  1. Nanni takes his International tally to 18 goals with this hat-trick, in our best ever outting with the national team! Win a game: 30/3/2024 -- 1-0 vs Somalia Win a competitive game (inlcudes Nations League): Oct 15, 2025 -- 3-1 vs Lithuania (World Cup Qualifying Group Stage) Have a player beat Andy Selva's 8 goals scored record: Sept 8, 2024 -- Nicola Nanni, 9th goal vs Andorra (International League Division D 1-1 Draw) Have a player score 50 international goals: Have a player score 100 international goals: Have a new gen reach 100 caps: Have a player score a hat-trick in a game: Oct 7, 2026 -- Nicola Nanni (3 goals in 5-1 victor over Somalia) Beat a team ranked in the top 50 in the world: Get San Marino into the top 150 in the world: Get San Marino into the top 100 in the world: Get San Marino into the top 50 of the world: Get promoted from Nations League D: Get promoted from Nations League C: Get promoted from Nations League B: Qualify for the European Championship: Qualify for the World Cup: Survive group stage in the European Championship: Survive group stage in the World Cup: Win the Nations League: Win the European Championships: Win the World Cup: Become the number one ranked team in the world:
  2. On to Serie C, after 3 seasons in Serie D. Really shored up our defense this season --- first two Serie D campaigns saw us top 3 in goals scored, but 16th then 13th in goals conceded. Without losing any offensive capabilities (with one to play, currently 1st in goals scored), we shored up the defense and are currently joint 3rd in goals conceded. Two new DMs and a D(RC) who split time as center back and right wingback as needed really helped us out. Season 5 will feature our first foray into Serie C. And, as I comb through the news articles, it looks like we'll be turning pro!!!! (this despite losing an average of £25k/mo). Our initial budget is £8.25k/wk (about the same as this season, but twice what I'm actually spending), so I should be able to find some nice additions to the squad. The National Team is still shaping up. 4 points in our WC Qualifying stages were a new record for the team Two friendlies in the beginning of 2026 (Turkey and Cyprus) were very poor, and we have a long ways to go still in that regard. Andorra and Luxembourg for the European league should provide us some chance of making headway in the national stage however. 3. And, a 7-1 defeat in the final WC match brings this years campaign to a close. Final schedule looked like this: Finished with 4 points (draw and win vs Lithuania), to finish 5th on table ahead of Lithuania. Was good enough to receive this welcome message. Only moved up 3 spots total from our starting spot, up to 205th. Long ways to go yet! In the meantime, about mid-way through the 4th season with Victor San Marino (3rd in Serie D), and we're actually challenging for promotion, with 28 points from 14 matches, 2nd only behind Aglianese (on 31 points). Might actually have a bit of a chance here...if we don't fall apart and turn all of our wins into draws as we did last season
  4. Slow improvements, but improvements nonetheless. (Lost 7-0 to them in our first meeting). One match left, against the Czech Republic, and we'll likely end our first WC quals with 4 points. Which will put us above Lithuanian on the table baring a miracle win by that team.
  5. And, Finally, a competitive win for the National team! Took both a penalty and an own goal, but we managed to beat 140th ranked Lithuania in the World Cup qualifiers. The win *should* mean we don't finish bottom of the table now too! edit: Nanni now with 13 international goals. Also, the win saw us jump for spots to 204th!
  6. World Cup Qualifying match 6--- a minor improvement over our first meeting with Portugal is the best I can say about it :P
  7. I just have to say.... Now THAT was a World Cup Final!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats to Argentina, commiserations to France --- they put up one hell of a fight after a lackluster 1st half!
  8. And... follow a pair of fairly good international matches up with.... My U-19 Internationals are doing fairly well, but my U21s are doing terribly. Might bypass an entire class of Sanmarinese and tap directly into that younger generation! Loss dropped me back one spot to 208th (were joint 207th after that previous match), and with Portugal up next in the sequance, I expect me might drop back to our starting spot of 210 :P
  9. First World Cup Quals continue. Lost the lead (and 3 points) on a questionable set-piece award....but, a point is a point! Nanni continues his international goal-scoring --- now up to 11 (with 4 coming this season)
  10. Was a bit astonished until I noticed the date (this after losing 8-0 to Portugal and 2-1 to Kosovo in my first two WC matches). Still, a decent run for you!
  11. Second world cup match, a bit of a bounce back against 79th ranked Kosovo --- almost feels like a win. Have to see how goalscorer Pierini is after the Kosovo defense made sure he wouldn't score again
  12. Our first World Cup qualifying match went about as badly as I expected against 3rd ranked Portugal :P ---- Lots of work in front of us!
  13. Same as from my club side for now. the two DMs aren't natural in their position, but I use a BWM as the DM-A Solid year in 2024 International League Div D. If we can build on it, maybe we can move up next season.
  14. Same as from my club side for now. the two DMs aren't natural in their position, but I use a BWM as the DM-A and a playmaking MC as the DM-Vol --- has worked so far in the 2024 international league.
