kaivolax Posted Friday at 10:41 Share Posted Friday at 10:41 Season 9 Review SC Westfalia Herne League Table A 3rd place finish and the second automatic promotion spot! Losing Woitzyk last January surprisingly didn't affect us much as his replacement, AMC convert Ilhan scored 20 league goals and 29 in total. In the DFB-Pokal progress went backwards and we were out in the 2nd round against Köln. In the Verbandspokal sixth final in a row and the third trophy! Youth Intake Haller and Yilmaz look like decent prospects but no one is first time ready at the moment. Club Statistics Money from Ammen sell on clause is now spent on facilities and we are soon in the red again. Elsewhere Season 10 Preview Odds for survival looking rough. Though with a slightly lighter schedule with 4 less league matches and only 1 cup competition we should be able to play every game with our best 11.
JD78 Posted Friday at 10:57 Share Posted Friday at 10:57 Thinking of combining a youth only save with a build a nation save. Playing as 2 managers. One club will be classic youth only and I'll hopefully stay with them for the whole save. Probably use 'my' profile for that club. Then add another manager to start a build a nation with the idea that this manager will get 1 team to a level that they're consistently getting in Europe and the facilities are vastly improved, then moving to another team in the nation to improve them and so on. Hopefully the classic youth only club will be able to tag along! The reason being that I love a youth only save but sometimes miss the scouting aspect of the game. I've also had this idea about a roaming manager for the build a nation which sounds good in principle but it's very hard to leave a good team that you've built and go elsewhere! If I call manager 2 something like Journey Man it might make it easier! Can anyone recommend a league for this challenge? Ideally Europe and ideally a short season to keep it manageable. Malta perhaps? Or Gibraltar?

Stopped mostly because I really wanted to try the youth only save. The Gibraltar save was even more fun and more challenging when the game enforced the rule of having 4 home grown players on the pitch at all times. FM only enforces having 4 in the lineup, but not on the pitch. When players are in Gibraltar for 3 years (I think my memory is right) they can take citizenship and then a year or two later, they can play for the national team.

I'm reluctant to choose Gibraltar on reflection because they don't have a relegation or promotion so it wouldn't be a proper Youth Only. Going with Iceland I think. I'll start off and see how it goes.
Neo_Geo Posted Friday at 16:23 Share Posted Friday at 16:23 Little bit of a spoiler (as I am planning on doing 2 seasons before updating) but I was a breath away from qualifying for the Champions League proper after introducing myself to my fellow Bears at Ibrox with a 3-2 win only to lose on penalties

Skora11 Posted Friday at 19:12 Share Posted Friday at 19:12 RC Jaen Season 24/25 I finally managed to get a good save going in Spain, and my club of choice was RC Jaen. A fairly small City in Southern Spain and a club that could have great potential. The initial squad had some quality players but was a bit unbalanced, There were only 15 senior players and 4 of them were GK's. Nolla and Iriondo were great for this level but I had to come up with a formation to fit our best players in. I also had a lot of legacy players that were ageing and were due to retire soon. We had a very good season but faltered whenever injuries hit as we just didn't have the squad to compete over the course of the season. We managed to finish in the play-offs but lost in the semi final. My first intake looked decent, but nothing special. Although keep your eyes peeled for future seasons as some of the players that came through this intake feature in later seasons.
Skora11 Posted Friday at 19:23 Share Posted Friday at 19:23 RC Jaen Season 25/26 I mist admit, these seasons seem a long while ago and finding it difficult to remember too much that happened (lack of screenshots taken as well) so these initial seasons around the lower leagues will be pretty brief. We managed to improve positionally on the first season, finishing 2nd and only 3 points off top spot. We had a spell toward the season where we drew 3 and lost 2 so a few better results there could have seen us win the title. Again, any injuries to our senior team and we were struggling. A few had retired and the beginning of the season and many of the youngsters just weren't quite ready to play at this level. Many teams are professional, including us, but we had to relinquish our professional status as we were losing money and were relying on the board providing cash injections. It wasn't to be in the play-offs as we lost in the final 4-2 on aggregate. We had another 1 (possibly 2) players retire at the end of the season but the youngsters were now starting to play their part. Could we make that final push next season while we still had some of our top legacy players?
jamespthomas Posted Friday at 20:52 Share Posted Friday at 20:52 (edited) Season 2 - 2024/2025 Cymru Premier - 4th "CARDIFF CORINTHIANS WIN THE WELSH CUP AND GET INTO THE EUROPA CONFERENCE LEAGUE QUALIFYING" Season Summary First Season in the Cymru Premier, Norton Ferreira has another amazing season. 31 goals in the league, ably supported by Ieuan Owen. We finished 4th quite a distance off the top 3 teams but managed to win the Welsh Cup as TNS were knocked out in the second round, this means we are in the first round qualifiers of the Conference League. Managed to upgrade Youth Recruitment and Youth coaching. Should get a bit of money from UECL qualifying to upgrade youth facilities next season. Young players who came into the team did well but havent really progressed due to our poor training facilities and coaches. Played a combination of 4231 and 433. Will rename them bit McCabe 25a and Clarke 25b bolstered my midfield from last season, Phil Jones 25c and Paul Roberts 25d also started most games. Player of the season/ Best Player - Ieuan Owen. likely wouldnt even get games for a Vanarama N/S team so a long way to go!. Youth candidates. Positionally very good as needed CB's and full backs but was expecting better. 5 stars is an average Cymru N/S player not even the premier. Redmond Watt 26a the pick of the bunch. dkouv Posted Friday at 21:22 Share Posted Friday at 21:22 Poole Town – Season 19 (2042/43) Premiership. A much better season for us as we finished 5th and qualfied for the Champions League for the first time. Players Jacob Bibby 12a (AMRLC/ST) has developed into a top player, and our striker Caolan Maguire (AMRL/ST) had a great season despite not being a top player, scoring 22 goals. Kevin Smith 15a (AMRLC/ST) won the NxGn award but he's not very good, and Isaac Diallo 17a (DL/M/AML) finished 12th on the wonderkid list, and he is very good. Youth intake (preview): A promising-looking intake with a good striker prospect and very good personalities across the board. Facilities The board suddenly volunteered to upgrade youth facilties and I duly obliged. Transfers: nothing of note. Ron_Swanson
Stal Stalowa Wola - Poland - PKO Ekstraklasa - season 9 - 2032/33 Looks quite nice with potential, two best prospects are Dawid Lis - a versatile fullback and Guilherme Maciel - Portuguese forward who seems to suit better at left wing, both with nice personalities Best season so far and we're going back to continental cups. Thanks to winning a Polish Cup this year it's going to be Europa League instead of Conference League so tougher competition but a chance for beter money. Shortly after last game when we got all the prizes and bonuses the board decided to improve youth facilities by themselves, I didn't even had to ask

