition Overview . League Table . Cup Results

A nice quick and easy domestic double. Obviously we took over in a great place and I was very confident that we could complete our requirements. After spending some time here I am actually quite glad to be putting this team behind me. We had 2 quality wingers, and 3 very good center mids, but that was where the quality ended. If I was going to stay to try and win the Champs League then it would need a full rebuild. The goalkeeper was terrible and cost us so many points. We would also need 2/3 quality forwards. I cant begin to tell you how many chances and sitters we missed.

Anyway we have resigned and already have our 2 new jobs.

We've got the best job in Germany after the previous manager went to the German National Team. I think this will probably be another 1 season stay unless I think that the team has the potential to win the Champions League.

In regards to Japan, I just felt like it was the best time to take an Asian job as there will still be plenty of time to get a European or South American job. Got another 3 years to wait until the Asian Cup though!

An amazing season with us winning the Italian Seria A, Italian Cup and the Champions League.

My team was just too good. I was very lucky to come across Juventus when I did.

I will stay with Juventus as the Club World Cup is starting soon and then I will leave to join a Spanish or French League team.

Edit - I just editted this post to save me writing another one but I just won the Club World Cup with Juventus.

We beat Bayern 4-2 in the Final.

Which trophies do youneed ? I thought it was 2 international ones.  Getting club jobs wont help.  Whats your reputation ?

just need the world cup now.   Reputation is still 4 stars Continental so cant really understand why I cant get a look in at club level with really low reps

I have failed the challenge before having just 2 international trophies  left, but hopefully you're not in that position yet.

from memory Ive managed just about all the top nations, Spain, Italy, Holland, Belgium, Brazil, Argentina, Portugal, France...  I dont think i had a spell with England and definitely not Germany.  Most of the times i was sacked from these jobs apart from Argentina and Belgium from memory

USA just gave me their job so at least im managing a nation but cant even get an interview for a VNS team lol

I didn't think I would be able to topple PSG so easily especially as they have won 16 out of the last 18 French Ligue 1 titles but we managed to destroy everyone including PSG very easily.

I also managed to tick another Domestic cup off the achievements list with us also winning the French Cup.

I am now off to Spain. Hopefully the Real Madrid, Barcelona or Athletico Madrid job comes available to make it easier for me :D

I got the World Cup with Portugal next.
