Stuniverse
Saturday 24th October 2026 Hødd (6th) v Start (7th) OBOS-ligaen -- This is a big game for us and we'll need the Høddvoll faithful fully behind us, as I know they will be. We're in the last playoff place, one point ahead of our visitors Start. We know that if we want to still be in the playoff places by the time the final whistle blows we have to avoid defeat. Although we will be doing everything we can to try and win the game as we'll open up a four point gap over Start if we win. -- Our captain, Marius Alm, replaces Erik Frøysa in central defence. Eduards Emsis, back from international duty with Latvia, comes onto the bench in place of an unfortunate Orri Sveinn Stefánsson to give us an extra central midfielder should we need him. -- The players are devastated in the dressing room. They gave their all, I can't fault their effort, but it wasn't enough today. We couldn't live with Henrik Stakkeland and Ole Erik Midtskogen today. At times, they ran rings round us and we were chasing shadows. We know how good Ole Erik Midtskogen is, as we offered him a deal in January but he chose Start over us, but Henrik Stakkeland was the best player on the pitch today. After going a goal behind early on, we did brilliantly to equalise within a minute, but then we went 1-2 down, Marius Alm hit the bar with a header and it just felt like it wasn't going to be our day, particularly when our top goalscorer, Abel Stensrud, had to go off with a knock. We kept going though, we kept working hard, and then Brage Kvithyld's dismissal for two yellow cards really killed us. For saying Brage came on as a sub at half-time that was very disappointing. It feels like our playoff dream is over right now, but it isn't. We still have two games to play and mine, and my Backroom Staff's job right now, is to lift the players, help them feel good about themselves, and we go again against Fredrikstad next time. Stuniverse
Sunday 1st November 2026 Fredrikstad (9th) v Hødd (7th) OBOS-ligaen -- I don't like the phrase Must Win but with only two matches left, and playoff qualification out-of-our-hands, we have to try and win and then hope. -- Apart from our two injured players, everybody else is fit and raring to go. Erik Frøysa comes in for Christian Borchgrevink. Stian Nygard replaces Teodor Haltvik on the left-wing. On the bench Orri Sveinn Stefánsson and Isak Gabriel Skotheim take the place of the suspended Brage Kvithyld and Eduards Emsis. -- We are delighted with the way we played today and the result. The players were unbelievable, after last week's set-back against Start, absolutely magnificent each and every one of them. On their home turf, we restricted Fredrikstad to just one shot on target, whilst keeping their goalkeeper busy all game. I don't like singling out players, especially on a day like today when they were all superb, but... I thought Stian Nygard, on his return to the starting 11 was awesome. Alexander Ammitzboll scored his first goal in what feels like forever and it was an absolute screamer. I'm so pleased for him. The only downer on today, and it's a big one, is that Markus Karlsbakk injured his ankle and we won't see him play again this year. Other results mean playoff qualification is back in our own hands with one match to play. We know that if we beat Nordstrand in front of our own supporters at Høddvoll then we will extend our season into the playoffs.

Stuniverse
Sunday 8th November 2026 Hødd (5th) v Nordstrand (12th) OBOS-ligaen -- Markus Karlsbakk is out with a twisted ankle so Isak Gabriel Skotheim returns to the starting 11 after recently recovering from a groin strain himself. Otherwise, we stick with the same starting 11 that won 4-0 at Fredrikstad last time out. Markus's injury leaves us an empty seat on the bench so Sivert Westerlund will join the substitutes today. -- I can't stop smiling, as you can see, I just can't stop smiling. Nobody gave us a chance of making playoffs at the start of the season and here we are, we've done it. The players deserve so much credit, they've worked hard all season, and they deserved to make the playoffs. We wanted an early goal to settle our nerves and we got it after only six minutes. Then we took control of the game and, despite one or two moments when Nordstrand put us under pressure, I thought we handled the occasion brilliantly. At 4-0 we started to make changes with the playoffs in mind and then it got a bit hairy as Nordstrand pulled one goal back, and then a second goal back, but we'd done enough and won 4-2. We're in the playoffs, Hødd fans. We're in the playoffs. Edited January 8 by Stuniverse

Yeah, I think there is an issue with it being on a neutral area though, as you should have home advantage over HamKam. Stuniverse
Trying to sign our on-loan players -- We have two players on loan with us currently, Abel Stensrud from Brann and Runar Hauge from Jerv. Stuniverse
