Yeah his changes worked in that it stopped us from being a threat, but the Dutch didn't offer much. It was a pretty meh second half. Think overall we deserved it as we were definitely the better team first half, but extra time would not have been harsh and seemed it was going that way.
I know we haven't had the most difficult of runs in any of his tournaments really, but 2 finals, a semi, and a quarter is genuinely fantastic and I don't think that many managers do that if they take over in 2016.
He was criticising there being 4 minutes played when "only 2 were added" and just causally ignored that we scored bang on 90 and it took at least 2 minutes to start playing again. No idea if that's what was being reference but it ****ing annoyed me
Croatia were completely outplaying us in that game in the second half. This is definitely a poorer second half but they're not outplaying us the way Croatia did. They've closed things up to limit us which is fair, but they've not offered much threat themselves.
I'd be bringing Shaw on, but how early do you do it is the issue. Do it at half time then you risk him playing 45 plus extra time which is not far off a full game. Too late though and you might not be getting the full benefit of using him.
How is his leg stationary? He's clearly moving towards the ball to try and block and misses it and connects with Kane. Whether that's enough for a pen is up to you, but he's not stationary.
Thinking it's not a penalty is fine. I don't think VAR should have got involved. But immediately accusing the ref of being "bent" is worthy of being joked about, especially given you've complained about loads of decisions
