The Stadium

The seventh game of this World Cup is taking place at Stadium 974 which is constructed from shipping containers and modular steel.

974 is the international dialling code for Qatar, as well as the exact number of shipping containers used in its construction.

Mexico

Mexico are v good at reaching the last 16 but then simply are unable to reach that mythical "5th game" people tell them about.

Poland

Lewandowski, one of the great strikers of our generation, has never scored a World Cup goal. Can he do something about that today?

TV Coverage

It's Gabby Logan presenting with Pien Meulensteen (???) and Martin Keown (sigh) commentating.

For anyone wondering - yes, Pien is the daughter of Rene Meulensteen. Covered the women's Euros this summer and now does some EFL games for Sky Sports too, but I believe this is her first World Cup commentary. Pretty sure she's also one of the youngest BBC/ITV commentators at a major tournament in recent years.

Mexico to win 2-1, setting them up on the road to yet another last 16 exit.

'He (Lewandowski) has only had one touch in the opposition box, this doesn't happen to him'. Really Rio? Seems to have happened in every Poland game I've ever watched.

It’s like every single international tournament pundits forget that Poland aren’t as good as his club sides.

Martin Keown said that he only had 9 touches in the opposition box at the last WC.