Saturday 21st November 2026 Hødd (5th) v Hamarkameratene (6th) Neutral Ground: Fosshaugane Campus, Sogndal OBOS-ligaen Playoff Quarter Final -- I honestly thought Jens Petter Hauge wouldn't join Hødd until the January transfer window but he arrived at the Høddvoll the day after he'd signed with his brother Runar. We checked and he was eligible to play so we registered him and got him training with us. So Jens Petter Hauge starts in place of a very unfortunate Stian Nygard. Otherwise we're unchanged. Unfortunately, Christian Borchgrevink has a thigh issue so nobody else has to drop off the bench. -- Fosshaugane Campus, Sogndal -- -- Pinch me. I'm dreaming. I honestly can't believe what's happening at Hødd right now. We knew this was going to be a close game and it was, although I thought we had the better of it throughout, so we shouldn't be surprised it went to extra-time. If only Adrian Hansen hadn't raised his arm and handled the ball in the penalty area we might have won it in 90 minutes. What I will say though is Martin Bergum's winning goal was worth the wait. It was a wonder strike. I doubt you'll see a better goal for a long, long time. My players are out on their feet in the dressing room. They gave everything they had and then gave some more. I'm so proud of my players. Stuniverse
Wednesday 2nd December 2026 Hødd (5th) v Kristiansund (4th) Neutral Ground: Aker Stadion, Molde OBOS-ligaen Playoff Quarter Final -- It's great to have Markus André Kaasa (broken arm) and Markus Karlsbakk (ankle) available for selection again, but it might be too much of a risk to include them this time out. Having said that though, what's the point in resting them for the next game when there might not be a next game this season? Decisions, decisions, decisions. We gave the players three days off after the dramatic extra-time victory over HamKam and they've looked sharp in training since they came back. No changes to the starting 11. Two changes on the bench where Markus André Kaasa (broken arm) and Brage Kvithyld replace the very unfortunate Sivert Westerlund and Orri Sveinn Stefánsson. -- Aker Stadion, Molde -- -- I'm bitterly disappointed, I can't deny it, it hurts to lose, and to lose it with virtually the last kick of the match is even harder to take. A real kick in the teeth. I can't fault the players, they've been magnificent all season, they've worked so hard all season, they put the effort in today, I can't fault their effort and work rate, it just wasn't to be. We more than matched Kristiansund today, we created more chances than them, but we didn't work their goalkeeper enough as, I think, we only got two attempts on target all game. We just didn't have our shooting boots on. But we go away now, we lick our wounds, and we report back on Monday 11th January 2027 ready to go again. First half we were the better side but all our shots and headers were going wide or over the bar. Then they broke the deadlock. 29 minutes ago, warlock said: A particularly nasty way to lose the biggest game of the season. Second-half we had to chase the game. At the break I changed from Balanced to Positive but we couldn’t get the equaliser. I changed to more of a 4-2-2WIDE-2 and then to Attacking and we finally got the equaliser. I had the choice then with 12 minutes to go to reign things back or stick as we were. I chose to stick and it was somewhat end-to-end. We put a couple chances narrowly wide. They scored what proved to be the winner on 90+4. Straight from the restart we attacked down the right wing, crossed into the penalty area, and headed the ball over the bar. And that was it. Fine margins, fine margins indeed. 29 minutes ago, warlock said: Onwards and - hopefully - upwards Yes. We have the core of a good squad. If I can keep a core 14-18 players together and add to them I think we’ll be contenders hopefully. We’ll need two strikers (although I will try and bring Abel Stensrud back on loan, but he’s moving from Brann to Lillestrom so that might not be possible) and we’ll need better defenders. Also, I have three or four young players in the 2nd Team I’d like to involve in the First Team. It will be a big pre-season for them. I’m gutted we lost… but optimistic for 2027 in OBOS-ligaen. Stuniverse
Until Next Time When it'll be pre-season ahead of the 2027 OBOS-ligaen season. I'm going to take a short break though... as I've gone through four seasons (2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026) at quite a rapid pace, by my standards, and I also have some Derby County FM Research work to do for the Winter Update. Don't worry, I won't be away too long. -- Any questions... Thoughts, comments, general feedback appreciated. Any questions, just ask and I'll answer them if I can. Thank you for reading and following. Until next time... Edited January 11 by Stuniverse
