Maybe croatia should consider actually taking their corners.

Noone actually has the courage to say it, but Modrić's set pieces are worse than Cristiano's. He's just terrible at every set-piece, including penalties. Idk why are they forcing it so much.

Sosa, Perišić and Brozović can all take corners really well.

Haarland's sat watching with a beer and pizza right now thinking 'c*nt still won't start on Boxing Day'.

They don't play on boxing day :brock:

People thinking this is over clearly haven't been watching this world cup :D

Idk why anyone takes corners over Perisic. He's just about as good as anyone, with both feet, which is tactically significant.

Like what is keeper supposed to do there. He is literally stationary and Alvarez just smashes into him, what is he supposed to do?

The other day I said any outcome is fine, but Argentina will get all the help they can and at this point their penalties are getting just disgusting.

And it has to be that disgusting Juventino scumbag I've hated for a decade now. Utter scum of a referee.

What the hell is this nonsense? 🤣

Worse than the tripe we had to endure English ultras in here.

Best not say anything to upsetting in here as the worlds most irrelevant poster

However, well done Argentina for coming out to play against the anti football specialists

Long way to go, plenty of time for Croatia to change from a 10 man to a 9 man defence

Still better results over past 30 years than England, with the population that's not even half of London.

Because he's also the biggest aerial threat.

It's not nonsense, I've said it many, many times during refereeing discussions.

It's goalkeeper's space, he just positions himself to save the shot, without moving and the attacker runs into him. I'm talking about how the rule is stupid.

As for Orsato, he's a clueless scumbag who orchestrated many blatant robberies in Serie A, worse than Mike Dean.

Argentina blew a 2 goal lead in the last game. Croatia haven't taken the lead in about 10 World Cup games at this point.

I don't think this is necessarily over.

tbh if they'd got across the near post and scored a minute or two back, I'd say the Croatian comeback / Argentine bottling was inevitable

Croatia currently looking up "Burnley tactics" on Google

don't think Argentina deserve their lead but that's how the game goes sometimes, the 2nd goal was like watching something you rage quit in a FIFA game to, trying to clear the ball and it just keeps coming back to the striker

Remember, it's only scripting if it happens against your team. If it happens for your team, it means you're the greatest FIFA player ever/a tactical genius on FM. ;)

Mate, he puts his leg out and doesn't get the ball.

If he makes a touch, or doesn't put his leg out wider he probably doesn't get pinged for it.

I can't lose tonight, because I am totally split been wanting to see Messi win the WC and wanting to see the Argentinian team cry bitter tears because of the way they misbehaved after they lucked out against Oranje. They are one of the last to have the right to complain about the 'anything goes to win' mentality and they would even probably agree with that. But to taunt the opponent after winning is one of the all time lows I have ever seen. And Messi complaining about the ref who spared him at least 2 more yellow cards, you couldn't make it up. I can only think one thing: the Dutch really, really got under their skin. Not a bad feat for a European team with the reputation of 'nice to look at, but will never win anything because of it'.

Oh, and when Croatia lose, Vida loses, so that's not a bad thing either :D

I really can't decide.

What about some of the antics from the Dutch during the penalty shootout?