  15. And, finally we get our first win! 137th Latvia falls to us, courtesy of Nanni's 10th career international goal! Win a game: 30/3/2024 -- 1-0 vs Somalia Win a competitive game (inlcudes Nations League): Oct 12th, 2024 -- 1-0 vs Latvia (international League Division D 1-0 courtesy of Nanni's 10th International goal) Have a player beat Andy Selva's 8 goals scored record: Sept 8, 2024 -- Nicola Nanni, 9th goal vs Andorra (International League Division D 1-1 Draw) Have a player score 50 international goals: Have a player score 100 international goals: Have a new gen reach 100 caps: Have a player score a hat-trick in a game: Beat a team ranked in the top 50 in the world: Get San Marino into the top 150 in the world: Get San Marino into the top 100 in the world: Get San Marino into the top 50 of the world: Get promoted from Nations League D: Get promoted from Nations League C: Get promoted from Nations League B: Qualify for the European Championship: Qualify for the World Cup: Survive group stage in the European Championship: Survive group stage in the World Cup: Win the Nations League: Win the European Championships: Win the World Cup: Become the number one ranked team in the world:
  16. Pay attention to coach reports from your national team coaching pool. I'm constantly having my NT AssMan give me reports on players ---- then on their scouting card there is a tickbox to add them to the national pool. And if your club team finds any qualifying players, you can open the player profile, go to the national team dropdown menu, and add them to the national pool that way too.
  17. First National team win just slipped thru my fingers. Andorra scored in 63rd on a direct free kick from 25 yards or so. 2 Draws now to open the 2024 European League Div D season (Drew 0-0 vs Faroe Islands). Might be just enough points to move us up one spot from 210th. Latvia up next, hoping to grab a win then. Nanni also broke the national team goalscoring record, sitting now on 9 international goals. edit: Also, moved up 1 spot to 209th! need a good 35 points or so to move up another spot tho.... going to be a while if I don't start turning draws into wins! Win a game: 30/3/2024 -- 1-0 vs Somalia Win a competitive game (inlcudes Nations League): Have a player beat Andy Selva's 8 goals scored record: Sept 8, 2024 -- Nicola Nanni, 9th goal vs Andorra (International League Division D 1-1 Draw) Have a player score 50 international goals: Have a player score 100 international goals: Have a new gen reach 100 caps: Have a player score a hat-trick in a game: Beat a team ranked in the top 50 in the world: Get San Marino into the top 150 in the world: Get San Marino into the top 100 in the world: Get San Marino into the top 50 of the world: Get promoted from Nations League D: Get promoted from Nations League C: Get promoted from Nations League B: Qualify for the European Championship: Qualify for the World Cup: Survive group stage in the European Championship: Survive group stage in the World Cup: Win the Nations League: Win the European Championships: Win the World Cup: Become the number one ranked team in the world:
  18. Respectable first season in Serie D after winning promotion in first season. Not happy with losing final 3 games, so some work needed there. Also, a full 30 points from the single promotion spot means a lot of work ahead. On a positive note, Perri was a very good acquisition for us. Alongside Sabba (14 league goals), the team finished 3rd in overall goals scored. On a negative note, we finished 16th overall in defense. I know where I need to concentrate in the coming season! As for the national team, still waiting for our first win in a competitve match. 2024 European International League puts us against Andorra, Faroe Islands, and Latvia. We drew twice against Faroe Islands in the 2023 Euro's qualifications, so that's likely going to be our best chance for a competitive win. Win a game: 30/302024 -- 1-0 vs Somalia Win a competitive game (inlcudes Nations League): Have a player beat Andy Selva's 8 goals scored record: Have a player score 50 international goals: Have a player score 100 international goals: Have a new gen reach 100 caps: Have a player score a hat-trick in a game: Beat a team ranked in the top 50 in the world: Get San Marino into the top 150 in the world: Get San Marino into the top 100 in the world: Get San Marino into the top 50 of the world: Get promoted from Nations League D: Get promoted from Nations League C: Get promoted from Nations League B: Qualify for the European Championship: Qualify for the World Cup: Survive group stage in the European Championship: Survive group stage in the World Cup: Win the Nations League: Win the European Championships: Win the World Cup: Become the number one ranked team in the world:
  19. It took a full season (plus) of national team management, but we finally found a team we could beat! Sadly, it's only a friendly. But, after two youth intakes from the various leagues, I'm hoping to find a gem or two to bring into the national squad and bolster our chances in the coming year. Results from first year in charge of national team Meanwhile, after winning Serie E with my Victor San Marino Squad, we're sitting in pretty good shape heading into the final month of our first season in Serie D. With a single promotion from the league, it looks like it will take a fair while to move up again.... but, we'll keep at it until we do!
  20. Quite correct! I'm losing on average £30k/mo in the starting season. Had an £80k investment that brought me up to -£50k at mid season :P
  21. Nanni scored 2 late goals for me in my first International vs Kazahkstan to earn us a 2-2 draw. Hopefully he'll continue his scoring form as we get into the upcoming internationals!
  22. I ran the San Marino league save, and did a quick check on the team Victor San Marino. The same players delcared for San Marino in that save too. The good news is, after the first influx of declarations (roughly 7), the random declaration stop. (I just ran up VSM in the Serie Eccellenza Emilia), and roughly the same thing happened. It is possible I suppose there is either a bug, or something specific to these players (it's the same 7ish players in 4 different saves now). I didn't see anything in the pre-game database, but, as long as it doesn't progress any further, I'm happy with running the Serie E VSM team as my attempt this year.
  23. Well....something is definitely off here. Just restarted a fresh save, and haven't gone more than 3 days before I start getting a rash of "player x now sammarinese citizen" messages (5 of them in first 3 days). Not sure what to do at this point.... restart as one of the teams in the San Marino league, press on as is, or wait and try to figure out what's going on here. I just took a look at the game editor of the 7 that have claimed sammarinese citizenship, and not one of them start with more than 3 years of the 15 required for citizenship at the game startup. Something definitely up with the Victor San Marino save in Italian Serie D database. Going to give it a go with the San Marino league instead I think.
