Really enjoyed this post. Love reading about the thoughts behind certain processes. (Even though you said you hate recruitment focus how dare you!) But the process you are doing helps you recruit the way you want to. I do agree with what you said about attribute/attributeless. I’m not a fan and I think the system can be evolved, a graphical representation is a decent compromise.

That’s great, Yeah I’ve found it makes a real difference to the fitness of the overall squad as opposed to just the starting XI the old way I used to do it.

I love stuff like this, When I consume other FM content a lot of the transfers aren’t even explained or “he looks good” love the depth you’ve gone into. Even if it doesn’t pay off it’s a free.

Tell me about it! One thing I’ve enjoyed the last few years is utilising experienced players that the game undervalues rather than a team of wonderkids, a healthy balance works best. I don’t think it helps that the UI portrays quality experienced players who are max PA as worse than a youngster with a high PA. Looking forward to seeing the work you’ve done

This is something I’ll be diving more into with my FM24 save, Finding that fine line between making a youth player the best version that they can be whilst adapting the tactic to utilise that but without changing the core principles too much and it’s a challenge I’m looking forward to as hopefully with the conveyor belt of talent coming through it all evolves together but needs to be perfectly balanced so one doesn’t cause the other to suffer, whereas with recruitment you’re usually looking to fill a gap in the squad in the current tactic. look forward to seeing what you do with that and pick up a few tips myself. A reserve team league will come in handy, the only issue I find is if they play games on same day you might need them as subs etc Also CH4 Italia football in the 90s was peak

Been catching up with your save @_Ben_ A great time to leave Atalanta, despite not making the final of the CL, it was a great tenure and that probably would have been too early a success anyway. The move to Argentina feels like the right one and the club in its current situation feels like a great landing spot for you to lay the foundations of what you’re planning to do regarding development, I wonder how flexible you will be in regards to tactic/formation if one or two stars emerge but they don’t suit your current style, will you adapt to fit them or will they have to adapt to fit you. Nice to see my preseason post rubbed off on someone
