I’m calling that Croatia goal as good news for England. If Group B is one of the groups that provides a third place team I think it is less likely that we play Austria/Netherlands/France in the R16 and more likely that we play maybe Slovakia or Ukraine.

Depends which other groups provide the third place teams but a good chance it could be Portugal. Whereas if they equalise here they will go back into the RU spot and play Switzerland.

It's not even about possession, but the fact that Brozović and Modrić are already dead, but he keeps both of them on.

There are no more defensively solid midfielders on the bench, the only option will be panic subs when we concede.
