When I run my FM 2024, I never run it on Steam, I click the FM 2024 shortcut/icon on my desktop. How do I update it? Please tell me step-by-step. Go to Steam, click on Library and go to Football Manager 2024. As per the screenshot below, where the green "play" button is, should be a blue button saying "update" if your game is not up to date. Click on that and the Steam will download and install the patch. In future, you should probably launch games through Steam rather than desktop shortcuts if you want to ensure you always have the most up to date version.
