Thought it seemed off. Only gotten a handful of days into save, so I'll try restarting it from scratch then.

Um... is this common? I've only dipped into this challenge briefly the last two years, and it certainly didn't happen in a full season with the team last year:

Posted 18 hours ago FM06 was the first one And I've probably attempted this for at least a decade, only in the past two seasons (w/ 2K+ playtime in each version) have I actually completed it! Came close in FM15 when I had a beast of a player come from my academy in my first year in charge of King's Lynn, scored more than 500 goals for the team, in every competition from VNN & VNS up to ECL (barring our sole appearance in the community shield). Sadly, he was never good enough to represent England somehow! Never completed in in FM15, that save is still held though as I might try to go back to it one day...as I recall, I'm in around 2033 or 2034, sitting 4th in EPL w/ a couple matches to play. Haven't won either comp yet in that save.

Having actually beat the challenge two years running (in season 20 in both FM21 and 22, coincidentally), I'm not entirely sure I will be running it again this year. But, I have started holidaying and building up a save database, just in case. So, as in previous years, I will again host those saves on my mediafire account for those who want to save time and dive in. Note: These are what I have obtained so far, but are not actually uploaded yet. I'll get to that this weekend --- so far, I have one half of the available teams, and will continue over the next week or so to find more. PS -- if you find a save you like but with a setup you don't (too many players for your machine to handle, too few players to your liking), you can download the savefile and Add/Edit league (from the main menu) to add new leagues, make leagues playable that are view only, or make them view only if they are set to playable. Eh... I started during the beta so to get as many as possible for hosting on the front page. Ended up with somewhere around 60 over the course of that 2 week period (and on and off for the next 2 weeks as well while I decided on my own team to run the challenge with)

That's usually the case when you go up quickly. For my first 3 EPL seasons I was still starting players that had a CA of L1 (albeit w/ EPL potential) --- and that was after 4 seasons in the Championship. Your rep just doesn't rise enough (nor your wage allowance) in order to attract the better players.

2nd year running to make the ECL finals. Won the league outright last season, lost to Real Madrid on a penalty shootout after 120 minutes of 0-0 football. Top of league again this year (up 1 point over chelsea with 3 matches to play + a match in hand). Easier ECL final as we face 6th place Liverpool. If successful, will complete challenge in my 20th season in charge --- the same as the FM21 version, when I won the league and beat RM in the 20th season on the night before full release of FM22. Likely finish the league tonight and stream the ECL final tomorrow, hoping for a better result this year!

Season 19th, as Radcliffe, I came this close..... My first ECL final of the save, after winning the EPL for the first time earlier in the month of my 19th season in charge of Radclffe. Had some absolutely outstanding games all season long, from an 8-5 aggregate 1st KO round win over Leipzig (up 5-1 in the away match, lost home match 4-3 where the scoring just went back and forth and back and forth --- including 3 goals in 4 minutes late in the game), to a 2KO round grudge rematch vs Atletico Madrid (who knocked me out of the ECL 1KO round the season prior). Thought I had a real chance to complete the challenge for only the 2nd time ever (completed in FM21 the night before FM22 went full release --- in 20 seasons --- after winning both the EPL and the ECL in the same season. Coincidently, I won the ECL vs..... Real Madrid!
