  1. I think also the prize money is extremely high for the latter stages, 50m EUROS for the winner is about 2.5 x real life. More money for the latter stages will reinforce inequalities. I really should add though, fantastic mod you have made here.
  2. I'm highly likely to buy FM24 anyway as long as there is something distinctive / an improvement that interests me. I skipped FM 18 and almost FM20 (bought it due to lockdowns) because nothing grabbed me. In other years, something as simple as ME improvements has been enough for me, I think its a fantastic game. But, if I write about things that really SHOULD and probably COULD be improved. Lots of annoying little bugs that seem to go unchecked from one edition to the next - I suspect the pandemic has had huge impact in prior years here I think the text commentary needs a lot of love and TLC I agree with much of what is written about stadiums and the general visuals (non-ME) seeming to have gone backwards. Appreciate there are legal issues but isn't there scope for a wide-scale editor, let the community do things, or even individuals - just to make your own stadium as it looks IRL to add immersion? I also think on issues like these, a little more communication from SI would be really helpful. Better newgen faces - they're not good An option to play as a Director of Football - this would be relatively easy to do More development of "Create a Club" - its very limited what you can actually create and a lot more customisation should be available More features on the in-game editor - including ability to change more league rules and be creative - appreciate there are constraints on this and I'm aware of them as someone who is currently "messing around" with these things in the pre-game editor Other things: I think the addition of women's football is a very welcome, and overdue development. If it was in for FM24 great but I think it may take longer and that's absolutely fine Personally, I think the ME graphics are fine for the type of game it is, obviously incremental changes year on year are good I think the ME is generally in a good place I would love to see improvements to international management - but the problem with my own wish here is I'm just not sure what SI can do that is realistic. The truth is, international managers get very little time with players I know we all want better AI squad building, but its all about the AI and I appreciate its really hard to do in practice because its so complex
  3. I agree with @HUNT3R start by posting your tactic on the tactics forum, just say you're struggling to get results (many do, its a difficult game with a learning curve even for those with experience) and let the community give you some pointers. Just do one thing at a time though, data analysis etc can probably wait for now. Also, LLM is tough. Don't be hard on yourself and if you're trying to improve your use of tactics, not a good place to start as lower ability footballers will make mistakes, giving you the wrong impression of your tactics. Whenever a new FM comes out, with some changes to the ME, I always start with a big club, top players, so I can get a more reliable feel of the ME. After that, I do whatever I fancy next which can be anything (I'm on a retro-database at the moment!)
  4. Direct question for you. Why would SI want to make a game that cheats, and hence alienates their customer base? What possible motive could they have for this? Over to you.
  5. I would say you're describing the agility attribute, in some contexts in combination with balance.
  6. Didn't know this was even recorded for human managers :O
  7. I don't do it at all, its not how I'd manage people IRL so not how I do it on FM.
  8. I think that "he gets" is optional and his to refuse, its a contractual obligation on the clubs part, not his. So its his right to say no and I doubt it would even go to CAS. Bad luck, its not FM its reality. At the end of the day he's an employee with contractual rights on his part as well.
  9. Yes, absolutely, the game is made so we can live the dream. I think in your case though the stars relate to club reputation so to be a 5 star "team" you would need to be an elite club as it'd be relative to other clubs at minumum. The stars relating to players is different and as has been said, are relative to your own squad. So there is a difference.
  10. 1984-85 season, Norwich City and Sunderland contested the League Cup final. Norwich won 1-0, but that season both teams were relegated from the old First Division (Premiership in modern-speak).
  11. Just on the IRL average positions above, a few things. - When is this taken from(?) as those squad numbers don't correlate to Man City's present squad numbers https://www.mancity.com/players/mens - 7 and 15 very narrow, probably in-game Pep switched them. So if you play LHS first half, RHS 2nd half it'll calculate a central average position - If Ake was no. 6 as he is this season, he's likely played LB/WB and CB at different periods, again distorting the average position Average positions in a single match need to be interpreted in context, especially with a tinkerer like Guardiola.
  12. Why would SI willingingly create a piece of code that works against human players to annoy them, upset them / us? This would of course discourage them / us from buying the game in the future, and be negative word of mouth. Please people, think about this
  13. I had a player in FM17, his Determination for same reason shot up by about 10 points. Be warned, can go opposite way. I had a wonderkid I signed for Barcelona, FM21 I think, for lots of money. Determination dropped from 18 to 8! Doesn't happen often though. Enjoy it when its in your favour, scream when its against you - its life
  14. Also could do with seeing his personality type (can't see it here unless I'm missing it?) as that makes a difference to development.
  15. Tactics: FM19 introduced "defensive lines" and "lines of engagement", also I think "counter press" and "regroup" as options. FM23 made some important tweaks as well - so a LOT on the tactics board Data analysis: Is a big thing now. Your scouts reports on player data performance. Your data analysts give you specific info in simple to understand charts, on team and players. Match Engine: With changes from FM19 and FM20 in tactics has been a bit of a rollercoaster and its took time, but at current state of play certainly at high levels its good. More scrappy / realistic midfield, players behave more in line with their roles and duties, feels more intuitive. Those are the main 3 ones that spring to mind. No doubt I've missed something, and many other more subtle changes. On the whole, it will feel very different and up to date compared to FM18 so I'd say go for it.
  16. I've seen it once or twice over the years - as aforementioned only for newgens for obvious reasons.
  17. I would imagine so, IIRC they did the updated points deduction for Derby County last season.
  18. Had no response to the save file I uploaded on Monday 9th Jan 2023, there was no response to the original report in Nov 2022. I've posted again in a different part of the bugs forum, linking to the original report, and to this thread.
  19. This was also raised in the main "General Discussion" forum (link below) where there's more confirmation of this error - which was what actually brought it to my attention (I rarely look at attendances!)
  20. I'm going to link to a thread in the data section about this created by someone else but then followed up by me inc. a save-file. In short, when Barcelona move back to Camp Nou, attendances are way below what they should be i.e. around 50K mark for most fixtures. I uploaded a save file "LR Barcelona 2024-25". No response to the report has been made - original post was Nov 2022, I added info on Monday 9th Jan 2023. So I'm posting again, here. Link to original thread below. I will add another post after this one.
  21. I bought the in-game editor and in S4 (2025-26) this is what it shows for attendance i.e. way below what it should be. So obviously when there's the temp. stadium and then move back to Camp Nou there's been a weird, permanent re-set. I've fixed it with the IGE but really shouldn't have to have bought it to fix such an obvious bug that has such high impact on finances over several seasons.
  22. Save file is now uploaded Seems less affected by Champions League games - big ones e.g. Chelsea which is visible, also Liverpool, in the 90K + range as they should be. More of a domestic issue.

  24. This is really more feedback about the bug reporting system - specifically uploading. Appreciate its really important when reporting bugs that we upload .pkms , savefiles etc. But when I'm currently trying to upload a savefile, its saying "an hour" and the bar is barely moving (its only 127 Mb) - has to be accepted this will discourage people. I have other things to do with my bandwidth tonight... Btw before anyone asks, my connection is absolutely fine