Yeah the Scottish league IRL needs a revamp, if you then draw a premiership team in the cup you can play them 6 times or 8 times if you get replays against them.
Neo_Geo
@mschafer13 no one has completed Northern Ireland yet, I’ve had two attempts at it but even though I had done well I stopped because of having to play so many games with all of the cups and having to play in the Scottish challenge cup every year. XaW
XaW - Praiense - Season 2024/25 (Season 1) - Campeonato Nacional Prio D Squad | Transfers | Finances So our first season in Portugal went quite alright, and that's just fine. Now, I usually try to pick a club with an identity to take over, and I did it here too, but it might not be obvious. However, the identity of the club is that it's located in the Açores, the group of islands way out in the Atlantic. So I thought it would be fun to try to create a powerhouse here on the islands. When I took over the club, it was evident the first season would be tough, due to the lack of players at the club. So until the last game, when the youth intake had happened, we didn't have more than 2 subs on the bench at any given time. The season started really bad as we lost 4-1 two times in a row before we got our first set of points. From then on it went better, but we still conceded quite a few goals. Part of the reason is that we started with a single central defender, and I have to retrain a full back. As the season went on we did better, and in the end we stayed nicely clear of the relegation zone and we are looking at another season at the same tier. Taça de Portugal: We beat SC Angrense, Olhanense, Castro Daire, and Farense before we lost to União de Leiria in the 5th round. Best players from the academy: Quite a few played a single match, but not enough to decide this season. mpm2342
Crewe United 2037 Season Update Season 13 Update: Finished 5th again this season with it being a little more comfortable this season. We once again won the playoff to get to Europe, beating Glentoran on penalties. We got a boost in our training facilities from last season's European money and another boost at the end of the season that is in progress. Transfers: Spoiler Youth Candidates: Still rolling on the streak of golden generations. We are getting very good players into the system such that the team now has enough potential to do very well if we can find a way to get some growth. We did get some decent growth last season for a couple of players, so hopefully a sign of things to come.. Decent personalities and some good potential. No immediate starters and one, McMurty, who we didn't sign. Squad Update: Here is how the squad is rated heading into next season. Sousa is leaving because he wants to go somewhere for more challenge, so I sold him to a lower division Portuguese team for a sell on percentage so he wouldn't play against me and he is now on a lower reputation team in a lower reputation league ... head shake! Ruddy developed very well as the starting GK. We have a few younger players with higher potential who will be starting this season - Kerr, Lindsay, Arthurs. That will set back the squad rating a bit, but hopefully pay off in the long run with our better facilities now. The squad rating dropped by 0.6 points heading into this season because Sousa left and we are starting higher potential players now. Anticipate the rating resuming the steady crawl upwards next season - hopefully a bit faster. Bingo No update
